This Zwanger location is by far the best running in the area. If you complete your forms online prior to your appointment you will usually walk right into your testing. Parking is ample and the staff is friendly. The front office is clean and organized with lots of seating. The only real issue here is the area where you are prepped for MRI's. The area is large and open with zero privacy as you answer sensitive questions. You can also clearly see into each testing room when you are in this room. On the day of my last MRI there were about four employees in this space and the room was an absolute wreck. It was disorganized and it seemed as though personal items were strewn everywhere. Although the staff is wonderful the mess really does leave a bad impression. Lynn, a nurse who has put my line in most times I have gone for testing is absolutely wonderful with the lightest touch. I am always happy to see that she is the nurse when I arrive. Overall, best diagnostic imaging office in the area, just ignore the mess. read more

West Islip whole facility has got to be the most disorganized establishment on Long Island. The wait time was an hour with no chair left to sit in, with a disabled patient and aide. They came to get the patient after 45 minutes and the mri tech said oh wait I have an another patient on the table still and no where to put you, so go back and wait. After years going to Zwanger Radiology in Smithtown this is my first complaint 4/2/2026. The radiologist has no social skills, she does not communicate with the patient during the test to assure them it will be over soon.....assuming it is fine for patient being inside the tube with louds notices and no assurance when the test will be over.....i am very dissappointed with the service provided today by the female who did not testing....and therefore am writing a review. read more

Super thankful! Let me explain why. First, I called to schedule an appointment, and the woman I spoke with on the phone was extremely pleasant and helpful. I asked for a same-day or next-day appointment as I am trying to get pregnant, and my doctor believed I had a dangerous cyst and wanted me to get an MRI with contrast on it. Well, this woman called all these locations, got the pre-approval, and worked her magic. I was extremely impressed with the customer service. The second thing that happened was when I got there I got all setup and the NP I believe found out I was looking to get pregnant and was concerned that the cyst may not be a cyst and could be a follicle since it was over a month since not getting my period. She did a normal preg test but it was neg but it could be just that I was early. The thing that I loved was that she was so concerned and understood what my concerns were and asked that I come back a different day after my blood work came back with a negative preg test. I am so I'm[dressed that she was truly concerned and thought what was best for me. I feel so comfortable and thankful for people looking out for others and not proceeding with something that could harm a baby if this were to be done... so Kudos to that NP! Zwanger Pesiri Smithtown is the best radiology place around!! The equipment is all state of the art and top of the line. The office is always clean and the staff is super friendly. Unfortunately I have needed a lot of tests due to medical problems. Zwanger Pesiri is the preferred radiology venue for me. I have always been treated with kindness and respect here. I like the Smithtown location if only I could get an appointment. Nobody would answer the phone. This is Fri. Sept 10 2021.

So, I had an appointment for MRI at 320pm, checked in online and got there at 310pm with prescription, insurance card and driver's license in hand. They took my information and told me to have a seat. Five minutes later, they call me up at and tell me that they are runnung 40 minutes behind and the nurse is leaving at 400pm so they would not be able to see me today. They offererd to try to send me to another office which was nice but why do I want to run from Smithtown to Brentwood on a Friday afternoon during rush hour traffic after working a 12 hour non stop day in the medical field myself? My schedule is hectic and I have a difficult enough time scheduling my appointments. However, I took the time to register prior to my arrival and showed up 10 minutes early. So why am I the one not seen or cared for? This basically tells me that my business is not important and doesn't matter. So, I guess my diagnostic needs will have to be taken elswhere. I've been having excruciating foot pain from a car accident for years, I broke seven toes and tore ALL my tendons and the balls of my feet in 2012! I've been on pain medication for years masking many problems, I went off all the meds, not my choice and can barely walk so my new doctor sent me to Zwanger for an Ultrasound in Smithtown and as usual, they were AWESOME! Very nice set up of the office, but would be nicer if the women in the back weren't gossiping while waiting to be seen. After going into my room, someone new did my breast ultrasound and she was not very friendly. I would recommend training your employees on how to make the patient feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. I'm sure you have some great employees, I wasn't lucky enough to be seen by one of them on this occasion. When the more experienced technician came back in and re-did the ultrasound it wasn't much better. They both left the room and came back in and told me my breast mass was just a lymph node and not to be concerned. I left the office feeling very unassured, and even more scared. I was asking why my lymph node would be enlarged consistently for a year, and they made me feel like I was being annoying for asking questions. After that, my gynecologist called me and told me the ultrasound looks good, but if i was still concerned I could see a breast specialist and get a biopsy done because she understood my concerns, especially having a grandmother who has passed from breast cancer at a young age. I was very disappointed with my experience at zwanger-pesiri in Smithtown. I think the staff could defiantly use some training on how to relate to patients who may be feeling scared or nervous about their visit. read more

