What a steak!? What a place!? You're taste buds will love you so much after this meal. Melting in your mouth... beautifully made steaks from the outside in.. and world class service... are just a few of the phrases you'll be saying when you leave. I was visiting some family and on one of my last nights in Germany my brother suggested this amazing steak place. There were 5 adults and 2 toddlers total in our group. I'm a huge fan of RIBEYE! Something about the look, texture, taste, and just its amazing experience behind every bite. Most places in the US don't do it right except the fortune costing ones. But this place....almost leaves you speechless. If you want a steak that won't disappoint in the local area of Ramstein, Germany - this is where you go! Pro Tip: Order your steaks at least an hour before arriving. We put in the order when we called to make our reservations a few hours before and it made a world of a difference. Could be that we were there on a week night, the fact that the place is only open for a few hours every night (it's that good), and that us and two other tables were the only customers in the place, but with our pre order it only took about an hour for dinner total. That's amazing for a real steakhouse! Even if you think you could just order when you arrive and not wait that long - think again! My brother said on their first visit there, their wait was almost an hour for the steaks alone. IT'S WORTH THE WAIT - but they had kids and most people can't wait that long for meals in general. We're just glad we made reservations. Can you imagine if there was a wait on top of that?? Places that have their owner personally deliver the steaks, check up on the table more than once, correct some missing orders with urgency, and still maintain a friendly home-like feel good caring attitude is the memorable and enjoyable experience any Yelper asks for. We ordered different weights of steak and ALL COOKED TO MEDIUM which is the best way to enjoy their steaks or salmon. Beautiful presentation... from the steak plating for each person that comes out before the steaks, a sweet balsamic vinaigrette drizzled in a creative design, a few sprinkles of seasoning salt, yummy sides like rice, salad, or sweet fries to go with it, to the perfectly cooked steaks that came out on their own cutting boards... everything was beautiful and made it all feel as if we were in a fine dining restaurant. There's a private parking lot out front which made it easy to get in and out. Didn't look like it could take too many cars but there is also street parking in case you need other options. They have kid meals that come with a free drink either chicken nuggets or steak and a side of fries. Remember to bring your own steak sauce if you prefer A1 or something. They won't have it because this steak is THAT GOOD WITHOUT SAUCE. They did offer a great tasting aioli and a curry tasting sauce with fries if that's what you need for an extra zest to your meal. And of course they had complimentary bread with a spicy salsa vinaigrette. Too hot for my taste buds and apparently they have an even hotter one, but I think next time i'll ask for butter with my bread.

Absolutely, insanely, perfectly delicious! I've eaten steaks from Australia to Vegas to Dallas to London....and no other place can compare to the steaks here. Tender, flavorful, and can hold their own against any steakhouse. The empanadas were flaky, but kept all the cheese and meat inside without the outside becoming the least bit soggy.

My family and I have just moved here, and my husband's birthday came in the middle of all of the moving chaos. I put out in a local group our situation and that I didn't know the area well. Chacarero was the most recommended place. So I called praying I could get a reservation as it was a Friday night. The phone was picked up on the second ring by the owner, who speaks English beautifully. I explained that it was my husband's birthday, and I was hoping that his restaurant could squeeze us in. He said no problem! We were able to get a reservation set, walked through the menu, how the whole process works, and even pre-ordered our protein for the night. All of this with laughs and kindness. When we arrived that evening, the owner met every client at the door and called them by name.... even my husband and I! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with authentic Chilean decor and live music. For my husband, it was a bit like home since he has family from Chile. The smile on his face said it all. The food was incredible! The steaks that I had selected that morning were cooked low and slow in true Chilean style all day. They truly melted in your mouth. The sides were equally fantastic. I had a salad and the sweet fries (sweet potato). My husband had the fries and rice. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We each had a glass of Chilean wine. I had the Merlot, and my husband had the Cabernet Sauvignon. Honestly, those were some of the best reds we have ever had. The service was top-notch and fast. We never had to ask for anything except for a box at the end of the night. LOL! It is a bit pricey but the cost is so worth it. Overall we had an amazing experience and will be going back.

