The continental is pretty poorly maintained and ran executive type golf course. Tee boxes are beat up and littered with broken tees. Empty canisters of sand and grass seed mix on the carts so no ability to address the occasional heavy divet, slow pace of play even though they have a marshal, etc. The good news is the round of golf is more reasonable than most other courses. Like the saying goes though, 'you get what you pay for' when choosing to play a round at the continental. read more

Condition of the course was fine, aside from the pace of play. The cart girl was completely unprofessional and rude. She ruined the whole experience. It was triple digits and she wouldn't provide us any extra ice for our water. Beyond that, she has a dog with her that did not seem friendly at all. Completely unsafe to have the dog be off the leash. Then her profile pops up on my tiktok FYP and she's recording herself and customers without consent. Unbelievable. This golf course is a joke. My friends and I were supposed to play here Saturday morning but were unable to attend due to a fire at our Airbnb the night prior and our group having to end our trip early. Since this wasn't within the "24 hours before" cancelation period we did not receive a refund. The management here is awful. They make it to where you can't connect with managers besides via email. This clearly shows how they do not take the safety of their customers seriously. I would not recommend attending this course because there are many great courses in Scottsdale and this is not one of them. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

This place has gone downhill fast. I'm not sure who's in charge during the week but it seems like they just shut down shop at random times. Showed up at 4:40 today for a range session and they decided to stop giving range balls at 4:30 for reasons that no one knew? Not sure if management knows they're turning down revenue like that. The course is in horrendous condition at all times of the year. I left a Peter Millar sweater in the back of my golf cart after a round, ran back 30 minutes later and the staff said they couldn't find it? Really? Continental is a nice course. Not many hazards and some interesting holes. It's pleasantly situated along Scottsdale's green belt. We thought the pace of play was good on an October morning as we got out before a ladies league. The staff is very nice and surprisingly remembered us when I called for only the second booking in recent time. Also the guys who take your clubs and put them on a cart for you are very friendly and clean them as they unload them after your round. The cafe has quite a few options for food and drinks. I'd like to eat there if my fellow golfers weren't intent on somewhere else. Overall, Continental is one of my favorite more reasonable courses in the area. read more

Amazing course for the value. I have the Arcis membership and it cost me $24 at 6am (and rates only get cheaper throughout the day whether you are arcis or not). I didn't have super high expectations for the course but was very happy with what the conditions. Pro shop and starter/marshall staff were super friendly. Course was in very solid shape considering it is June in Arizona. Teeboxes were great, fairways had good grass, and the greens rolled pretty pure. Range mats are in great shape. This place is an atrocity right now. Seeded over a month ago and have huge brown almost divot size holes in the greens from some type of animal. Rough just off the fringe at some spots resemble a 2nd grade soccer field. Greens were dry on some and soaked on a few. Ball rolls like you're putting on shitty old carpet. I wish nothing more than to never come back oh and the bunkers??? How in gods green earth is that even considered a bunker? Harder than the open desert. Played on a Saturday, tee time was 11:22 and we got in line at 11:15 with three groups still ahead of us. Ran behind from the start and pace of play did not exist. I'm not normally a stickler for pace of play as I also look forward to playing on the weekends and it's relaxing, but immediately behind us were more and more carts it seemed as if the splits were 3 minute tee times. What probably would've been a 2.5 hour play turned into a 4.5 hour outing. Again not mad at how long it took, more upset with the train car approach to tee times. The course was very saturated, we recently got rain, but greens had standing water on some and we had to abuse the ball washers on the holes to clean off the balls. As others have mentioned bathrooms are a portapotty. Other than the above, the clubhouse was good. Hotdogs were ready for the turn and the staff was friendly. This feels like it could be a great course for routine play but it certainly was not worth the ~65 per person green fees we paid. read more

A night tourney with glow in the dark golf balls ended up being super fun. Granted it's a short course with pretty easy holes but still had a blast. I've played a lot of golf in Scottsdale and this is more your kid to play golf or cheap quick round with friends type course. Continental is an easier and forgiving course with how wide open the fairways are. The greens are typically pretty good and smooth without patchy spots. From the handful of times I've been here, there are a couple of holes where it tends to get backed up with 2 or 3 parties waiting to tee off. And the other issue with the course is that the tee-boxes are not always level and are sometimes placed in the very back or very front of the box, resulting in you standing at an angle when you're hitting. Today when we went, we had the first tee time at 715. But they held everybody back by 45 minutes because of a frost delay. As much as we disliked being set back, the course was able to be played quickly and we finished in about 3 hours! Overall, continental is your standard golf course, good for beginners, and a good place to go for the price! read more

I have golfed at this course many times. My past two experiences have been horrible. About 2 weeks ago I had a tee time and the employee at the front desk was rude to me right off the jump. He has a beard and glasses... This wasn't the first time that he had rubbed me the wrong way. After checking in, I was standing on the first tee & the guy at the front desk spoke into the loud speaker across the entire complex for me to catch up and play with the group in front of me. I hadn't even hit my first tee shot. I was really frustrated by that. I decided to bite my tongue and continue on, but it was irritating. A few days ago, I decided to give Continental another shot. I called to ask a question about my tee time and the guy who answered the phone was extremely rude. I had the phone on speaker in my car with my mother. She was shocked and pissed off by the way the guy spoke to me. It has been on my mind for the past few days and I knew I needed to leave a review. I value customer service, and a few of the employees at Continental GC continue to treat me badly. I dont think I will be back. read more

