I just went here for a mammogram for the first time this morning, and I was pretty nervous and dreading my appointment. But the staff and technologist here made an annoying uncomfortable experience almost a cakewalk! When I walked into the lobby, I was promptly checked in and directed to the Women's Imaging area, where I was asked to change into a robe. The tech then took me in the back, and I was done within about 15 minutes. The tech was lovely, patient, and accommodating. She was very professional and helpful, too. And after I got home, I got my results within a few hours just by logging into the portal! I now have a clear report to discuss with my doctor, and I will return to Zwanger for the follow-up ultrasound they recommended. Thank you to all the staff at Zwanger Pesiri in Stony Brook for a wonderful experience! I will definitely continue to get all of my imaging done here, and I highly recommend this place! read more

I have gone to the ZP Stony Brook facility for all radiological needs including mammograms, dexas, ex-rays, CAT scans and MRI. Each time I've gone I have been seen and taken care of without any long waiting times. The desk clerks are efficient and are able to call up my insurance records immediately. Test results have been quick, complete, cohesive and timely. Comparisons have been made to previous tests, if any, and the reports have gone immediately to my primary care Doctors and my own MyChart website. The staff here are always friendly, wonderful and helpful. The problem is getting your reports. When Zwanger started and was chasing out the competition they had your reports up on the portal in 3 to 5 hours. I had a MRI done to diagnose pain in my lumbar spine. The doctor can''t treat me until we get the report posted. It is now 8 days since my MRI was done and still nothing. The reports are read remotely, so why is it taking so long now unless Zwanger doesn't want to pay for more doctotors to read them? read more

Outstanding Facility ! I live 3/4 of a mile from the Facility in Shirley, yet I travel all the way to Stony Brook when I require services of Zwanger-Pesiri. What does that tell you ? This Facility is very clean, the Staff at the Front Desk is always Friendly & Accommodating to all patients. Very comfortable arrangement of Waiting area and Medical Staff is always reassuring and inspires confidence. Definitely worth the drive to get such Professional Treatment. read more

As if this wasn't enough THEY HAVE COOKIES. (Alright fine. Cookies are a Zwanger thing at pretty much every location. This location had a full spread. Fully approved by Dad's everywhere.) Our particular greeter, Carmel, was wonderful. Our appointment time was tight as we had a doctor appointment immediately afterwards. Carmel was a-ok with the other office faxing their paperwork over. This is customer service. Thank you! Update! I couldn't remember Cindy's name. She was zooming around during our first visit, behind the desk. When you've got scheduling issues this woman can expedite. (I thank her from the bottom of my heart.) On a followup visit my Dad and I met Mary Ann. She is an extraordinary greeter. Just came from ZW in Stony Brook, I felt very uncomfortable. Did not see any evidence at all that the MRI machine or table were even wiped down at all. The locker was not clean and the tech just had me put my mask on a table along with my glasses. There seemed to be no extra precautions to sanitize anything. even the check in, the only thing the had were chairs in front of the desk so you wouldn't get too close to the clerk. This place does not seem to take any effort at all towards Covid safety. Not going back to ZW. read more

Had to do biopsy for my nodules today and asked if the procedure is painful they said no it's a little pinch it will take less than a minute. Then I asked if the needle is going deep inside my skin.. oh no it's going to be in the surface of your skin you won't feel it too much. It was all lies just to get me do the biopsy.. the needle went deep at least 1 inch and I had to stop asking for a tissue to wipe my tears from so much pain from the first take..and this idiot guy Dr had to pinch me 4 times .it was 7 minutes procedure in hell. If I can sue I will. The girl and the woman inside are evil people my neck is swollen and I'm taking pain meds since I left. read more

