TLDR: they gave me a lottery ticket designed to trick you into thinking you've won a lot when in…read morereality you've won nothing. Received a massive ad flier in the mail that served as a "scratch off lottery ticket" for an event they were putting on. This ticket was probably 13"x17" and covered with all sort of different advertisements designed to be as distracting and nonsensical as possible. Scratched it and it said I "won $2,500 instant cash". Obviously I was skeptical of this so I looked all over for fine print and in the fine print it said "no purchase necessary, match your winning number and claim your prize". Still skeptical I called the dealership to confirm this was legitimate and was responded with "yes this is legit, just come down with the flier and you'll get your prize." So I drove an hour to their dealership, sat down with one of their salesmen, filled out some paperwork and suddenly he walks out with a board that's got different numbers than what's on my scratch off. Finds a random, different small print section that wasn't on the "scratch off" part and says "this is my 'real' winning number" and matches it to his board. With the "real" winning number the most I would walk out with is a $5 chick fila gift card. It cost me more in gas to get to the dealership than the card was worth. After being Obviously upset, an "event specialist" walks over and attempts to explain how it works trying to read the fine print to me as if I didn't already do that myself. She kept saying that it's a "marketing strategy" and when I said it's not marketing it's called deceit she got mad and walked off. In what world is the number you literally scratch off on a lottery ticket not your winning number and how am I expected to know there's this magical second smaller number hidden on the page. Had they explained that when I CALLED TO CONFIRM I would have no issues but they clearly don't care. If a business has to lie just to get you in the door imagine what they're doing to get you to buy something. I would highly recommend not doing business with folks who show such little concern for honestly especially when conducting business in the 10s of thousands dollars.

The call me on the 11th of November to tell me the transmission was shot with only 2800 miles. On November the 20th after having my car for ten days they email me to inform me that they finally ordered my parts and it was going to cost me $129.00. Even though it is still under warranty! Do not buy from Lumberton Nissan!
