I shopped around and got other quotes, they gave me the best price, and couldn't get better with others even after sharing their quote. Sales person came out for review to make an assessment on what would be involved. In the conversation they offered to clean the roof, I told them there's a lot of moss up there and they said they could easily do that. Oh they cleaned something, just not the whole roof. They got the entire north side of my house covered in caked on globs of dirt. This included everything around there like my A/C exterior fan unit, my trash bins, my shed, my storage lockers and my deck boxes. They left a hose, my hose, on the roof and running all night long until my wife spotted it the next morning. My front hose was also used, I know this because instant of rolling it back up using the roll they just left it all piled up at the corner of my house. Now told them about this, and the person who responds just always says they'll get in touch with their "experts" and let me know. Eventually they came back to finish cleaning the roof and clean up the mess on the side of the house. They came and went then I got home and checked, looked like they took about two seconds to clean some of the side but ran off to their next project. It was in no way clean or even in the condition it was in prior to their work. As for the roof being cleaned and moss control applied, I can't get all the way up on the 2nd floor roof to know but my HVAC company came out to do some other work related to "Smokey cedar smell in air ducts, & they climbed up to the 2x!: floor and took photos. There was no moss control applied on the 2nd floor roof and miss was growing everywhere on the west back side, yes this was the very next day after M&H came. Cleaning and moss control were services we agreed M&H would do.m, but they clearly didn't yet still charged me for it. Oh and that donkey cedar smell? Sawdust in the HVAC exhaust line from roof & vent repairs. So basically the roofing company offered a series of services they never fully executed. I had to hire a different company to complete the gutter work and re-clean the lower & upper roofs and apply moss control up on the 2nd roof. Then I had to clean out my HVAC vents, and I had to wash and scrub the exterior of my house. How are they still in business is beyond me.

What was different? The quote had attention to every detail and included higher quality materials, better design and superior workmanship. Also the quality of the service was exceptional- communication with the team and among the team was flawless. Our roof was mainly asphalt with a PVC section and needed plywood to be added on top of the old ship lap. It also needed venting - which can be tricky- especially providing intakes on a 1940s house. All this was included in the quote. They had no problem adding 2 skylights with no upcharge-save the cost of the skylights themselves. The team is up to date and educated on the latest advances and details of techniques. I am so thankful to have found Three Tree. I have worked with contractors extensively on two old properties over 20 years, and Three Tree was probably the best. Prior to hiring them I talked with my former roofer - who now only does very high end work(John Michael Roofing). He has seen many roofs and said Three Tree does good quality work. He also advised me to beware in hiring a roofer as there are many pitfalls. With that advice I proceeded with more caution than I would have otherwise!

We were able to schedule our roof replacement when we wanted to get it done and the job was completed in just two days. We were impressed that it was such a quick and smooth process. After our roof was done, our gutters just took one day to replace.. so in total, it only took 3 days to get a brand new roof and gutters! Also, throughout the entire process, Elijah (the project manager?) kept us updated on how things were going and was also easily reachable for any questions we had. We appreciated the good communication! My only minor "complaint" would be that the cleanup after the job being done wasn't 100%. There were a few scraps and caution tape leftover from the roof job, and then a large ladder was left from the gutter job. However, and more importantly, it was still a job very well done and we are happy with how things turned out. I would recommend NearMe if you are looking to get a roof or gutter replacement!

When I finally dig an inspector out, he said there was no issue whatsoever and that I was fine to just clean up some minor water spots on an interior window and do a better job caulking. I finally went for a second opinion, and not only did they find the nails were not galvanized and installed on top of the roof instead of on the side, water had leaked in quite drastically leading to a $3000 repair. This other company literally walked on top of my roof and with her bare hands, picked up the entire tack strip that is supposed to keep things glued down. She couldn't believe the nails that were used and the placement but more so, that this was said to be 'no issue' by a professional. Your guy that came out to investigate literally never even put his hand on it to wiggle it around and see if there was an issue, he just looked - no ladder, just climbed part of my balcony and looked. If I had listened to him and just caulked the interior window so that more water wouldn't have come through, this would've continued and become an absolutely horrific problem. I know customer service agents aren't always a reflection of the company but this gentleman was a 'master installer' his words. I'm not sure what there is more to say, but as a business owner you may want to know. As an aside, I do appreciate that even months later, someone responded to this. I do hope things work out as your company continues to change.

