Sure it looked appealing with lots of meat but the taste/sauce was pretty plain to me. It lacked character and emotion... ultimately I felt forced to eat so mediocre and once I ended up halfway into the sandwich... look at that... no more meat... just lots of salad leafs though? I've had a lot of pulled pork in my life and this didn't hold its ground at all. And the lemonade? It was pretty watered down. This was shameful. I consequently helped myself to some homemade lemonade down the street at Ben & Jerry's... which was made completely in front of me. Delicious.... Perhaps a bad day but not a good experience. Lobster taco was kinda average, it was 14$ for one taco which is really pricey and was not even that great. My halloumi taco was not bad but needed hot sauce make it more flavourful. I liked that they had about 20 types of sauces to add to your food, some were even homemade. Experience was good and the food was average, I wish the food was better, I mean we paid 22$ for 2 tacos...

Today's food truck experience was Chaud Dogs which specializes in gourmet hot dogs as you might guess from its name. These aren't your average hot dogs and are definitely worth trying. I opted for the chili dog and fries and neither disappointed. The chili used was nicely seasoned and added a good flavour to the hot dog. The homemade sausage also was pretty good and miles better than any usual hot dog you'll ever get. My one complaint is that the bun is a little small which makes the hot dog difficult to eat as they really stuff it with toppings and the sausages are fairly large to begin with. that being said though I'd be very willing to go back to this food truck again.

Chaud Dogs is, as one could probably guess based on their name, a truck that specializes in gourmet hot dogs. Everything they use is 100% homemade - be it the handmade sausages themselves down to the mustard and ketchup they use. They have a focus on using seasonal ingredients and a desire to support local farmers through local markets. An awesome concept that I believe we can all certainly get behind. On this day, the truck was offering a homemade corn dog, a 'Wu Dog", black bean salsa, house fries, bottled water and a Lemon Thyme soda. While there was some temptation to try everything, I held off and decided to stick to the two dogs for this particular visit. If the dogs held up, then I would be back at some point to try the side-dishes. First up, the Chaud Dog corndog. A nice housemade play on the classic pogo. The sausage itself was quite good and the corn batter around it had a slight sweetness. The batter had a nice crisp to it on the outside but was thick enough to be nice and moist inside. Add to that homemade ketchup and mustard on top and you have a solid offering. If you don't like pogos, I don't think this will change your mind but for the rest of us, this corndog will do quite nicely. Secondly, the "Wu Dog". A very unique Asian-inspired play on the standard hot dog. Here you have a grilled sausage with a sesame/poppy seed bun, marinated carrots and Daikon radish,crispy chicken skin and hoisin sauce as a condiment. Big winner for me on this day. Each individual component was well done and created interesting contrasts in terms of both texture and flavours. In particular, the use of the marinated vegetables and hoisin sauce really added a lot for me. I loved the chicken skin but honestly their presence made it hard to actually bite into the hot dog as one would want to do. I ended up eating most of it separately and leaving myself smaller pieces to actually bit into on top of the hot dog. Regardless, a very creative option to be offering in this truck. Two for two so far in my food truck experiences this year. Love the fully housemade concept, the creativity and the flavours that Chaud Dogs brings to the party. If one is craving a good hot dog, Chaud Dogs is definitely one you want to look for this summer in the street of Montreal! Cheers!

But still other choice like Asian cuusini, African, Peruvian, etc. There is no trash bin. You take your plate to a boot where they sort it into compost, recycling and trash which keep the place nice and clean. There's a lot of seating although none are shaded. But since it's mostly end of the day, it's not a big issue. Waiting time do vary by truck. Some you wait 2 min then eat, other the line can get very long. I tried many things on my first go and I wasn't impress unfortunately. I waited about 40 minutes for a smash burger at buns buns (the wait time was caused they had gas issue and the burner wasn't turning on). It was an ok burger. No seasoning on the meat, was missing flavour. I felt like eating a watery burger. I also trie Mr. Mechoui poutine which is porc and beef mechoui with oignons, mushroom and Mr. Mechoui sauce. The sauce is mostly the juice from the mechoui. Because of that, the poutine tasted pretty bland. The meat itself didn't taste a lot. Maybe other poutine sauce they have like the maple bbq taste better. I had a spicy popcorn chicken in a waffle cône at victory bbq. This one was very good. Spicy, juicy popcorn chicken, the waffle itself was sugary, was very good. I will come back next month. I don't get why it's only a monthly even though, it seems there's enough hype to have it weekly each Friday and Saturday of summer.

They have over 400 food trucks, don't make our mistake and bring cash as many of food trucks don't have card readers. If you go early before 6pm you will find somewhere to seat. They have music and games for kids usually. You obviously get a great view of the Olympic stadium. I enjoyed my time there. Great food, dessert and drink selection. Prices are reasonable, portions are good.

The bacon was very crispy and some not so not so it made for a nice texture. The cheese which they give a lot of was cold and Fresh and the gravy wasn't dark wasn't light it was just right. As I always do when I go to a restaurant, I eat things that I would not cook for myself. Hence, I opted for a "guedille au tartare de boeuf" and sweet potato fries. I first thought I was being a little daredevil to buy a tartare from a food truck. Anyway, the tartare was delicious. The beef was obviously super fresh and you could taste all the spices and flavours added to it. The bread wasn't too big either. The fries were surprisingly hot and crispy. However, the portions are indeed very small for the price ($16 for both I think). I finished my meal and I was still quite hungry. I wouldn't eat there every day. It's too expensive. But now that I know that Marché 27 is an actual restaurant, I have a new restaurant to discover!

Chef Martin Juneau and his team at Pastaga (love their brunch if anyone is looking for a good brunch spot) have created Monsieur Crémeux, a bar all about slushies and soft serve ice cream. They do vanilla ice cream and then offer different augmentations to said ice cream - in the form of different sundaes or a Mont Blanc. I decided to go for the pecans, maple bites and maple syrup sundae. Off the bat, the soft serve vanilla ice cream is killer. Nice soft silky texture with a great vanilla flavour. Great base to add some sweeter additions. The maple and pecan crunch added some nice contrast to the smooth ice cream and the maple syrup... well it's maple syrup people. You all know what that adds to a sundae. Just a great sundae - the perfect summer treat as you walk around downtown taking in the sights and sounds. Cheers!

We asked if it contains alcohol and the answer is no! Therefore it is kid friendly! Yay for that. But it does taste like the cocktail. I took the blueberry one and it looks like it contains real blueberries inside. However, my boyfriend thought it tastes like raspberries. We have yet to try their ice cream. They looked really nice and the staff was also extremely friendly and helpful with our questions! 4/5 starts because the slush were not extraordinary.
