Cinsei offers matcha done simply and well. I stumbled across their IG page and excitedly headed downtown to check them out. The space is bright and cozy and patrons were chillin', whether on their laptops or checking out the sizeable manga collection. The soundtrack was smooth and relaxed hiphop and r&b. Totally my style. My friend and I were warmly greeted. We placed our orders for matcha with oatmilk sweetened with one of the housemade syrups. I chose honey and my friend chose brown sugar. Cinsei is an intimate spot where time is unrushed so checked out surrounding scene while we waited for our drinks. I enjoy the earthiness of quality matcha and appreciated the simplicity of my drink where the matcha was truly the star of the show. It was delicious. I plan to return soon and often.
