Black Milk Tea and Strawberry Flavored Milk Tea

I love getting boba here when I'm in town. The price is amazing and affordable, especially for a large size! They have many flavors to choose from and they're all really great. Their wait time after ordering is usually quick, so you can immediately enjoy your beverage. If you are a student who lives on the campus, this is the place to get your boba instead of the other place called Tea Time. My friend and I like sitting inside and people watch. It's often busy but people leave quickly as they have places to go. This place is good, however, 8 degrees boba ones-up 1+1.

We found this place by taking a wrong turn and it was the best mistake of our whole trip. What a find! My girls love bubble tea and it isn't always easy to find so we decided to go in for drinks and a snack. We all got bubble teas and a variety of apps and food to share. We were blown away by the food. Beyond beyond what we were expecting. The wings looked Spicy but were sweet and sticky and savory with some kind of crunch garlic on top for bursts of flavor and texture. My 9 year old who is the pickiest eater ever demolished them. The Taiwan popcorn chicken was another head trip. It was crunchy but not in the way it looked. Somehow crunch and soft at the same time. And it had no sauce but somehow it had amazing flavors of lemongrass and ginger. Have you ever had fried chicken that is refreshing? It was a mind trip. The experience was great. The counter guy was helpful and everything was made fresh on the spot. My daughters have already asked if we can go back again before we leave town.

Malaysian Style Stir Fried Rice Noodle with Curry Flavor

I absolutely love this place! I not only go for the delicious food and tea, but I love seeing the owner, Fanny as well. She greets her customers like she's known them forever and makes you feel so welcomed. The Malaysian stir-fried noodles is my favorite dish to get here. It's flavored with yellow curry and has fatty pork, juicy shrimp, onions, and gets a nice crunch from the bean sprouts and yellow onions. It truly resembles Vietnamese banh xeo which is a take on a savory crepe. I love this dish so much and would recommend it to everyone to try! The braised beef noodle soup is a great comfort food on a cold day. With tender beef that falls off the bone, chewy egg noodles, and a strong beef broth... you can't go wrong. Not pictured, but I usually get either popcorn chicken or crab rangoons with my tea as a snack and they are both so addictive! The crab rangoons are so packed with filing and the popcorn chicken is a great salty pairing for the sweet teas! I would recommend trying any milk tea, especially the signature, oolong, and hazelnut. I would also recommend trying their cheesecake tea creation! It taste like an actual strawberry cheesecake. But for those timid to try tea, their smoothies are also great and tastes like there could be ice cream inside.

It's one of the prettiest little places in town. It's definitely "aesthetic", for those who are into that. The teas are lovely, but the food is a bit muted to appease the mostly white clientele.

The boba is excellent! Recommend taro! And the restaurant food is so good! Such a cute shop and the staff is super friendly!

Taro smoothie boba. Sweet and sour chicken. Cumin pork.

My taro smoothie boba tea was so good - dairy free no caffeine. The sweet and sour chicken was delicious and they give lots of rice. It's small but we managed to do a casual date night there at one of the two tables. We picked this restaurant randomly and it didn't disappoint!

I come here every birthday with a large gaggle of my friends - the owner is the sweetest person I have ever had the chance of making the acquaintance of. She tries new flavors & treats everyone with such sincerity. Her staff is amazing & the boba is the best around - this coming from a boba snob who's been around & will travel from bondurant to ames just to be in her presence & leave with 2. They also have an amazing rewards program & i promise you they have something for everyone!!

The boba tea is the best in town and Fannie is an amazing person to talk to. I suggest the wintermelon and a thai milk tea.

4/16/26 6:00 p.m…read more Online Order for Pick Up Food: Everything was absolutely delicious! We ordered orange chicken, sesame chicken, chicken with green beans, 8pc crab rangoon, 4pc teriyaki chicken, bar-b-q spare ribs, chicken lo mein, and a side of sweet and sour sauce. For starters, the teriyaki chicken is my new favorite lol. It's not dry or overcooked and it's cooked thoroughly. The bar-b-q spare ribs are super tender and smothered in sauce; so good! We were pleasantly surprised with the orange chicken as well. It's not overly in your face orange flavored nor is it too sweet. The sesame chicken is also really well flavored. The noodles in the lo mein were firm and soft at the same time with great flavor. The chicken in it was tender and thankfully, the noodles weren't overloaded with veggies. Honestly, I'm not big on crab rangoon, but these are good! They're filled to the brim and really creamy. Chicken with green beans exceeded my expectations and it will definitely be on my "always order" list lol. Portion sizes were more than I expected as well. They really pack the to-go containers and the meat itself is good, large chunks. I can't wait to try more of the menu! Service: We were promptly greeted when we walked in and the wait time was minimal. The staff was pleasant and greeted us with a smile as well. While ordering online, it was a bit of a pain and it tells you to add a tip before checkout, which was almost not an option to opt out if you wanted to. Our order was correct and done quickly, even though they were busy. Ambiance: It's not the biggest inside, but that didn't stop others from dining in. It was packed for dinner rush and smelled amazing. Overall, it was kept clean, no debris or old food on the floor or tables. The menu is large and easy to navigate. While it was full, it wasn't uncomfortable; not elbow to elbow.

We have never had a bad dinner here the takeout was always correct and the food was deliciousread more

This would have been the first half of the 1980s. Since then, the restaurant is under new management. It also was moved from the original North Grand mall location to the light warehouse district on Lincoln Way east of Duff Ave. My father, my son and I had dinner at the Lincoln Way location at the end of April 2026. We were the only customers dining in. Two of the dishes we ordered (shrimp in black bean sauce and General Tso's chicken) tasted very familiar...i recognized them as Mr. Chen's recipes. While we were there, there was was a nearly constant stream of people coming in to collect takeout orders. So...the current management are obviously pursuing a different business model, which is fine. But I felt a little bummed by the shabby physical space and industrial location. I missed the vigorous energy that Mr. and Mrs. Chen imparted when they were running the place.
