Bought as a groupon and scheduled told the person on the phone that it was construction waste and there might be more then 4 yards. He said no problem they would take the extra at a discounted fee. When they guys showed up they were shaking there heads and said there's snow on the waste and they don't normally take this kind of stuff. After making a call to the office (I assume) they said there was 6 yards of trash and it would be $175 to take the extra 2 yards, I said that was to high and to just take the 4 yards I paid for already. They each made about 3 trip from the trash pile to the truck (stopping multiple time to check their phones) carrying 3 to 4 pieces of wood (broken up cabinets) after loading approx. 1.5 yards they said they were done. When I said they hadn't taken 4 yards they said they had, I pointed out that if there was 6 yards and they had taken 4 more then half the pile would be gone and more then half was still there. They said that they took 4 yards and they left. The whole time there they acted like I was putting them out and they didn't want to be there. I called and was told the supervisor would call me back on Mon. after not hearing from him by 3pm I called him and he told me he hadn't had time to talk with the guys and get their story and would call back on Tue. he didn't. I texted him he said he was out of the office and someone else would call me, it's now Wed. night and I haven't heard from anyone. I called to have a early 1900s upright piano removed. They had availability the day I called and arrived on time. They were very professional, introduced themselves and the prices were reasonable. They are in my favorites list. The company is great and the crew was excellent. I am sure I will be using them again! read more

We are getting ready to sell our home in Ypsilanti, MI and we needed help getting all the last junky things in the house taken away. Sam was very easy to work with. He met with my contractor, gave me a quote, and arrived on time to clear everything away. After going through an estate sale and spending a week cleaning out my father's house, I found that I still had a lot of items left over. I called 1-888-Trash-It and spoke to Sam. He told me how they work, what to expect and an approximation of what the cost would be. I hired them and was glad I did. Matt and Bill were the 2 people who showed up. They called me before they arrived and let me know when they were coming. They also did something out of the ordinary. Their previous job took longer than expected and they called me again to let me know they would be about 1 hour late. Not many companies do that. When they arrived, they took a look around and told me there's no way all the stuff would fit in one truckload. He said there would be an extra charge for whatever didn't fit on day one. At first I was a little unhappy but as they loaded the truck, I saw that my dad still had a ton of stuff and they were correct. It would not all fit. I agreed to pay for whatever had to be hauled the next day. On the first day, they worked for about 2.5 hours and completely loaded the 20 yd truck. It was amazing how much they got done in that amount of time. It was about 7 PM when they finished and they would have stayed longer but the local dump was closed so they needed to go there the next day. The next day, they had a minor issue at the dump and again called to say they would be one hour late. I had some local guys picking through what was left at my house and Bill and Matt worked around the guys and were a pleasure to work with. Another 1.25 hours and my father's house was empty. They even helped sweep up afterwards. The service was great, they listened to everything I said and did exactly what I asked. I had contacted another junk hauler and based on the size of the truck and the work done, Trash-It was at least 40% cheaper, maybe more. My only regret is that I didn't hire them sooner.
