This place very much took advantage of a 77 year old widow, charging her over $1200 after telling her on the phone the most it would cost would have been $550. My mother had a number of contractor bags and some boxes and old paint cans, and these guys charged her over $700 for the first visit, and then over $500 for a second visit, despite my mother calling and explaining how much there was. I moved three weeks before in North Jersey and had an equivalent amount that was picked up by a smaller, locally owned company. The cost:: $225. Bottom line- these guys saw a vulnerable woman who needed stuff removed, and they took full advantage, not once, but twice. $1200? What garbage would cost $1200 to remove? Skip this company and hire a small, local junk hauler with more favorable reviews. read more

I was always told to start positively by my parents.... So the company was very prompt and reliable. They had good customer service skills and seemed very attentive to me. They showed up on time and gave me a quote for the job. Thank God they did. After reviewing the debris in needed hauled to the dump, the offered a quote of $750 for only half on my debris. Half! All I had was some pressure treated wood ( about 20 boards). I quickly found a local company that hauled all away for less than $300. It's ridiculous to even consider this company. I had a nice experience, sofa, love seat, wicker chairs to rid myself. Two polite guys arrived on time, masked, same day call and ready to deal. I refused the initial the original estimate offer, negociated terms and took care of business. I think it helped to be ready upon arrival with my pick up, because they arent cheap. read more

Called for trash hauling. 600 sq ft of old carpet and padding and 3 bags of sheet rock and insulation. Came with 4 men and wanted $1700 . No way. I called Blue Hen and got a recommedation to Ken Steele. $75. SAME TRASH SAME DAY not a typo. $75. Never ever gonna use Got Junk. Ever ever again. read more

This review is for the Berlin Md location which is not listed on Yelp. The arrangements I had made with a local charity to donate our unwanted furniture fell thru at the last minute. The charity was going to take everything but the mattress & box spring (understandable). The house was sold and had to be cleared out, I live 4 hours away. I loaded everything we were keeping and all but the Mattress, box spring and a sofa in my small trailer & truck. I called got junk to take the bedding and sofa. They were on time and gave a courtesy call ahead of time. after looking at what I had and at his chart they said it would take up a third of the truck and cost $326! I know at that point I could refuse but I had to have it out that day and could not count on finding a local trash removal company. In my opinion there is no way that furniture would take up a third of the truck unless they laid everything flat. I figured it would be about 150 - 200.  Later that day they sent me an email for a review. I of course stated my dissatisfaction. They were prompt in sending the following response:   "Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent appointment with us. We're sorry to hear that our service did not meet your expectations.  We are in the process of reviewing this with the local franchise management and someone will be reaching out to you shortly."  It has been 3 weeks and I have heard nothing.
