I was told that this was a Mediterranean restaurant, but based on their website, Zivio says that their cuisine is Bosnian, with a cultural clash of Turkish, Greek, and many other Central European countries. Super cool! I got the O.G. Gyro, which was around $15. The gyros comes with a generous amount of fries, which were really good. The fries were pretty big in size, slightly crispy on the outside, but soft inside. The O.G. Gyro was extremely delicious - the meat was flavorful, and I thought the amount of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and their signature tzatziki sauce they put in the gyro complimented the savory meat really well. They make their lepinja bread in-house, which was good as well. I would recommend getting the O.G. Gyro! The vibe of the restaurant was really cool. It had a pretty modern feel to it. There was a bar in the middle of the restaurants, with tables to sit around it. The service was very quick, and our waiter was super nice! I do wish they would hand out physical copies of menus, but it was fine to scan the QR code to get access to the online menu. Their online menu was really helpful - really detailed, and gave you a nice photo of each dish. There is street parking! read more

Finally made it back to Zivio recently to have lunch with a friend. It was a sunny summer day, so we sat outside on their "patio" - outdoor seating on the sidewalk/street. We ordered some things to share: the fattoush salad, vegetarian plate, za'atar honey Brussels sprouts, and a side of fries. The fattoush salad was very good and a huge portion. I appreciated the generous amount of goat cheese! Everything seemed really fresh. The vegetarian plate was decent - I really liked the grilled zucchini. The falafel were really small and hard, not the best but I'm not a huge falafel eater. The fries were crispy and hot. I also really liked the Brussels sprouts - they were crisp tender and the seasonings were tasty and unique. Service was great, with waters refilled several times and people checking in with us throughout. It was super sunny the whole time, so bring some sunscreen. I liked the fattoush salad the best, and it's a lighter option amongst the heavier entrees and huge gyros, which is what I've ordered in the past. I often forget about this spot, but I'm looking forward to coming back and ordering the salad again. read more

I'm a long-time foodie and have developed a foolproof way to evaluate a great meal. If I can conjure up the taste in my head weeks or even years later, I know that I had a spectacular meal. (I am still enjoying the Wild Boar with Morel Raspberry Glaze I had at Hermann's in Cadillac 30 years ago!) Last night at Zivio, I had the Mediterranean Chicken Kabob and wow! One of the best places for lunch or dinner! Me and my husband has a date in this place. We ordered feta fried mashroom and chicken shawarma! Both were so good and delicious. The feta mashroom was crunchy and came with yogurt sauce which was an awesome addition. The shawarma comes with nan bread , Rice, zucchini and sauce along with chicken. I replaced the zucchini with fries. The chicken is made of boneless skinless thighs. Very juicy, tender and full of good flavors! It is a winner dish. Prices were good compared to the quality. I just wished if the chicken portion was a little bigger. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The cleanness level was good too! I will come here again for sure! read more

Really good food. They have gluten free pita bread so I could have gyro. We didn't even wait long in a Saturday night around 6pm. Walked in and got a table. It was a mixed crowd of young and old and the noise level was perfect. Plenty of space around the tables. The Chicken was very good. The whipped feta was soooo creamy. They bring out a lot of veggies and pitta bread and French bread... and not enough of the whipped feta. Should be a bigger bowl. My friend loved her fried shrooms stuffed with feta..: I will just believe her in that one! We all got a sandwhich of some sort that I forgot to take pictures of because we were so hungry. The house salad dressing was a taziki sauce that was really good and creamy. I definitely want to come back and try some of the other food items. read more

