This is our third time using this service. We had such a positive experience with Jacey, Tyron and Kohya! What we thought would be a big job turned out to be even bigger--2.5 truck loads worth of heavy, bulky yard and workshop equipment, including old building materials (wood, concrete, rusty tools) tucked away in a crawl space. They handled it all without hesitation and a positive attitude. Throughout the job, they were friendly, professional, and worked hard and efficiently. Our items were tightly accumulated in an outdoor home storage area over decades and we were discovering items we hadn't seen in ages. They were attentive as they worked and frequently asked for clarification about what to keep and what to trash as the space was cleared. They also swept up and cleaned up our property after everything was removed. They came out 2 times for an estate cleanout of my parents' house and they were amazing. I loved that they didn't require us to schedule everything to get done in 1 swoop unlike some other businesses. The prices were fair and the employees we interacted with from scheduling to removing the junk were all very nice. I appreciated how they didn't show judgment as to the state of the house and how on the second day when everything remaining was to be tossed, they were there from morning to night getting it all done. Wish I could give zero stars. I think this is a borderline scam. It will not work for me to make a tentative appoint a week in advance and not get a quote till the minute that I need it. I am sure their business model relies on people being unwilling to cancel on the spot when the price may be too high but they need the service. Jc and Nui have made our furniture removal so fast, easy, carefree and took the time to make sure nothing was damaged. They have such great personalities and even though we're going through a hard time with moving, they made us feel so comfortable. They were fast, efficient and made everything fit like Tetris. Jake and Tyron were awesome! We had several piles of random rock/concrete/junk in the backyard from the previous owners that they hauled away (without a wheelbarrow...) in the hot sun for two hours. They even used a shovel to dig out the small rocks and debris under the rock piles and swept up the rocks and dust on the sidewalks when they were done. I was worried about the price since it was not listed on the website, but it ended up being very reasonable compared to the other haul away container quotes, especially considering I did not have to do the hard labor. We called for an estimate on a Monday morning thinking of having a pick-up on a Tuesday. I got call back within minutes. While talking to the dispatch/back office I inquired on the possibility of scheduling for the same day afternoon. It was 11:45. They were able to fit us in for a 12-2pm window. Before 12pm I got a friendly call from Austin saying they were downtown and would be at our place in 20-25 minutes. When my father-in-law passed, we were left with of a hoard of construction materials (decaying lumber, metal pipes and screens), old tools, jars of various nails and screws, heavily rusted shelving, large heavy metal desk, a cut tree trunk, file safe, etc. The house was going up for sale in about a month, and we couldn't take photos for the listing until they lot was cleared, so I called 1-800-GOT-JUNK. I checked out some of the other junk removal companies listed here on yelp* but kept coming back to 1-800-GOT-JUNK. When I called for an estimate, they were quick to respond and scheduled a date and time that was convenient for me. Kona(?) came over at the agreed time, greeted me with a smile, and began taking photos as I gave him a tour of what needed to be removed. His visit was no more than 15 minutes and he was able to give me an estimated quote and explain how their pricing worked. In fact, he was ready to begin loading it right then and there if I wanted, but we were still working on trying to donate some of the items, so I told him I would call them back. Almost 2 weeks later, and with all of the items that we could donate now gone, I chose to relocate all of the items that needed to be removed up towards a designated area at the front of the house. While 1-800-GOT-JUNK was fine picking up the items from where they lay around the house, and I didn't save any money by assembling all the items in one spot, it helped me make sure I wasn't missing anything in the process. Once I made sure the "pile" was complete, I made the call to 1-800-GOT-JUNK and set the date. Communication prior to the actual date and time was excellent, and the truck and 2-man crew arrived on-time. We did another walkaround to make sure what was going on the truck and what was staying, and then they got to work. About an hour into the job, a second truck showed up with another team member that gave them a hand. All-in-all they took just under 2 hours from arrival to departure. The final amount was in keeping with the earlier estimate, so no surprises there. They accept cash or credit card. I paid via card, which they processed onsite using the Square app. You have the option to add a tip if you want. I got an immediate receipt via email and then got a formal invoice the following day.