OMG! I'd researched on YELP for the BEST Steakhouse nearest me & Chacarero Steakhouse came up as #1. After reading the first reviews by Americans that were ALL positive, I'd NEEDED to check this place out for myself! & I'm SO GLAD that I did! This was for an early celebration of the American's Mother's Day, a day before, along with the combined European Father's & Christian Ascension Day, next Sunday & I can't tell yall that even though the meal for my husband & myself was a little on the pricey side, it was well worth every euro. We'd placed our phone order yesterday for Saturday ONLY take away orders because of the COVID lockdown restrictions. The owner is AMAZING & is very passionate about his restaurant. Strongly emphasized to my husband & myself that his Chilean wife, himself & their staff cook with heart. For me, a Hawaiian Islander to hear that someone cooks with "ALOHA" was a HUGE marquee with bright lights screaming for me to go here. My husband & myself had arrived a little early to the restaurant before they'd opened. So, we'd parked in the parking lot, when we'd received a long distance call from our daughter & grandchildren. While we were on the phone the owner - to which I'd forgotten to get his name - walked out to politely let us know that our order was ready for us to pick up. When we'd walked in to the restaurant, the owner greeted us &, actually, took us on a short little tour of his restaurant, he'd shared that he'd spent the last 5 months renovating his restaurant. It was very inviting & I love the addition of the electric fireplaces for a cozier effect. He'd even shared with us that they'll have live music on Fridays & Saturdays when the restrictions are lifted. I can't wait! He'd shared stories of the Chilean Red Wines that they'd served. We'd bought 2: Cabernet Sauvignon & a Carmenere. He'd shared with us that the second wine is highly sought after by the French because of the specific grapes that's used to make it had originated in France but it'd died out because of some type of disease in the vines in the 1980's. It was later discovered by wine enthusiasts to be thriving in vineyards in Chile in the 1990's. He has many others to choose from: Whites, Rose & Blended - all from Chile. But, he'd shared that the 2 that we'd bought were his favorite. Even shared to blend the 2 for more flavor. I love learning new things. Since, we were celebrating American Mother's Day for myself & German Father's/Christian Ascension Day (which is next Sunday) for my husband, I'd decided to go all out for our dinners. We'd ordered their largest 500 grams Ribeye Steak with sauteed Potatoes. The owner & his wife had blessed us with fresh baked Pan de Casa (a WHOLE Loaf of Bread) & extra servings of their fresh homemade San Andreas Salsa. The bread was so soft & the crust was crispy like a French Baguette. When we'd dipped our pieces of bread into the San Andreas Salsa, OMG! IT was SO DELICIOUS! The Salsa had a little kick to it, but just enough to savor all the flavors of the herbs & spices in it. Not overwhelming at all. Then, OMG! The steak was SO TENDER! It, literally, MELTED in my mouth like butter! The owner was SO PASSIONATE when he'd shared that our steak had been slow cooking since noon! Our pick up time was for 5pm. Because they'd wrapped our steak in foil, it was still warm when we'd gotten home 25 minutes away from the restaurant! With SO MUCH juices, too! We didn't even have to warm it up again. Just plated it all & we ate our dinner in COMPLETE BLISS! The only sad thing is because of the restrictions, a lot of their side items on their menu weren't available. Like their Seasonal Salads & Corn Casseroles. But, that just means more reason for us to go back to visit them again. If you enjoy good food & appreciate Passionate Chefs that cook from their heart - with ALOHA - then this is a place that you won't want to miss! Check their website for updates, too.

Look I can already tell you that this is going to be simple as can be to write. This place was so far beyond amazing that yelp needs to add an extra star. My 400g Argentinean Beef at Medium Rare was P-E-R-F-E-C-T. I really cant say anything else to get the point across to you that I had to travel across the globe to find a steak to make my taste bud circuitry short! I mean if you smacked the steak with a fork it jiggled like...well we wont go there but you get my point right. Please don't go there ordering some medium well stuff :\ if you want that get chicken somewhere else ..(just my opinion so don't get butt hurt over it :D I had the Lotd- Syrah which was amazing. I know that this place is in Germany but i urge you not to go in there and insult these people by ordering German wine or beer unless you are German of course. I believe that the #5 Dark ale was better than any bitt or heff. Trust me. On top of all of this the service was amazing. Lucky for us we went on a slow day in the evening. FRI, SAT,SUN your food could take a few hours because unlike most places this chef isn't going to rush his Beef perfection. He even told me i could call in ahead of time to make reservations and tell them what i want and he would slow cook my steak on low temp until i got there for my reservation and then I could order the rest of my food once i arrived. WHERE ELSE IN THIS WORLD CAN YOU FIND THAT SERVICE (yes I'm screaming because I need you to hear me). I can tell you I will definitely be going back! I will also be getting more photos :)

