We chose Chapel of Orange for our ceremony-only package and had an amazing experience. The staff is incredibly organized, warm, and supportive, which made the planning process so easy as a bride. We met with Cheryl, who was clear, friendly, and communicative from the start, and we truly appreciated her guidance. Our officiant, Drue, proactively reached out to schedule a call and thoughtfully included the personal details we asked for during the ceremony. A special thank you to Melissa, our coordinator, who helped with decorations, communication, and ensured everything ran smoothly on the wedding day. The team also arranged a ceremony walkthrough the day before with our friends and family, which helped everyone feel prepared. We also appreciated having both a bridal suite and groom suite, which made getting ready and taking photos very convenient. The venue itself is beautiful, and we would highly recommend Chapel of Orange.

My review is long overdue, but I had to share my experience getting married at the Chapel of Orange. Both Cheryl and Melissa created a positive experience for us while planning our wedding. We were able to plan our wedding with them in less than 2 months. What could have been a stressful time turned out to be a smooth and seamless planning process. They took care of many of the details from the set up and decor to the day of wedding coordination. I felt lost while planning my wedding but they provided me with ideas and recommendations that helped me navigate the planning process. The Chapel, garden, bridal suite, and reception area create amazing backgrounds for photos. I truly feel like Cheryl and Melissa went above and beyond to make our wedding day feel special. If you are looking for an intimate and special location to get married the Chapel of Orange is the place for you. Thank you Cheryl and Melissa for everything! We will always be grateful for the amazing experience and memories made at the Chapel of Orange.

The Chapel of Orange was the beautiful and perfect wedding venue of my dreams. I didn't know what I was looking for when I started planning, I just knew I wanted a chapel. As a more alternative bride with more traditional values, it was very important to me - and Chapel of Orange provided me with the most beautiful back drop to pull off a perfect blend of gothic and elegant. Cheryl and Melissa made everything so easy, answered all and any questions so quickly, and made every cent worth it. I was able to plan a hassle free wedding with AMAZING vendors (Dizzy Daisy and Butter N Cream did our flowers and cake), in just 4 months. They had so many options, it felt just like us. Planning a wedding in under a year is no small task and the Chapel of Orange went above and beyond with their amazing vendors and made the whole process not only easy, but enjoyable. The music was all artists and songs that we would listen to throughout our 7 year relationship and it gave an amazing feel for the day. Cheryl and her team are FANTASTIC. My husband and I absolutely loved the whole process. We had amazing decorations, a gorgeous wedding that was little to no stress because the team was so on top of it. Well oiled machine. My husband and I thought we weren't going to have a lot of people that danced, that it would be a conservative wedding...but it was SO FUN. Lots of dancing, laughter, no stress during the day...it was all I could ask for in the wedding. I was worried about the wedding planning a little because we planned it in increments. It scared me because I didn't know if it was actually going to be done well. I wish I told myself that everything was going to be perfect and not to worry. Cause Cheryl and her team REALLY know what they're doing. Trust the process! I 1000% recommend going with her. The place is beautiful and I honestly look at our wedding pictures almost on a weekly basis because they're just so nice! The cost of the wedding is all very transparent too so I loved that :) Thank you Cheryl, Melissa, and your whole team for making our wedding so special!

My dream wedding included walking down the aisle to the man that I loved. Found the dream man, just needed the dream place. My goal was to find a place that had character in itself. The Chapel of Orange was everything that I imagined. I visited a coupled more places, but the Chapel of Orange stayed in my heart. It was the right decision. The Chapel has a magical blend of classical charm and whimsical beauty that created the perfect atmosphere for our special day. Melissa was amazing throughout the planning process, and she, Cheryl, and the entire team worked tirelessly to bring our vision to life. Their attention to detail and genuine care made the day unforgettable for us and our guests. I may not be planning another wedding, but if you're looking for your dream venue, I highly recommend the Chapel of Orange. It truly is a place where my dream came true!

My gratitude to Cheryl and her team is endless! Cheryl, the owner has the best personality and so much experience which made the whole process a joy. The venue is beyond charming. Our guests kept commenting how much they loved the quaint garden and beautifully decorated ballroom. The Chapel of Orange offers several packages that are flexible and at significantly lower prices than other wedding venues. The lower price does not mean lesser quality at all! Everything was exceptional. You can add more items to your package, however the basic package offers everything you would need. The entire staff at the Chapel are professional, kind and great to work with. From the start Cheryl made the whole process STRESS free. She is amazing!!! I thought I would be overwhelmed to choose colors and decorations. Not with Cheryl around. With her background in interior design and her endless creativity it was easy. She asked me my favorite color and within a half an hour we had the most beautiful color scheme, decor and cake design picked out. She has an entire storage room filled with so many great decoration styles and creative accents. Coordinating the rest of the event was effortless also. Cheryl answered all my emails promptly making me feel at ease with any questions. She sends reminders to let you know she needs head counts, food choices, payments and any other details. She has an executive discount at two hotels less than two miles from the Chapel which are both great places to stay for guests if needed. From the minute we arrived at the Chapel of Orange on the day of our event it felt so magical! Cheryl was there along with Melissa, her assistant who is also amazing. They both kept the event running so smoothly!! The timeline Cheryl provided ahead of time and suggestions she offered were beyond helpful! The chef prepared the most delicious appetizers and entrees. Our guests couldn't stop commenting on how delicious the food was. We couldn't have been happier with the food and presentation. We had 82 people attend. The banquet room had plenty of room for our guests, the DJ, the bar, a candy bar and room for dancing. Cheryl had the Photo Booth set up in the garden. Throughout our reception guests took photos. Cheryl gave one photo to out guests and then placed another copy in a photo album which our guests wrote us messages next to their photos. The album was a parting gift from her along with a bottle of wine with a personalized label with our names and date of our wedding on it. What a thoughtful way for us to remember our special day. For our send off she had a bubble machine going with all our guests lined up along the path in the garden. It was such a nice surprise and a spectacular way to end our magical day!!! There were so many thoughtful touches throughout our event. We can't thank all of you enough for making our event so memorable and perfect in every way. You all are so talented at what you do! We more than highly recommend the Chapel of Orange!!! It is the best venue around!!

