First and hopefully the only time I will be getting married . . . Who knew that you needed an actual ceremony to go with the paperwork? I went into the Norwalk courthouse just to file for a marriage certificate because we were going to hold off the Chinese ceremony til next year. The clerk informed me that the paperwork needed an official signature from someone ordained. Seeing as how we both took a Friday off of work for this and the next available opening was on Monday, we Googled wedding chapels in the area. Within 20 mins, we found our winner. . . .the cheapest one that could take us if we showed up at noon. Not every girls' dream wedding location, but it was exactly as how I'd imagine it would be . . . a hole-in-the-wall shop in a strip mall in El Monte overly decorated with fake flowers from the 99 Cent store. Alicia was super friendly and took care of everything. She filled out the papers, explained the process, and will drop off the papers at the courthouse for us. They even provided the witnesses. What a wonderful story to tell our children one day. . . We got hitched in El Monte and our witnesses were Conchita ( a worker there ) and Nanh ( a little Vietnamese lady from the nail shop next door ). read more

Like many other people our plan was to just go to Norwalk and get our marriage license and ceremony done all in one day. Little did I know that, that was not possible. We would have to make an appointment to come back another day just have a ceremony. Which is a waste of time! So I yelped wedding Chapels in El Monte and came upon the Madonna wedding chapel. I called and talked to Mirta. She was really nice and solved my problem by not going to Norwalk. She told me that they can do the marriage license and ceremony the same day. Yay!!! I was so happy when she told me that. Right away I made an appointment to have the ceremony at their location. My fiancé at at the time, wife now and I came in and met with Mirta. She showed us the chapel and we did the paperwork and was out of there within 20 mins. Fast and efficient is what I like. Our ceremony was beautiful and I'm glad we found them. Affordable, Quick, Friendly and Convenient My Fiance and I picked up our wedding license and wanted to get everything done the same day. Unfortunately, there were no appointments available for civil ceremonies at Norwalk courthouse, so I started looking online for wedding chapels... I found Madonna wedding chapel. It was 930am when I called. Mirta picked up and said she can do a quick and easy ceremony when they open at 10am. When we arrived Mirta was very welcoming and nice. She answered my questions and filled out the paperwork. The whole process may have taken less than 20 minutes. The location may not be every girl's ideal dream wedding location, but it definitely is a place that got the job done right. This chapel offers quick and low prices for the type of service we were looking for compare to most places that came up in our search. NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE WITHOUT CHECKING OUT OTHER PLACES. She charged me 90 dollars for a translation, when I checked other place , just around the corner from her place, the cost was 45 dollars. Her excuse was that she was an attorney and just for that reason she has to charge more. Even know that all I need was a simple translation of a Birth certificate. My advice to all of you. please check other place before coming here. Better yet.....take you business somewhere else where they charge is not sooo excessive. read more

I got married here in November of last year, so a bit of a late review, but I wanted to make sure to review because we had a great experience. Mirta Alicia was very knowledgeable and experienced about the process and handled all the paperwork with ease. The chapel itself was already well decorated and took that stress off of us. Our marriage certificate actually came sooner than anticipated as well because she hand delivered it to the court house. The ceremony itself also went super smoothly even with COVID-19 restrictions. Great place. We were trying to do the norwalk marriage without knowing it was not only paperwork, you also needed a ceremony for marriage to be valid. Unfortunately because of covid, norwalk was booked till december. We needed a certaind date, because it was also our anniversary date for October, mind you I started searching mid August. Never had been through the process we live in Pomona but were recommended to get married at the Madonna Wedding Chapel in El Monte. Mirta is the greatest. She walks you thru the process very clearly and in a way that make the big step in life much less stressful and enjoyable. The chapel is beautifully done and they for a nominal charge even provide photos of the service for you. I feel they are the best and can accommodate up to 40 guests. I had made an appointment at Norwalk court to "get married" I didn't know that you are supposed to apply for a marriage license first and then you have a ceremony. I thought everything was done the same day. I ended up getting the marriage license but the court told me they didn't have any more appointments for ceremonies, it was just to full. I was so disappointed because I originally thought everything was the same day and I had made and send dinner invitations already. I ended up doing our dinner/ party the day I got my marriage license because I had everything planned out already. The problem now was that we still needed someone to get us married. I started searching for officiants but they were all very pricey. I didn't want to spent so much since we are going to get married through church too so we were looking for an elopement type of thing and we had already spend money on the marriage license. Long story short I came across Madonna wedding chapel, i called them and the lady told me I wasn't going to find anything around my budget. I explained my situation and she basically was like "I'm sorry and good luck." (she didn't use those exact words) The next day I get a call that they are able to marry us and it was around my budget. They were able to work with me and have soo much patience. I didn't take a witness with me the day she was going to marry us, she waited for us until I asked around the shopping center to see if anyone could be our witness. The receptionist that works next door at the medical clinic was nice enough to be our witness. All in all I really appreciate and highly recommend Madonna wedding chapel. read more

My husband and I enjoyed the ceremony room, I wouldn't really call it a Chapel and don't be deceived by looking for a Chapel because the outside looks like shopping center and when you walk in its an office and the office could you a lil bit of a remodeling and cheering up maybe with a new painting and some cheerful pictures, the man that preformed our ceremony I really didn't understand him because of his accent the could use some work too. The lady was a rip off, she explained the package through the phone and to only bring $300 then we get there and charges us $360 for only the basic paper work! THEN, she tries to get my whiteness to cough it up but no she went down to $315, how? Idk. To top it off she sells "real gold rings worth $100-$200" for $30! How? Idk. To find out at a jewellery store that they're fake gold and illegal because they're not even stamped!! Smh I'm disappointed. read more

Got hitched April 15 and it turned out just great. Alicia performed the nuptials on my new wife and I. Paperworks took longer than than the ceremony . Alicia did a fantastic job with everything. We are very happy . We were going to go to Las Wages LOL but thought about staying close by. Time constraints got us thinking about a nice quick ceremony and Madonna Wedding Chapel worked out perfect. My wife picked to go out to Olive Garden and have spaghetti. I got off cheap. But it was mostly if not all her idea. And you know what? We are both fine with it. My friends offered to have it at their houses or club house at their place but we just wanted it small anyways and economical so why not? After a few weeks maybe we will have a get together with friends. We don't need or want any gifts! So why have a big expensive wedding.
