Looking for kid's dress shoes, and though this is a huge store and has lots of casual kid shoes, only a couple of dressy pairs. One in clearance, with only tiny or huge sizes left. I'm sure for more general shopping it's fine. It's a nice bright store, lots of shoes. Not exactly cheap; in fact some of the kids' shoes cost more than mine. But it's nice to have a real shoe store, not just root around in the scraps at a department store. Rare nowadays. Customer service is awful at this location. There were four people working at this store. I arrived for a curbside pickup, called when I arrived and was immediately put on hold. She never came back to the phone. I went in the store to get my order and 20 minutes later my call was still on hold. They never came back to the phone. Would not go to this location. Went at 12pm on a Tuesday and they were not open, even though 2 associates inside working. No sign saying they were closed, just locked doors. This was a very nice shoe store located in Lennox Town Center. The interior was clean and well organized and packed with, of course, a wide variety of shoes divided into Mens, Womens, and Kids sized sections, plus clearance racks and shelves along the back. They also offered some additional accessories, such as bags, socks, and the like. We were able to locate shoes that fit the bill for what we were looking for. The staff was friendly and efficient. There is plentiful parking in the shopping center lot. read more

This Famous Footwear isn't as bad inside. It has a lot of brand name shoes so this would be where to get those. The best stuff isn't too expensive. It has a few helpful employees along with the college students. This isn't the best shoe store but it has lots to choose. I can find better prices a lot of other places. It's a chain which is a turnoff. They do have some deals in the back of the store. It's still not great prices, but it's better. There are many other places to choose over this, but will still come in if looking for something that can't be found in another shoe store. It has sometimes helpful staff here. They seem like the typical slacker college students so good luck getting some assistance. I would choose some other shoe store instead of Famous Footwear if they had better prices and more selection. It seems a lot of them do so that's why it's not one of my usual places. This is still a good store if you can't find shoes. read more

I used to be a bigger fan of Famous Footwear but I feel like their selection isn't as good as it used to be several years ago. This location is ok, the selection is decent but not great. I think it lacks in the cute flats department. The service is ok, nothing to really write home about. Sometimes you can snag a good deal if they have sales going on so look out for that and their clearance area in the back. They do have a pretty good selection of sneakers, casual flats and sandals or boots depending on season (women's) so if that's what you're looking for you'll be set. Tip: parking can be a nightmare if you're closer to target so park closer to World Market for less congestion. read more

Famous footwear in Hilliard, OH is the absolute worst!! We had a gift card that we've been trying to get rid of for months. The first time we arrive close to 6pm, there is list of temporary hours. Ok, no problem. We go a different day, this time during the day. When we asked for help to see if they had a specific shoe, we were told "if you can't find it, we don't have it." And then there was this past Thursday, 9/22. We arrive at the store with 15 minutes to spare. We knew exactly what we were there for, the associate hurries to the door as we are walking up and locks the door. When the other associate is letting out a customer, we ask, why the doors are locked when it was clearly before 6pm. The associate says "it's not our fault that ours clock's are different than yours!" We ended up going to a much nicer store to use the gift card, and our family will never shop there again. I'm not gonna lie: I treat my shoes with the same love I treat my mother :) Good shoes are precious - fashionable, must be comfortable on the heel and toes, should be decently priced, and should bring a big smile to the face. Ok, so maybe that's my standards, and others would argue. Nevertheless, searching for the **right** pair of footings is very important to me. The "dilemma"? I have rather wide feet. Shoes these days seem to be made for the majority of the population, which is NOT wide :( Thus, over the years, it has become more difficult to find good, sturdy, comfortable shoes made especially for a wide foot. Over the years, I've relied on online shoe aggregators to search and find the biggest selection of wide shoes. So, I was thrilled to find a pair of wide casual flats on my favorite website - that where also being sold at Famous Footwear!! AND, these flats were being sold on famousfootwear.com for one-third the price of my go-to website. Their website said the shoe was available to buy at the Lennox FF location, and since this is close to me, I decided to take a trip westward! Upon walking in the door, a young (college age?) gentleman greeted me. I told him the exact shoe (brand, name, and color) that I was looking for, he took me right to the spot for casual flats. What a nice, polite guy! He helped us search for it even. When we couldn't find the shoe in the store, he proceeded over to the computer to look up the item on their website. After a few minutes wait, he came back and informed me the shoe was only being sold online. I immediately told him to add the two pair i was interested in to my cyber basket, and proceed to check me out online. I paid for the shoes and prepared to wait 5-7 business days to get a call that they where in. After receiving the call that my order was ready to pick up at the store, I was giddy with anticipation - finding good quality shoes for wide feet is not an easy feat!! I returned to the store to pick them up, and again was greeted by another young (college?) lad. Since I was in a hurry to get home, I did not try on the shoes at the store, upon picking them up, but Nick informed me that returning them would be no problem, just to bring them back in. As soon as I got home, I stripped the socks and pulled open the box to try these "purdy bruts" on. A sigh of frustration came out of my mouth, as I realized they were a tad to big. I wasn't sure how many pairs were left online, so decided to call Nick at the store and find out my options! Luckily Nick answered, and I explained my situation. He put me on hold while he went to talk with his manager. After, gosh, maybe five minutes, Nick (with a pleasant, encouraging voice) explained that I have to bring the pairs back before I order a new pair, and that there was still plenty in stock at the company's warehouse. So, I have to make an extra trip today, but I'm not disgruntled about this situation :) i haven't been to a Famous Footwear in over 10 years, so this ordeal has assured that I will definitely hit up FF more often, when the feet call :p read more