It's been a little over a week since my daughter got married at the Chapel of Orange. Our experience with Chapel of Orange was AMAZING! It truly is a one stop shop. The caterer Cheryl, the owner, uses is top notch. The food was SO good and they were also very accommodating with our guests dietary needs such as dairy free, gluten free, vegan and they were even able to coordinate and have a Kosher meal for one of our guests that required a Kosher meal! The cake my daughter ordered from the Los Alamitos bakery, one of the bakeries Cheryl uses, was beautiful and delicious! The florist, Dizzy Daisy Weddings, did a beautiful job with all the flower arrangements. The pianist, My Tran, was a wonderful piano player and the DJ was also great and played music in the style that my daughter and her fiance had requested. Melissa, the wedding coordinator, was just amazing all throughout the whole wedding and we didn't have to worry about anything! She was one step ahead the whole day and had even gathered and put all the things we had brought to be used for the wedding in one place for us to easily gather to take home! The whole place is just so beautiful...from the chapel, to the garden patio, to the reception room with a beautiful copper ceiling. The Chapel of Orange is truly the BEST!

With a guest count of 200, we felt that the reception hall was perfectly fitted; not too big and not too cramped either. 200 was too big to fit inside the ceremony hall, which was our one and only complaint. But, guests who sat outside mostly said their view was okay/clear. *Lily was a superstar. She truly took care of us and was on top of everything. Numerous guests noted that this was the most organized and well-running wedding they had ever been to, which was all due to Lily running the show. I would recommend having Lily as your coordinator 1000x over. *Bang for your buck. This was the first venue we toured, and after hearing the price and what was included there was absolutely question in our mind to book it. I was getting the same quote for ~80-100 guests that I did for 200 here. It was priceless being able to include as many guests while not having to compromise on other factors because they were all included in our package. We also LOVED the grooms suite. So many times the groom is left in the dust but this space was perfect and the guys really enjoyed it. The entire team, Rose and her son, our waitstaff, DJ Larry, and Lily were truly amazing to work with. We would choose the vintage rose for any of our future events!

Although…read moreHeather communicated very well, there were a couple of incidents that I found slightly unprofessional: 1. I signed a contract with one of her staff as my wedding planner. Unfortunately, from my understanding, there were unexpected changes in the company, so Heather had to take over. However, Heather responded that she would make an exception for me and not charge me an additional $1000 for this change. With all due respect, I should not be financially penalized for changes that an owner experiences; especially since I already signed the contract that I financially agreed to. 2. I encountered a lot of life changes that disrupted my ability to move forward with a wedding that my brothers were supposed to be in. For instance, I had a depressed, suicidal brother, I had another brother leave for Japan for the Marines, and I had an uncle pass away. All vendors except for Heather were so kind to fully refund my deposits due to the situation. Unfortunately, Heather responded that she was still a businesswoman and was financially hurting, so she was in no place to offer a full refund. I basically paid Heather almost $500 to establish a simple contract. I already had all the vendors in place and organized, so this deposit was for nothing. Heather should not be held responsible for unexpected circumstances, but this wedding meant a lot to me. As a business owner, you should be able to compromise with your clients based on their situation. I could have easily used that deposit to help my family for the funeral. I find this situation absurd because I never wanted a wedding planner to begin with. Our wedding list was only 32 guests, but my fiancé insisted that we hire a planner because he did not want me to stress out. I admire him for caring, but this wedding was going to be a private and intimate event with very little management. I blame myself for hiring a wedding planner when I did not need one. It is unfortunate that Heather was thinking like a businesswoman and not a human being with empathy. Nonetheless, please make sure to ask about the refund policy for emergencies such as death, health, etc. Two stars are for her communication, but I can only evaluate Heather based on my experience with her before the wedding date. Therefore, I am unable to provide feedback for her day service since my wedding never happened. Has it ever occurred to you, Heather, that you had not heard from me in a year because I was busy dealing with other important things like planning a funeral? My wedding was the last thing on my mind. Also, I was not complaining about the charge that never happened, I am complaining about your response to your changes. There was no need to comment on that you are more expensive and won't be charging me. We could have proceeded forward with whatever it was we were doing. You contacted ONE venue and that is because they had YOU sign a contract with them. FYI, my pre-engagement photos were scheduled with the photographer I hired for my wedding and I was still refunded the full amount. This vendor did not work for free either and still managed to prioritize customer service over money. You are a business owner and have the liberty to do as you please, but you must have needed the money more than I did, so I hope my contributions helped your business. Nonetheless, well done on your communication. If you have a family member with a life-threatening illness or you have a medical condition that may require potential hospitalization, please do not hire Heather as your wedding planner as she will not refund you the deposit because not make exceptions for your situation simply because she does not "work for free." Her and her assistant, Courtney, handled E V E R Y T H I N G on the day of our wedding at the Estate on Second and then some. If there was any sort of problem, she had the solution. If we needed a drink, she was there with mine and my husband's signature cocktails. If I was losing track of time, she made sure to gently push me along.