My friend and I came into Zivio tonight for dinner and drinks and had a wonderful time! We ordered the feta dip to start and a couple glasses of wine. I had the beef stroganoff and my friend had the veggie platter. Everything was amazing and the prices were great for the quality! Taylor was our server and she was awesome. Our first experience at Živio was outstanding! My husband and I were dining with our 7-year olds and we all loved it! Our drinks came fast. Our server was nice and attentive. I LOVED the mix of music: The Smiths, Mazzy Star, Tears for Fears, and more. We had Cokes (a little too lite on the syrup but carbonated, at least) and the kids had Sprites, which they drank without complaints. We shared a starter and three entrees. The Can't Stop, Won't Stop Fries were delicious. We all tried them and the kids devoured the rest. The Three Cheese Gyro was huge, and my husband, son and I shared half. We took half home because with everything we ordered, it was just a little too heavy. (If it were a standalone entree my husband or I had ordered, we'd have been able to eat it all. It was delicious, but honestly not more memorable than most good gyros we've had. The Ćevapi was delicious. If you've never had ćevapi or had it a hundred times, it's worth ordering here. Love that it comes with ajvar because we never know from one city we live in to the next if we'll have to ask for it. It also had kajmak, cucumbers with tomatoes, red and white onion slices. Along with the toasted lepinja, it was a perfect platter! The highlight of this meal for my husband and I was the Naan Taco Trio! (All three were fantastic, but my favorite was the slow-roasted beef taco which reminds me of the perfect pot roast but on delicious, puffy naan with diced cucumber and sumac pickled onion.) Absolutely delicious! Everything we've tried has been awesome. Service is great, atmosphere is nice - perfect for a date night. Definitely a place to go back to multiple times because you'll want to try everything and its delicious. Reservations aren't allowed, but service is quick enough that your wait is maybe 15-25 minutes depending on part size. You can also sit at the bar if there's room available. No outdoor seating, though it looks like there's patio out back that could possibly be there's but don't plan on sitting outside. If you do have a wait, there are plenty of businesses around that you can pop in to for a drink or to shop. They have a small parking lot behind the building that's shared with other local businesses. We had no trouble finding a spot at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. Otherwise there's plenty of side streets and its in walkable location. read more

I just went here for the first time this past weekend and it was delicious! I'm mad at myself for taking so long to come here! Our server was super kind and patient with us as we had a lot of questions about the menu and she gave great recommendations! I ended up ordering the the Fiery Feta gyro and it was super tasty it came on their our in-house lepinja bread which was incredible! Never had it before but I need more of it haha but only comment is that the fiery sauce didn't have much spice or heat to it, but I'm a person who likes spice so I was just expecting a little more heat but like the meal was still very good and I will definitely be ordering it again! :) read more

The food was pretty good, but I was disappointed at the dry meat on the gyro. My coworkers and I went for "happy hour" - the drinks were very expensive and the waitress did NOT let us know that what we ordered didn't qualify for the happy hour special. (She knew we wanted happy hour deals). No rush to go back, not a good first impression. read more

Probably the best Mediterranean option in Grand Rapids, at least from what I've tried in the area. Food was excellent and super filling, I couldn't even finish my gyro. The garlic tzatziki is so rich and savory. Not too much to say other than give this place a shot, you'll be glad you did! With how bad inflation has been this place certainly has better prices compared to nearby restaurants. Highly recommend this place for a casual dining experience, or a place to catch up with family or friends since the noise level is pretty low to moderate. Quite delicious! Had one of the Gyros, specialty fries, and feta dip. The dip was a pretty solid appetizer, nothing special, while the gyro was very good. It gets a little oily when all the flavors start to mix up after a bit, but it's still enjoyable. Their own bread is what really sets it apart. The fries were a bit disappointing -- they load them up with stuff, but it never quite melds together. Can only speak to the outdoors ambience, which was a perfect fall afternoon, but it looked nice and clean on the inside. Service was speedy and attentive. I'll continue to say the place needs a facelift on the inside, the lighting, the tables the chairs the layout are all uninviting, so I'll be happily surprised the day I walk in and those things are changed. The food is good, nice size portion with the gyro, the fries that come with it are on the skimpy side. I've had the Mediterranean nachos and they're delicious, the fatouch is okay Also the whipped feta is amazing Prices are reasonable to slightly high but it seems you'll pay $50+ for a meal for two regardless of where you go now. Just moved and was told this place has fantastic food. Our meal was good and I would definitely do carry out here in the future, but the service was not a great experience. For starters the waitress was sick and should have stayed home tbh. We sat down during lunch time and it wasn't fairly busy but it took 10 minutes for us to get our drinks -- the waitress spilt my sisters drink and didn't offer to clean it up or gave us any extra napkins ?? When taking our order she crouched down at the table -- which is fine -- but she then proceeded to cough in our direction when crouching towards us. Food came out at a decent time. While we paid our bills not even 5 minutes later she came back and started bussing our table and glaring at the receipts to see what kind of tip we gave her. This made us extremely uncomfortable considering she circled the recommended tip amount. I get that we all have our days, but pushing us out the door when you aren't busy because you don't want to be bothered serving tables is a big red flag. Please do better and if you are sick, please stay home. read more