On top of that, the contract copy arrived 5 days late after a $2,000 deposit, the office initially had no record of our project, the written contract didn't match what we were told, and the job required three visits -- which altogether felt very unprofessional for a $6,000 repair. - We recently hired Guardian Roofing to repair a roof leak above our dining room. The inspection took place the week before Thanksgiving, and the repair itself was carried out on Thanksgiving Day. We genuinely appreciated that the crew was willing to work over a holiday. However, the weeks that followed involved multiple return visits and repeated attempts on our part to resolve concerns privately. Because these issues remained unresolved for nearly a month, we felt it was important to share our experience for future customers. Because water was actively leaking into our home, we moved forward quickly after the salesperson explained that the job would include replacing the roof plywood and installing a gutter downspout extension. We paid a $2,000 deposit that same day. Although the contract was signed electronically, we did not receive a copy for five days, despite being told it would be sent immediately. During that time, the salesperson became unresponsive -- and when we contacted the company office to follow up, they initially had no record that we had signed a contract or paid a deposit. That was extremely concerning given the urgency of the situation. After the repair was completed, we finally received the written contract -- and only then realized that it did not match what we had been told. The gutter extension was not included in the document, and the plywood had only been partially replaced, even though we had understood the replacement would cover the full section. When we raised these discrepancies, we were told that the company had simply followed the wording of the contract. Only after further discussion, including acknowledgment of what the original salesperson had described, did the company agree to install the gutter extension at no additional cost. Still, for a $6,000 repair, the overall process felt disorganized and unclear. The job ultimately required three visits: the initial torch-down installation, a later trip to add the omitted gutter extension, and then another visit to secure that extension after it was installed too loosely. Even after all of this, our original concerns about finishing quality and water pooling were never addressed. These concerns were not just about appearance. This section of the roof is clearly visible from our upstairs rooms and yard, and even neighbors who can see it commented that the work looked surprisingly rough for a professional installation. The seams and vent patches were left with heavy, uneven adhesive buildup, and in several areas rainwater now collects instead of draining properly. When we raised these issues, we were told that the work met company standards and, in their words, "we are not decorators." The conversation repeatedly shifted toward explaining the nature of torch-down roofing -- as if the outcome were simply inherent to the system -- rather than addressing the quality of the execution itself. What made the experience particularly difficult was feeling that our urgency and lack of technical knowledge were not met with clear guidance and follow-through, but instead left us to discover contractual and workmanship issues only after the fact. In the end, the combination of delayed documentation, unclear expectations, inconsistent internal awareness of our project, multiple return visits, and workmanship that appeared unfinished left us disappointed and concerned as customers. We hope this review helps other homeowners make informed decisions and encourages greater clarity, accountability, and care in both communication and work quality going forward.

He suggested steps I could take last night, and said he would come first thing in the morning today. True to his word, he came over this morning and inspected inside and outside of the house, and offered several options for fixes, ranging from an emergency fix of the immediate problem to a full replacement of our 20 year old roof. He is very knowledgeable and explained the difference between all of the options and warranties, so I felt comfortable making a decision to do an emergency fix with a vent replacement, knowing that we need to follow up with additional work soon. Tommy scheduled the vent replacement within hours, and by early afternoon, the job was completed and the leak was repaired! And I received good information and lots of photos of the repair as well as images of issues in other areas of the roof. In all of this, we had to work around my unexpectedly having to take my Dad to the ER and then driving back and forth between the hospital and the house. Throughout the day, Tommy could not have been a more kind and compassionate human being, with a rare generosity of spirit and care.
