Valley Dry Cleaners shrunk my husband's Italian men's dress shirts. They washed them instead of dry cleaning them. Also shrunk my curtains by 8 inches by washing them instead of dry cleaning. Did not offer to refund or remedy the situation. Very disappointing as this has been our dry cleaners for 18 years. It obviously recently changed owners. read more

Very friendly and efficient. I brought two pants and a blazer and it was ready when promised. They also saw some stains on my dress pants and asked it Rhee could keep it an extra day to try to remove the stains at no extra charge. Of course, I was happy to oblige. I have been using this dry cleaner for 18 months. Unfortunately today was my last time bringing clothing here. Today I went to pick up $75 worth of dry cleaning and I was missing two dress shirts. A few months ago one disappeared as well. When dropping off and picking up I always count them out in front of the clerk. I check my receipt before leaving the clothing too. The clerk said there was a miscount with my last drop off but I know it was not wrong. I have been more diligent since losing that first shirt. Dress shirts are $30-75 each! I took my cleaned clothes (after paying) and the ones I was going to drop off and left after telling him I wouldn't be back. He seemed unfazed by losing my business of $150/month dry cleaning bill. He kept trying to place the blame on me and I wasn't having it. So beware! Count your items. Take photos of what you take in. Don't trust these people. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Never have I been treated so poorly in my life as a customer. This is my first time ever writing a Yelp review but I wanted to share my experience since it was very upsetting and as a central coast native, have been coming to this dry cleaners for a long time. I went in to get a white dress and my boyfriend's button up white shirt cleaned, after taking some engagement pictures on a hiking trail. The dress was fairly dirty especially along the bottom (but not something that was stained by any means). The man who was running the store was EXTREMELY rude. He asked me if it was a wedding dress, which it was not, and I said no. The man was ARGUING with me telling me that it looked like a wedding dress. He quoted me a "starting price of $99" since he thought it was a wedding dress after I insisted several times it was not. I told him $99 was more than I paid for the dress. He said they would have to wash it several times to get the dirt out and it would be starting from $99 since he classified it as a wedding dress. Mind you, the dress was just a basic solid white maxi dress. I told him that I would just clean it myself then. I really wanted to give them business but sadly I will NEVER be coming back to this place and will not longer recommend it. WORST customer service ever. read more

Have used the service a few times for cleaning suits for special occasions and always had a positive experience. For this review specifically, a soon groom-to-be had asked each of us groomsmen to purchase a suit from Indochino. When it arrived...the suit... it just didn't look right. Two weeks to go until the big day. Thank you 1 Hour Valley Cleaner, the alteration went great and the turn-around was quick (about a week). Spectacular service!! My husband dropped off a bag full of clothes for our first big post Covid trip at Valley Cleaners near California Market. We had lots to do and forgot about picking them up until Friday night, after they were closed. I saw they had this other store and left a message to see if they could help us on Saturday even though it was closed. My husband thought it was never going to happen, but since it was all his clothes so I texted a message. Before the 1 Hour Valley Cleaner opened they had called, texted and emailed. I have been to this cleaners a few times over the years. The owner is very kind and always quick to get me in and out with a smile. I have used these cleaners for years. The last 2 times I was very disappointed. I took my curtain in to have it cleaned. I advised there were stains on it. I got it back with the same stains. I decided to give them another try. My dog threw up on my sofa cushion. I brought it in. When I got it back the zipper stitching had come out on one side. I sew so I fixed it ok, but the cleaners did not advise that this has occurred nor did they fix it. I read more

I love 1 Hour Valley Cleaners. This is a family-run business that's been in Pismo Beach for decades, or at least since I was a kid. Their work is excellent quality, and they can turn around your drycleaning in an hour. I sent in some bridesmaid dresses, dress pants, and some pants for hemming, and everything came out perfectly. After having a few sketchy experiences with drycleaners in my SF hood, i was really happy to come back home and have everything come out perfectly. I decided not to use their services because they were so inconsistent with pricing. I called to see if they dry clean wedding dresses. I told one of the girls who works there over the phone that my dress is vintage, and there is yellowing on the lace. She said wedding dresses started at $100. I figure it will be more than the basic rate because it is vintage, so I say "it may cost up to $150 or $200 for mine in that case." Her response was that it "would never be that much." She reiterated that it starts at $100, "and surely wouldn't be over $150." When I showed up the man at the front tells me the starting price is $175. I would not have a problem with the price, but it was the fact that he laughed at me when I told him about the phone conversation I had. He says, "With who?" I say, "One of your employees, a woman." Damn it, why didn't I get a name and record it. I guess I just didn't like the way he treated me. I do not think they should quote prices over the phone. And, I learned how to better go about the situation as well. read more

I recently came here to get my wedding dress altered. They offer preservation, alterations and cleaning for wedding dresses.. The ladies who helped me were very nice and very professional. This is an awesome dry cleaners! They listen to what you need, give you realistic expectations, don't lose or damage clothes and are reasonably priced, especially considering the quality.
