But then the pieces started to fall in place. Distance, control, game strategy, consistency all started to improve. Gradually at first and then significantly now. Typically a high 90s low 100s in the past, I'm now consistently low 90s upper 80s. My handicap has dropped 5 strokes. I've added 20 yards plus to all my irons. Better control and distance off the tee. I'm really enjoying the game. Only criticism would be that the video technology isn't quite what you see on line and no forward projection of shot performance. Time to renew my lesson package, and I'll be sure to sign up with DK and GolfTec again.

I figured I should get fitted for clubs and then try a golf lesson. I found JPK golf instruction here on yelp, read the great reviews and decided to book a half hour lesson. I am so thankful I decided to do this. John was friendly, took the time to ask me about my goals, about my game, any injuries, my best club vs. worst club and even spent the time to review the data from a Ping club fitting session that I had just gone through earlier in the day. He then had me do some warm-up swings and took some video which we reviewed together as he pointed out what I was doing well and what needed fixing. He gave me three things to change/work on and before the half hour was done I was hitting the ball better than I ever have. I could not believe it. It felt so good to actually hit the ball down the middle of the fairway! hah hah! After I left I was hoping that what he thad taught me would stick - and apparently it has. I just got back from the range this morning and I have never had so much fun hitting balls. Just this one lesson has changed the whole game for me. I'm looking forward to doing more. It's a bit intimidating to be a senior lady who is starting out but Joel made me very comfortable and he really seemed to have the ability to assess my swing and then give me simple recommendations to correct issues. He was very clear, patient and very professional. I am looking forward to signing up for additional lessons in the future. I liked that they take the students out to a more private area where you can feel less intimidated. I would highly recommend. My son and I attended their four day school and it was beyond any of our expectations. I have played golf for the past 15+ years and my son played a bit when he was younger, but he has not picked up a club for at least ten years. They have a max 4:1 student:instructor ratio, which gives the pros plenty of time to give each student the attention they need. My son just wanted to be able to play with friends and clients and not shank it off the tee. In four days, he only had one errant tee shot and, by the end of class, he was hitting 220+ off the tee, and straight! Both of our short games improved dramatically over the four day school. My goals were to get another 10-15 yards off the tee and to improve my short game, both of which I accomplished, and more. The pace is perfect, with four hours of instruction each morning and then a tee time to play every afternoon. The instructors took a sincere interest in each one of us in our group and the entire experience was well beyond both of our expectations. Also, when I went to sign up, I had a lot of questions and spoke with Scott on the phone. He spent a lot of time with me and left nothing unanswered. If you are looking for a fun and productive golf school, this is the one for you. Also, if you are going with friends or family members who are at different levels, from never hitting to single digit, you will all benefit and have a great time!!

I was looking for well-priced, nice-looking shorts; went to the large back area where the PGA brand is displayed. Huge selection for men. Women's PGA clothing was only along the wall in the very back. Pricing for men's shorts? As low as $39.00. For women? None as low as $39. They were priced at $72! I asked the sales guy about where the $39 shorts were for women. His response? "I don't know ... I don't know all the prices in the store." I found 2 associates, a woman and an older man, in conversation and interrupted them to share this experience. The woman was surprised and disappointed; said, "here's the guy who can really help." His response, "Aw no, they don't care about this stuff." Started to make an excuse. My response? "There's a name outside on this building that stands for something and I sure thought it was service and quality in the game of golf.... Which both men and women play." I am so disappointed in PGA Superstore ... but I maybe they have changed their business model... and maybe it IS a store for men.

I looked everywhere for a good Pilates studio, then went on Google and Instagram and found this gem. I decided to fill out my information and Libby contacted me. She's amazing. I told her about my history of injuries and that I wanted to rehab my shoulder, and she was so understanding. I got set up for my first class and was extremely nervous because of my injuries. Before class started, Libby explained how to use the machine and helped get me set up, which made me feel comfortable right away. My first intro class was amazing. It was definitely a challenge, but wow, I worked so many different muscles I haven't used in a long time. The instructor, Kaitlyn, was amazing too. She helped me throughout the class and kept checking asking how's my shoulder since they already knew about my shoulder and knee injuries. Most instructors wouldn't take the time to check in during class, but Kaitlyn was right there helping me during different exercises and helping with techniques. After such a great intro class, I followed up with Libby and joined. Investing in your body is the ultimate gift. Helping me rehab my shoulder and knee injuries is going to improve so much for me. If you're looking for a great environment with patient instructors who truly have empathy, this is the place to join if you want to see real results. I'm excited about the future of this studio. The instructors are super young, they play annoying music, they don't pay attention to your form or if you misheard what springs are changed, or even if your form is correct. They don't allow for stretch in between strengthen. It's easier on the body to rest one minute and stretch in between moves not 15 minutes at the end. I was so spoiled at the last business i attended, that went out of business due to owner retirement. I gave Define another few chances for $170- I was only able to get 3 classes in for the one month time period, due to my busy work schedule, living 25 mins away, and suffering from migraines. Total rip off! Never again. It's easier for me to pay as I go but the sales pressure you into getting the so called best value- which is only best for the owners pocketbook! Listen Ashley LeGrand Jahner- your hyped up sales tactics you force on your staff isn't doing yourself a service- word of mouth on a bad business has a greater impact than your friendsies putting 5 stars on here. And- this is NOT concierge. Look the word up. Every class but the 7 am on the weekend had a waitlist booked out for weeks.
