After our initial consultation with Kimmylea, we decided to go with the Something Blue package since we were early on in the planning process. With this package we planned alongside Kimmylea and got the day-of coordination. She helped us every step of the way keeping us on track with booking vendors and even recommending vendors as well. Kimmylea was so easy to get into contact with. She always responded in a timely manner and we had several meetings along the way as well which helped us feel prepared. The wedding day was stress-free for my husband and I and our whole family. Kimmylea and Beau set up everything and tore down which was so nice to not have our families worry about. At the end of the night I found out our venue's security guard never showed up and they wouldn't be able to serve alcohol without one. Luckily Beau was able to fill that role due to his occupation. I'm not sure what would have happened if Kimmylea and Beau weren't there, but I'm glad I'll never have to find out. Kimmylea also stepped up when I was feeling uneasy about a last minute DJ switch. She contacted the owner and helped reassure me that everything would be great. If you are looking for a wedding or any type of event planner, look no further. Don't do it! We signed our event booking contract for our wedding reception back in November and…read moreanticipated working with the team shortly after to begin planning and designing our special event. We didn't hear from anyone for months. Nothing like adding stress to a bride and groom's wedding! Towards the end of December, we finally pulled the plug and reached back out. Due to personal family situations and the lack of effort or work from House of R - we asked for a refund. After a couple weeks of silence and follow ups, we finally heard back from the team with a confirmation they would issue a refund and stated we should receive within 3-5 business days. The refund NEVER came. Many follow ups, emails, text later - GHOSTED. Thank Goodness our credit card company had out back and was able to dispute the deposit and we got our money back. However, it took 4 months to get to this point. So disappointed. We loved the space and photos of previous work done - but the terrible customer service, zero work done, and lack of follow through with this venue speaks for itself. You've been warned - Just don't waste your time here!

When they say they produce "epic event experiences" they are not kidding - this was a fantastic party! So much thought went into the planning and detail from the décor to the lighting to the food ... there were various Beatles buttons on the tables, drink coasters with song titles, 3 kinds of cake, a bar, charcuterie board, little meat sliders, cardboard cutouts for photo ops, a "phone" to record a message - the list goes on and on. Even the bathroom was decorated and playing Beatles music. The McGuigan Brothers even showed up to play about 90 minutes of Beatles covers (a la their well known Interactive Beatles experience show). The birthday girl had a blast as did her family and friends. Many of us hadn't seen each other in the past couple years and several people even flew into town for the party. This was a great place to host this type of event. I was dropping hints to my spouse that a Bowie themed gathering would be pretty cool someday!!

Reasons why this company is the BEST I've ever seen: 1. He had the entire wedding party's names memorized, including the parents of the bride/groom. 2. He kept the entire evening moving at a great pace. There was never too much down time, and it also never felt rushed. His leadership orchestrated the bridal party's entrance, table dismissals to the buffet, tossing of the bouquet, garter toss, bride/groom shoe game (which was awesome), video presentation about bride/groom, dollar dance, and he made sure to play guests' song requests. 3. He spaced out the songs to keep a variety of people involved. It would go from upbeat music, to crowd faves (cha cha slide, etc.) and then back to slow songs. 4. Enthusiasm! He had a great attitude and comedic lines the whole night! If I had my own wedding to do again and if I lived in the Omaha area I would DEFINITELY hire this crew to DJ my wedding. On that same vein, the more people come, the more profit they'll make which leads to more improvements they can make and more activities they can offer. To me, this place is truly a gem especially being open 10am- 10pm everyday from April to the end of October, weather permitting. The owner, Dale, was super friendly, helpful, and had a warm welcoming personality that already has me eager to come back. I'd love to bring my family and friends too!