I have been here twice and have enjoyed my visit both times. The food is good and the quality is also good. The service is great and the staff are friendly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the food is very expensive so we only go on special occassions. The steaks and meat are delicious and well cooked although we normally share because of the price. The drinks are good also but expensive and small. Overall we enjoy the restaurant but the prices are a bit too high.

Chile is in Germany and it brought steaks. Now with that said I'm sorry to say that it's not the greatest steak that you'll ever have but it is good. The flavor and thickness is there but the temperature is hit or miss. The service is slow and sloppy. To be honest I was looking to give this place a five star for it's decor, atmosphere, and authentic Chilean dishes but the service destroyed the five star attempt. Now to be honest I did come with a very large group, but to our defense we called hours ahead (which they recommend) to have our steaks ready by the time we arrived. That didn't happen. The reason why the restaurant requests that you call ahead for your steak orders is because they cook on a small griddle on low head. This takes longer for the steaks to cook and causes the hit or miss temps but chef says that's what keeps the flavor stops over cooking. On to my experience, I ordered the Steak del dia at 400 grams, a side salad, and a Pisco Sour that is a true Chilean drink. The Pisco Sour is like a Tequila Sour and a Mojito. It's a sweet lime refreshing drink but it's very small for the price, so expect to buy another one or something else. I thought because we called ahead that our steaks would be ready for us since we were a very large group but we still had to wait 15-30 minutes for our orders. The waiter took our orders on a tablet that was also the cashier for the entire restaurant. So the waiter had to walk away to check out a customer while taking our order. This slowed the process down. After everyone's order was taken, we had to wait for our drinks and a different waiter started serving us, this brought confusion to the order. Cutting to the chase, I'll say about 13-15 different steaks were cooked in my group and a couple of them were undercooked. I ordered a medium steak and it came out medium rare, I know because it was still blue in the middle. I sent it back to continue cooking but it got slightly over cooked. The flavor was still there but the texture kind of got cooked too much. Switching waiters caused problems with a couple wrong orders, like a Rib Eye that no one ordered and the waitress tried to leave it on our table but we sent it back. We also had appetizers that was delivered with the main course which is a constant problem in Ramstein. The worst part was when we had to pay for our meal. We had to walk to the front desk to checkout on the waiters iPad one by one and tell the waiter our order. This was extremely unprofessional and kills the experience of dining out. It's funny that we had to call several hours ahead to place the orders, then give the order again at the restaurant, and again at checkout. By now you would think they would have our orders memorized! Not to mention the waiter didn't charge me for one of my drinks after I had gone through my order with him and then after cashing out all the guests one of my drinks popped up as not paid! That was the last star I was taking away. So in the end, if it's just you and a friend on a slow night, I say go for it. But in a large group, or on a busy night, go somewhere else. They don't have the right people or the right equipment to support large orders and in a timely manner. The steaks are thick and flavorful, and the dishes are authentic but the service kills every part of this dining experience.

Called last minute for dinner, spoke to the owner Harry. He said we could come in, but traditionally he asks customers to make reservations. The reason was fantastic, which is that he grills the steaks slow and low, some for five hours. He had some steaks in the works, so we could come in. Our group was five, including a child. We had three steaks. 1. Australian rump. 2. Australian rib eye. 3. Irish rib eye. Harry came over to the table about four times during our two hours there. He first introduced himself, then explained how he ended up in this business and where the steaks come from. He came over to check on how the meal was going. Just the absolute best steak dinner we / I have ever had. It cost a pretty penny, but I'm thrilled we did it. All three steaks prepared medium rare I would say. We had some starters, and only one side, which was sweet potato fries. read more