I can't believe no one has rated this shoe store yet. Not that it's anything really special, but it's the closest shoe store to campus. The entire Lennox area is flooded with students since it's the only place many of them can get to to do their shopping. And unless they want to buy their shoes at Target or wait until their family takes them shopping, they can come here. Famous Footwear shares its parking lot with the surrounding businesses (Target and Petco) and the Cota buses also come this way. It's not bad considering that it's the only option. But Famous Footwear isn't the best shoe store ever. They don't have the best deals, and some of their shoes can be downright expensive. But sometimes it doesn't hurt to come in and look around. I used to come here as a student since I also experienced the limited options issue. This was the only place with a decent selection of shoes since Old Navy hardly ever carries shoes besides flip flops and Target doesn't have the greatest number of options. This store is pretty big, and they sell shoes for men, women and kids. All of the sports shoes here are expensive, but that could also be said for name brands anywhere else. Towards the back of the store is usually several racks of sale shoes, and while the sale prices aren't usually that impressive, I have made some exciting finds here. The sale items have these big brightly colored stickers on them - each color stands for a different price range. One instance stands out in my mind. I was just browsing through the racks (not even in the sale section - so it helps to look everywhere) and found a cute pair of beaded slip-ons for only $10. I still have them. Another time I found some really cute pink and white tennis shoes by Sketchers for only $20. Every once in a while I do find something really good here. I'm not the biggest shoe shopper. I don't want to pay a lot for shoes and I'm really picky. I rarely find something that I'm crazy about and it's cheap enough for me to actually buy. Sometimes Famous Footwear delivers on that front, but I usually prefer to go to DSW because I find more of what I like there. One good thing about Famous Footwear is that you can sign up for a free card with them. It's not a credit card, but more like a points or rewards card. Whenever you buy something here, you can have the points added to your card and they will send you coupons and discounts in the mail. That's usually what keeps me going back here - every now and again I'll get a $5 or $10 coupon for the store. It's kind of a nice perk. They have a few other things besides shoes - socks and hose and stuff like that. One time I came here and found some shoelaces for my boyfriend because his broke. They had a really good shoelace selection and even had the color he wanted, which sounds stupid, but when you need some it's nice to have options. It's not a bad store. I've found the service to be helpful and friendly and it's a nice nearby option if you're in the area and not feeling like dealing with the crowds at Easton or Polaris, for example. It's not as cheap as Payless, but has a better selection with better quality. But for me, I'd almost always prefer DSW because I think they have better sales. read more

This store is not the store I used to shop in. It has a dirty feel and sloppy too. Movable racks of shoes which never used to be out on the floor. It reminds me of they were in the middle of stocking shelves and then it was break time and left everything out. Three employees walked by me deep in conversation. Not one of them acknowledged me. They walked right on by and kept on talking. One even asked if it was time for lunch. This confirms why I shop on line! With a size 12 shoe, it is nearly impossible to walk in to a store and find a shoe in my size. Regular shoe stores usually only carry up to an 11 in athletic shoes. Even then, a size 11 is rare. Famous Footwear is one of the only places in Columbus where I can get quality shoes in a size 12. I went here looking for running shoes a few weeks ago. Normally, I have to get a size 10.5 in men's shoes, but they had a few options with a size 12 in women's! I really mean a few - I think there was 4 pairs. Anyway, I am not picky so I ended up getting a pair and they are great! Sometimes the price point can be a little high for "discounted" shoes, but the size 12 option makes this store an awesome choice for me! read more

I'm a fan of Famous Footwear. They have a modest selection and some nice styles. The deals can be incredible, particularly the buy one, get one half price deal. I tend to like having a pair of shoes I like a lot and a pair I don't care about. Like, right now I have some handmade, all natural Vans slip-ons that I wouldn't dare wear to a punk show, and then my Sperry Top Siders that look better worn than spiffy, so bring on the beer-flinging and toe-smashing. So that's a good deal for me. You can find Chucks for between $25 and $35, which is a lot cheaper than elsewhere these days (gasp). There is always a decent clearance selection and it's conveniently located near campus. A go to for me. read more

Between this Famous Footwear and the DSW at Polaris, I can usually find something that fits me in the clearance sections. I have the opposite problem of Gwen W -- my feet are very narrow and I don't always want to wear multiple pairs of socks to make them fit. So there are a few brands that I tend to look for when shoe shopping -- and I often find them on clearance here. $50 and $60 for Nikes in clearance section. Was in the area because I had to get my phone replaced and the center was nearby. A very nice FF store that had a lot of name brands and one of the better clearance sections I've seen for a FF store. If you are near the area I would recommend giving this place a look into if you want some decently priced foot wear. read more

Customer service nightmare at this store. I ordered shoes online for pick-up in the store. It took 10 minutes to find a sales associate to help me pick them up. Once someone came to help me, they told me they voided my order. I had already paid for the shoes online and they voided my order! Why is my order being voided if they have already collected payment?! The e-mail says all I need to do is bring my photo ID and/or show the email to show an employee, pick up my shoes, and I'm out the door. Nope! Now to add insult to injury my credit card was charged even after I made a formal complaint to customer service and this sales associate confirmed TWICE she had voided my order. Nothing was actually done to help me! This has been the most frustrating shopping experience I've ever had. I never write reviews like this, but I feel now I should warn everyone about this place. Buy your shoes at Target next door! I'm boycotting Famous Footwear and telling everyone I know about this terrible experience. read more