Mom had MRI with/without contrast done In stony brook... After the scan, she had hives. They took her back to give her benadryl without even checking blood pressure which is the standard when you are concerned about acute reactions from the contrast dye. We got the image disk from the front desk and the image resolution was terrible! Maybe the radiologist have a better software but I can only see the major structures but is unable to fully appreciate any enlarged lymph nodes (which is so important to look for in ANY MRI). What makes me angry is that I can't even get a lung window on this thing... Finally, after 2-3 days our "report" is available. But we are unable to VIEW it because our referring doctor put a hold on it... Which means that I need to make another appointment and pay another copay for a doctor to repeat the scan to me... Is this the type of deal they made with other physicians to get business?! FIRST of all... it is the patient's RIGHT to view his/her OWN scan. They are entitled to the TRUTH... How can a radiologist or a referring doctor decide to with-hold our information from us. This is unheard of in my 8 years of training... It is the patient's RIGHT to their OWN examinations and documentations... The office should be re-educated on the PATIENT'S BILL OF RIGHTS... Shame on You for muddying the ethics of medicine! I am not sure if it is their technicians who perform a poor job when scanning or the doctors who read the images that just don't care or pay attention but I have never had such a bad experience. The sleepless nights and anxiety this place has caused me is unacceptable and I will never return. Twice they have read my images incorrectly and I was put through unnecessary follow up exams and made to worry I may have a serious problem like cancer. I come from the medical field and have worked with numerous caring radiologist with ethics and this my friends is a meat market to make quick money. How about forget the damn free pens and bags and pay for better quality employees with an education. You have lost my business forever and my family and anyone who ask for a recommendation. read more

We would give 6 stars if possible. My MRI claustrophobic husband usually runs out of MRI facilities but not so today at Harlem ZP. The staff there make the experience so smooth with kindness, music, and encouragement. The techs there are the best, esp Ezra. Thank you very much. read more

The absolute worst. I've been there multiple times for MRI's and every time they screw something up. Went last week for MRI and radiologist did not look at orders and wrote the report not mentioning any of the issues the doctor was specifically looking for. Last time I went in March they screwed up the MRI and they had to put me back in the machine and redo the test. A friend went to have biopsies done and was told they were only doing one and she had orders for 2 biopsies (they finally looked at the orders and said "oh your right".) Then the didn't take enough margins so she had to go back and have the biopsies redone. An absolute nightmare of a place. read more

I was there the for sonogram has appointment went 15 min early like they said and I was in the room on the time of my appointment which took maybe 15 minutes received results in 10-15 minutes. Excellent.!!!! read more

Greeted right away. Had a US guided biopsy. Tech and Dr. very comforting. No pain! I haven't been to a ZPR that hasn't been top notch

Needed a stat sonogram. Went in waited about 30 minutes. Exam took about 30 minutes. Waited in the lobby for my doctor to get the wet read from the radiologist and notify me of the results. They weren't able to see what they were looking for on the sonogram. The waiting was the worst part but the office was pretty busy for a Monday at 1pm. read more

I have been here a few times in the past few months for a bone density, X-Rays, Mamogram and Breast Sonogram. The reception was ok. I was just annoyed because after I made the appointments, they send a link to submit your personal information, insurance card information and copies of referrals online and then ask for the same information when you get there for your appointments. I am physically disabled and found the technicians for the breast sonogram and mammograms to be excellent. The time I went for the bone density and X-Ray, the technician was ok. I received the reports quickly online. Their location is convenient, so I would continue to go back when necessary. read more

This facility and their staff is horrible. I came in for a 11:20 appointment and I was 8 minutes late. Granted. I was late and had things to do so I said how long will this take. The receptionist said you'll be in quick everything's running on time.So I fill out the paper work in less than five minutes. After that I waited 30 minutes. They said I'll be seen in 15 minutes. 20-30 minutes goes by and he finally comes out and says that their machines are down that's why they're running behind. Ohhh but the receptionist said that they were running on time. That's SO WEIRD. I did not want to wait an hour just to not be seen that is why I asked from the very beginning how long will it take. But some people are dumb and don't comprehend simple questions. Your doctors and your staff are trash. read more

I have been calling the last three days to schedule an ultrasound. After 20 minutes of being on hold someone answers and then proceeds to tell me they will be transferring me over to scheduling. They finally pick after another 15 minutes and then operator comes on stating the mailbox is full. Once again I am transferred to attending whom tells me she's going to have transfer me to scheduling. I tell her what has been occurring and she tells me there is new phone system. She proceeds to tell me she is going to transfer me to Karen head of complaint department. She gives me extension and before I can confirm I have written it down she hangs up without transferring me. I have had many CTs, sonograms, and still get annual MRIs. Never had any problems with the staff, as they are all professional, helpful, and sympathetic, as I am a nervous Nellie when it comes to that dreaded MRI machine. Waiting time is never long, and very often I'm not finished filling out the paperwork before I am being called for the exam. Results are prompt, most times within a day. I remember once, by the time I went home from the facility, the results were already on the patient portal. Can't get any greater service than that! read more