Chacarero Steakhouse delivers the kind of meal that makes you stop mid‑bite and say, "Okay... this is really good." From the moment you walk in, the warm lighting and relaxed atmosphere set the tone for a great night out, and the staff keeps that energy going with attentive, genuinely friendly service. The star of the show is absolutely the steak. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully grilled, and served exactly at the temperature requested; it's the kind of quality you usually only find at high‑end steakhouses. The sides are just as impressive: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The chimichurri deserves its own shout‑out; it's bright, bold, and elevates everything it touches. Drinks are well‑crafted, portions are generous without being over the top, and the pacing of the meal feels thoughtful rather than rushed. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a date night, a celebration, or just treating yourself to a seriously good dinner. If you're anywhere near Kaiserslautern and craving a great steakhouse experience, Chacarero is absolutely worth the visit. I'd come back in a heartbeat. read more

From start to finish, this meal was chef's kiss. Chacarero seriously delivered. It all kicked off with a perfectly balanced Pisco Sour -- frothy, sweet, and sour in the best way. The bread and salsa appetizer was a nice touch (simple but fresh), and the Gouda empanadas? Melt-in-your-mouth good. I ordered the beef and loved that they cooked it exactly how I wanted -- juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The staff made the experience even better with thoughtful check-ins that felt friendly, not forced. Dessert sealed the deal: churros with dulce de leche ice cream and a shot of espresso. Sweet, warm, and just the energy boost I needed to end the night on a high note. Highly recommend if you're craving bold flavors and a little comfort. What dish would you go for first -- the empanadas or dessert? read more

Ok, so we walked in without a reservation and they did seat us. We had read the reviews about reservations and pre ordering but we thought no problem, we'll enjoy a long dinner. We got seated and no one talked to us for 20 plus minutes till we flagged someone down. We ordered drinks and food all at once for fear of never seeing anyone again. Drinks came in about 10 min. Order of bread is 2 pieces?! What the hell? It was an order, not something they gave us for free and 2 pieces? Had to wave someone down again after an hour plus for another drink. Finally food came out, at 2 HOURS!!! Seriously? The food was good, but nothing special. Not even in my top 10 of steaks. And for the cost and wait, so not worth it!!! After over 2 1/2 hours we left. No reason to go back, sorry folks!! read more

The steaks are thick and flavorful, and the dishes are authentic but the service kills every part of this dining experience. read more

Not as advertised. Expected higher quality for the price. Tourist trap. Akin to Texas Roadhouse.

FANTASTIC steak, a little bit of a wait but pre order over the phone and reserve because this place is not the place you want to pass up.

This place serves up the best steak I've had since moving to Germany. Steak del dia...amazing. I asked for medium and it came out more of a medium rare, but it was so delicious, I didn't care. My wine order got messed up, but again, the "oops" wine was great too. We were a little worried about taking our almost-two-year-old with us, but there were other (well-behaved) kids in there, so we had some solidarity. My son enjoyed the food and the guitar player they had as entertainment. A wonderful evening--thanks! read more

I'm so glad we finally got around to trying this place. If you like beef then this is the place for you! My husbands steak was cooked to perfection. He was so happy that he was groaning while eating. I had the grilled steak and cheese sandwich which was equally delicious. The service was beyond excellent and the waiters were extremely helpful. The owner even came by the table to make sure we were doing ok and to see if we needed anything. This type of service and quality of food is a rarity. We'll definitely be back! read more

My wife and I went here for dinner a few weeks back. We didn't end up having the steak but we did order the "Burger" type item. It was really bad, the buns were too hard I couldn't even bite into it, the meat was tasteless. I left disappointed. From the other reviews I've read I should have got the steak. read more

My wife and I had out anniversary date at this restaurant and we couldn't be more appreciative and pleased. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Germany! The staff was friendly, helpful, and very prompt. They have the best steaks I have found in Europe. I highly recommend this steakhouse and their wonderful staff. Make a reservation, you won't be disappointed. read more

Great food! Awesome live music every Saturdays. Do order in advance because it takes awhile for the food to come out.