A local favorite for the cost and convenience to Old Town, I have come here for the driving range and played 18 holes. For those of you on WFH status, you can even squeeze in 9 holes under an hour easily. This is definitely a great course for beginners or nonserious golfers. Keep in mind, not every player here does understand the rules and etiquette of golf. Golf is about patience though is it not?! During summer time of the year, you can play for as little as $19 but be prepared for a packed course. Scored one of my best games here by shooting in the low 80s. To me, it's more a short course of par 3s so you can work on that birdie. You can build your confidence here since it's a relatively easy course and not a ton of water features. Why not come out on a school night and hit some balls to chill?! Perfect for date night, Sunday bumday, and just to be out on the course perfecting that swing. read more

Good for what it is. It is a course that is great for beginners or to bring your kids. It is a short executive course. No Par 5's . Par was 60. Tee boxes were very uneven and in bad shape. At some spots your ball could be 6 inches lower than where you stand. Fairways were respectfully below average. The greens were not horrible. Pace of play was very slow but that was not a negative on the rating because it was expected on this value oriented, city course. I expected to see cutoff jeans and t-shirts and boom, we did! The beverage staff was nice and they had a good selection. Only saw the beverage cart once on course. Overall would I go back...maybe with the kids. I just wanted to check the box. read more

The Course? The course feels like it was designed by a 12-year old. It has no continuity, and it's short - really short. You'll get tired of hitting 100-yd hole after 100-yd hole. You'll encroach on lots of other holes with a hit that's even 15 yards off. Use of water and bunkers are boring and non-engaging. Greens are gross. Pace of play is okay, but usually a bit slow. The Staff? They'll treat you like garbage. I've golfed here many times, and everyone who works here seems to start from a place of extreme disrespect. Just have a question? You're an inconvenience, and they don't care. Want to buy a bucket for the range? They'll shake their head and sigh like you're begging for money on the side of the road. The Range? If you're looking to check out the range, good luck. The staff is too lazy to collect balls, and they'll often run out. Watch out for closing times - if the range closes at, say, 7:30, they have a policy to close the office at 6:30... But they might just decide to stop handing out balls at 5:50 for no reason. Honestly, don't count on getting balls or spots here. Amenities? Club house is dull. Drink carts won't often come around. I've golfed a few games here with no Marshall and no drink carts .. during mid day on a weekend What else is there to say? You'll be tempted by the low prices, but if you'll leave feeling frustrated off and disrespected. Every time. read more

After a few weeks at some difficult courses, it was nice to play an easier, shorter course. This course is excellent for beginners. Staff was very friendly. Carts were fine, no GPS, definitely not needed at this short of a course. The greens and areas around the green were in very good condition. However, there were *TONS* of ball marks on the green. So annoying that the people who play here don't repair ball marks. The staff would be wise to remind players to do so. They had a good mix of beers on tap, and the beverage cart passed by often. The 18th hole is a legitimately difficult dogleg right par 4 over water. Not particularly cheap given that it's an executive course, $35 (cart included) to play at 2pm on a recent Sunday. The course was packed. Seems like the residents of Scottsdale love this place. My friend rented clubs and they looked fine. read more

We have been playing this golf course for the past 15 years. Yes, sometimes it does take you 4 1/2 to 5 hours to play around. But we have learned to golf early in the morning around 7 AM. This morning, we played 18 holes in two hours. But they really need to fix the t-boxes. I have never seen any t- boxes as bad as this course. On one of the reviews, someone wrote and said to take a tractor level it out and reseed, and the problem will be solved. It only takes a little bit a time and effort. read more

Golfed here multiple times before, it is always a little slow because its an easy course with lots of beginners on it. I went today and it took over an hour to play 3 holes. We decided we would go ask for a rain check so we could just come back another time and get our moneys worth. When we asked the guy at the front desk he said we should have expected the wait because it is "busy season" I understand it is the busiest time of the year but a tiny par 3 course should not take almost 6 hours to play 18 holes on a monday afternoon. That is absurd. He offered absolutely no help and was very rude as soon as we brought anything up. He also claimed it should take 4 hours to play 18. Which in itself is absurd and we were playing at a pace 2 hours slower than that and he simply could not do the math to understand that. Terrible customer service. Do not recommend. Absolute waste of time and money. They need to immediately find a new employee for the front desk. Would definitely just give him the one star if I could.The cart guys were cool though. read more

This is a great little executive course in the middle of Scottsdale. I've been playing here since I started golfing at age 10, and it's become somewhat nostalgic to me. They always have great specials floating around online, so be sure to check before you pay full price. With only six par 4s on the course, it's a great opportunity to work on your irons before shoveling out big bucks to all the other target golf courses around the valley. I would recommend Continental to anybody wanting to get re-acquainted to desert golf or beginners in general. Since most of the holes are par 3s it seems like a slow round having to wait until the group in front of you gets off the green. With that said I still have yet to play a round over 4 hours here. Don't expect top notch conditions, but the fairways and greens are always in good to great shape, especially considering the price you pay. This night golf thing they offer sounds intriguing, I'll have to give that a try next time I visit the area! read more

One of the worst ran golf courses in Arizona. I've been here a few times, hoping that they finally got their time management under control, but I am always disappointed. The golf shop service is below average, the guy that helped me just wasn't that friendly and didn't make me feel welcome even though I'm paying to play there.