This might be one of my new GR faves, the Peach Pama Spritz was light and refreshing like a spring breeze or a morning dew on the first day of summer. The bread that came with the whipped feta rocked my socks off, and the dip itself was just delightful. That alone was enough food for a light lunch, but alas we also got gyros. Super tasty and vegetarian friendly joint. Looking forward to the leftovers! Also we sat outside and lucked out with the most perfect weather to top off this big yum experience. As a recommendation from a friend we went in here for a drink and app. We were pleasantly surprised with the food, drink, and staff! Only thing we couldn't understand was why the place was so empty!? The Fade to Pink drink came with an infused gin on the top purple layer. I didn't want to mix the drink because it was so pretty but had to and glad I got that gin flavoring mixed in! The feta mushrooms were so good we almost ordered a 2nd batch! They came out piping hot, light breading with mushrooms and a spinach feta sauce inside each. What a great pairing of flavors! The flatbread was something I had never had. The meat was a Bosnian smoked sausage which had such a great flavor. It was strong and smoky, juicy, garlic, mixed with the other ingredients on the flatbread and topped with a fried egg. So good! We hadn't tried something like it before! The place was sophisticated and fresh. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to go to Wealthy Street for a nice meal with a cuisine we don't have much of around the area! read more

I do t recall how I came across Živio, but I'm so glad I did! I really feel like there is a lack of genuine Greek food in Grand Rapids - or I just can't seem to find it. But Živio filled the void I've had for so long. We went for the first time very recently and we're highly impressed. What we ordered: Hummus Trio, Chicken Kebab, Chicken Shawarma, and Nutella Crepe. We loved all of it! I also loved their tzatziki sauce and their freshly made pita. And that crepe was one of the best I've ever had! My husband also had their Old Fashioned and I had the Sangria - which the popsicle IN the sangria with fruit and made from the sangria was perfect for a hot summer day! Nice, trendy spot. Good service and tasty food. I had a dirty gin martini with extra olives and my friend had the $10 rum punch special. Both were refreshing during a hot day. We opted to sit inside because of the humidity and felt comfortable. We started with the whipped feta dip that came bubbly to our table with two different breads and assorted veggies for dipping. For our main, we both ordered the fattoush salad. I had a side of shrimp with it and she had the chicken. It was nice and refreshing. I could not finish all of the salad and was able to take it home because of the large portion size. I also ordered a to go gyro for my hubby. Our waitress recommended The Big Red and it was delicious. I'm a huge fan of Bosna express and think their gyros are the absolute best, but this one was also good. Their fries are identical. I love gyros! We ordered the Can't Stop Won't Stop fries, the Whipped Feta Dip and the O.G. gyro. Everything was excellent! The bread for their gyro is unlike other bread you normally see with gyros but it works so well! The fries are covered in deliciousness (feta cheese and gyro meat), and that whipped feta dip was OMG-divine. The service was incredibly slow, but it seemed that they were short staffed. It got very busy at we arrived and there were only 3 servers in the whole place, ours also working as bartender. One problem that I did see was that there was no Hostess, and when people came in the door they stood at the hostess stand for quite a long time before being acknowledged. The also have a full bar, but an extremely small selection of draft beer (like maybe 5 taps) which is disappointing. read more

Zivio has European cuisine with a fun modern vibe. I got there for happy hour and got right in! They only have drink specials for happy hour but it is still worth a visit. The whipped spinach feta dip is a must and easy to share. It loved the bread it came with, but the cucumbers had a funky taste to them but the dip was amazing!!! The red pepper shrimp was good too, but not my favorite shrimp.