I really enjoyed this restaurant! I went with a group of friends, but plan to go back with my husband. The owner was really nice, and the food was tasty. The only downside is that it takes a while for the food to come out, but when it does, its worth the wait! read more

The service was by far the best we have received in Germany, however the food was not up to par. The only good thing was the homemade salsa the owners wife made... Typical latin/Argentinian food is better seasoned and better quality. I wish I could say I would come back based on the service, but unfortunately I am a foody and food is more important. read more

So I have lived in the K-town area for 5 yrs now and just found this outstanding place. The steak was one of the best I've ever eaten and the service is fantastic. I was ordering a 200 gram ribeye when the owner himself came out and said he had a 400 gram that's been slow cooking for 6 hours and if I was interested. It was a bit more expensive but ABSOLUTELY worth it. My 24 yr old daughter loved it and my wife raved about it. The place is a bit on the expensive side but if you want "quality" food, it's worth a try!!!! read more

This place is a hidden gem. The food is prepared and served by a lovely couple. Harry and Andrea are beautiful good natured people with a great talent for cooking. The salad was amazingly fresh. The bread is awesome and fresh. The meat is incredible and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is very quaint and I love how the vibe is beautiful and how the community surrounding this place comes together and gets to know each other here at this place. Definitely a must try when your in town and a constant visit if you live nearby! read more

My wife and I came here for an early dinner. We were greeted by a friendly server who sat us in a cute booth by the window. First out was some very nice homemade salsa and bread. After that we split a large empanada which was good enough to come back for on its own. For the main course my wife had a sandwich and I had a 400g ribeye. The sandwich was delicious, very fresh tasting and the beef was tender and juicy. The steak was the best steak I've had in a very long time and easily the best steak I've had in 3 years of living in Germany. It was well seasoned, cooked a perfect medium rare and extremely tender. I've eaten steaks at a few well recommended restaurants in the area and I came away disappointed each time. That wasn't the case with Chacarero though. My steak craving has finally been sated (temporarily) and I'm happy to say that we'll be regulars here for as long as we're still in Germany. read more

We have been here numerous times since their opening and the staff and owners are extremely friendly and have always treated well so it is very saddening to have to say that tonight has been a complete disaster. We have waited nearly 2 hours for our steaks. I know they are busy after the holidays but staffing seems to be an issue. No matter how good the food or fresh waiting as long as I did is unacceptable. read more

Came back a second time. Sad to leave the area knowing this great restaurant was left behind. Owner and cook very pleasant and attentive. His wife and him have their heart and soul invested into every bite. Steak prepared exactly as you like. Sweet potato fries. Best are his choices of wines from Chile. read more

We ate there yesterday and the food was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the owners were at the tables making sure everyone was satisfied. We had to wait a bit for our food, but the owner warned us when he came to get our drink orders. The food was worth the wait. It was fresh, delicious and well made. They have a smaller menu; allergens are easily identified and they have a kids menu. They have sweet potato fries, as well as regular French fries. The family loved it and we will definitely go back. read more

Me and my friends tried this place out based on some good reviews we saw on here and yelp but it was a pretty big let down. One of my chief complaints is the wait and the inaccessibility of the staff. While the servers were friendly and accommodating they were simply spread too thin. Our order also took an insanely long time to come out and our parties food was incredibly spaced. It is really awkward to be eating my food when my friends food was 10 minutes out. Another gripe I had is with pricing. Some things like drinks were priced pretty well things like condiments were not. 1.50 for a little thing of ketchup seems pretty outrageous. The food itself was pretty good and fairly fresh but at the end when we were expecting to be able to pay with card as advertised their machine was broken. All in all this place has a lot of room for improvement in the manning and pricing areas specifically. read more

We ate here for lunch today, they were open from 1100 to 1400 on Sunday. We brought our five kids and they treated us like family. The kids loved their food and my husband and I really enjoyed everything. The owners are very friendly and speak perfect English and were very welcoming. There is plenty of parking for larger vehicles, it was relaxing and just a great experience over all. The food was so wonderful, fresh. My husband loves hot foods, so he had plenty to choose from, however, I like things more mild. We were able to order the same dish to our personal liking. I would recommend this place for couples as a date or to families. They also take credit cards, which makes it nice too. read more

This was my first time here last night. To be honest, the prices seem exorbitant for what you get. The service was sub-par. Some of the guest who were with us waited almost an hour to receive their meals, with one who finally canceled theirs because of time. Granted, this may be an anomaly, but you'd think the restaurant would have planned for a holiday weekend (4day) better than that. The empanada I had was extremely tasty...but for what you pay, it was not hardly worth it. I will probably not return there again. read more