While the staff here was wonderful both times we were here this location is not easy to maneuver if you are handicapped. Doors are heavy, both inside and out. Ramp to get inside is cobblestone and not easy to push a wheelchair up while attempting to open doors to push through. read more

I explained on the phone that my mom was very ill and needed a table that lowered to get her on the table due to her many disabilities. I was assured that this was all noted. We arrived promptly and I had to re-register after doing this online in advance. Their portal does not work properly. We had to wait 45 minutes for a room with a lowering table to open up as the first room table did not. Completely unacceptable! My appointment was at 1:00pm and we left at 2:30pm for a 20 minute ultrasound. Never again at this location! read more

Although I was in and out of this facility fairly quickly for my MRI, it definitely lacked a personal touch. I was greeted by a gentleman who was very pleasant and professional. He was able to quickly move me to the back room to get started. This is where things went sour. I was very uncomfortable with the set up in this back area. It was a large open room where it split off to the different MRI machines. I was getting a needle inserted in my arm as another employee was 2 feet away eating her lunch and texting on her cell phone. The other workers were sitting around chatting about nonsense. The girl who was putting in my needle never asked me which arm I preferred and just started wrapping the tourniquet on her arm of preference. Then another girl started asking me personal medical questions from 20 feet away, across this wide open room with four other people present. I was then whisked into the MRI room. The girl asked me twice if I had any metal in my body, which tells me she wasn't paying attention the first time I answered her. She was pleasant with a smile but it was very rote and impersonal. I am fortunate that I am not easily rattled by being enclosed in a machine, but didn't feel like my needs were being considered. It was more about about moving patients through the facility than stopping to find out if the patient was comfortable. read more

I went there for an MRI, the first one I ever had. My experience was very unpleasant. There was absolutely no explanation of what to expect regarding both the duration and the noise level associated with the procedure. I was very uncomfortable and unprepared. I have been to this office a number of times. The staff is thorough and efficient. Testing has been delayed due machine malfunctions in the past, or perhaps another reason and they blame the machine. Nevertheless, they have sent results to my physicians in a timely manner. I'm pleased with the efficiency of this office. read more

Receptionist here are so nice in smithtown location this one girl in particular, Fallon, was so sweet. She speaks very professional and is very helpful. Usually receptionist have attitudes but I'm happy this office hires nice people like this. It makes the environment so much more welcoming. Now I will always come here! read more

This Smithtown/Maple Ave. Office is the most Professional,Friendly,Flexible when needed,and efficiently run office I've been to. And I am a frequent flyer so I can truly attest to this. By the time your done with your test and get back to the front counter a copy of your test is usually already printed on a disc, or is ready within minutes. I cant say enough about the staff as they really do go out of their way to make your visit as smooth and comfortable as possible. They have a very well "oiled machine" running over there at Zwanger Persiri, and if you've never been there, well folks I highly recommend it's time you give them a try. I'm sure that's all it will take for you to be a life-long customer. By the way, I am just a very satisfied customer myself, and not by any means a paid employee or anything like that. I really would like to give this office 5 stars because the receptionist that had helped me with my appointment was very very sweet. However I came in to get a dye I needed for a certain scan and I had no idea one of the entrances was not an entrance and when I went to walk in I was rudely greeted by one of the employees doing the norm for this time period which is screening questions for corona virus. First time her attitude kicked in was as soon as I walked up to the non entrance on ACCIDENT. "This isn't an entrance your not supposed to come in here you can come this time" very rudely , so I said sorry and walked through then she proceeded to ask me questions , as I answered her questions I stopped and asked if she needed to take my temperature as well ( because earlier I had another doctors appointment and when I was screened my temperature was taken) she then clapped her hands together and tilted her head and proceeded to talk to me like I was a child saying "my job here is to ask you these questions" I stood there in shock and answered the rest of her questions then when we finished i informed her she had a disgusting attitude problem. I was then helped by a very sweet receptionist who made me actually wanna keep my appointment at that office. So anyone coming to this office be aware of the attitude as soon as you walk in!! But once you get past that woman the other staff members are very sweet! read more

I cannot believe I'm actually reviewing an ultrasound facility! But I have to. I took my 1 year old baby in for an upper GI over 12 hours ago and I'm still thinking about it- I cannot remember ever being treated so well by anyone in the medical industry. They were so good to my baby and were so respectful to me and of my time! But it wasn't just that- it seemed like everyone I encountered was very kind. I felt like I was in an alternate universe and thought someone was punking me by the time I went down to pick up the disc with the results, because the girl down there was a complete doll. I think they are all just nice! Complete craziness. Hopefully I never have to go back but if I did I would definitely take the hour ride there again. Also a special mention of Jen, an office manager who personally helped orchestrate this appointment and made me feel like how she would treat a family member or friend. Extremely grateful for this place and how they handled my sweet baby boy. read more
