Where do I start- I didn't expect such a beautiful experience from a 1 Hour Marriage chapel (nothing to do with the chapel business it just seemed like a quick come and go vibe but it was nothing like that)! Yenmin was absolutely AMAZING! I did not expect to cry at all and the tears were FLOWINGGGGGG. She gave an option to do the ceremony in Spanish for my family and we did not expect that. Very professional and accommodating staff! The second Yenmin began to give the ceremony, I felt as if me and my husband were alone in the room getting ready to step into the next phase of our life. This experience was everything I could have imagined. Thank you so much!!!! read more

My review is extremely super late! Like 5-6 years late. But I wanted a fast almost like "Vegas wedding chapel" style. I came across this place! Highly recommended! Very professional and fast! We wanted our wedding to be on our anniversary (Veterans day). They can come to you, or you can go to them. Now, we got married during the pandemic so it was very limited to what they can actually offer at their location. We brought in tripods to set up our phones to do a virtual wedding. I had Facebook live and my husband had zoom on his. This allowed all of our friends and family to attend from near and far. We got there at 1030am to set up and sign the documents. Then the ceremony started at 11am and finished at 11:11am! It did not take us 1 hour to get married, took us longer to set up than it did for the whole process lol. The BEST part is they do EVERYTHING that deals with paperwork for you! During covid, that meant everything because I didnt have to worry about going to file at the county, or deal with people. I know my sister-in-law got married at the same place and so did another colleague from work after we did. read more

Linda Young is a such an amazing woman she rendered these services so beautifully and passionately. I'm so lucky to have the honor of her marrying me and my husband on March 15 on a beautiful Sunday morning. When we walked in and she welcomed us the way she did I knew immediately I was going to love every second of this and sure enough I sure did. Immediately after deciding to get married, we realized we had completely different visions of our dream wedding--I wanted to elope, and my groom wanted a big celebration with all our friends and family. Thanks to 1hourmarriage, we were able to have the best of both worlds. For an amazing price, we had a tiny, intimate ceremony that felt deeply personal--nothing like the impersonal courthouse experience we were trying to avoid. It was just our parents, our three boys, our Cupid, and our childhood photographer friend. We chose to kick off our wedding week with this midweek ceremony in Spanish, since our larger spiritual/social wedding with 140 of our closest friends would be primarily in English. Everything about the ceremony was perfect. Our parents had the chance to say a few words, share blessings, and congratulate us before we exchanged rings--a beautiful touch that isn't often part of traditional ceremonies. The signing of the paperwork was smooth and stress-free, and our notary brought so much warmth and personality to the day. We didn't even realize, until she began officiating, how much she had learned about us in such a short time--she truly made the ceremony feel like us. Our hearts were so full. Even though we still have a big celebration to look forward to, I can confidently say that if this intimate ceremony at 1hourmarriage had been the only wedding we planned, it would have far exceeded both our expectations--and our families'. What an amazing experience!! Obviously first time so things didnt go as planned. I booked the appointment with the county for the marriage license but not the ceremony (oops). So I was told to make a separate appointment to come back next week. We were already all dressed up with flowers in hand, thats not an option. So I called Candice and she took care of things quickly and cordially. It took less than 30mins and we took a bunch of super nice pictures that we wouldn't have at the county. FYI, Candice can also take care of the marriage license so you can skip the line at the county. read more

If you're looking for a quick and easy way to tie the knot without driving all the way to Vegas, this is it haha. I was referred to 1 Hour Marriage by a coworker who used their services and said he had a great experience. My now wife and I scheduled an appointment online for the date we wanted. The date we picked originally had no other appointments but when we arrived there were 2 other couples and their families there at the same time. The waiting room was very small and didn't really accommodate our small party of 6. After the other ceremony was completed we basically rotated rooms. The room where the ceremony took place was much larger and accommodating. Ms. Linda Young was the ordained minister that helped us out. She was very polite and quite funny. She completed all of the paperwork very quickly and thoroughly. She conducted a beautiful ceremony my wife was very happy with. Highly recommend this place if quick, easy and inexpensive is what you're looking for. read more

The official date of your wedding is the day you say “I do” in front of an authorized officiant or minister and have the paperwork signed. It is not based on the license issue date or the postmark if mailed in.

How long does it take to get the marriage certificate?

You will leave with a customer copy of your marriage certificate on the day of your ceremony. The certified copy from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk typically arrives in 6–8 weeks.

Gina will book a premarital appointment with the couple to get to know you. Then there's wedding rehearsal the day before your wedding. My finance and I wanted to cancel our wedding date. But, we were told that it is non refundable. It is not fair and it's very sneaky for a business to do things like this especially when you are coming to them from a good place. I called and asked to get my money back and they refused saying that other places do this as well, that I could use the money for something else within either services, that I had set a date with them and I can change it, or that me setting a date still counted as services. All of these I can understand, BUT it should have been mentioned prior to completing my transaction. Jose should have said that it is nonrefundable BEFORE the transaction was made like a good business would let you know. For anyone else looking into their services just know that it is NONREFUNDABLE.

Because of this, both the inside chapel and outside barn was unable to accommodate the size of our party in one ceremony. Instead, Tess and Dan worked with us and decided to offer us to have two back-to-back ceremonies! Something they had never done before! One for our friends inside, and the other for our families outside; and the turnout was absolutely AMAZING, and we could not have asked for anything more! If a Vegas style elopement or micro-wedding is what you have in mind, do not waste the opportunity on having it here at the Old Brown House.
