DK is the man. Started lessons with DK about 11 months ago. When we started he cautioned me that as we reworked my swing and my game I would be frustrated for a while until it all came together. He was right, frustrated was an understatement... But then the pieces started to fall in place. Distance, control, game strategy, consistency all started to improve. Gradually at first and then significantly now. Typically a high 90s low 100s in the past, I'm now consistently low 90s upper 80s. My handicap has dropped 5 strokes. I've added 20 yards plus to all my irons. Better control and distance off the tee. I'm really enjoying the game. Only criticism would be that the video technology isn't quite what you see on line and no forward projection of shot performance. Time to renew my lesson package, and I'll be sure to sign up with DK and GolfTec again. read more

Derek has improved my game immensely, after starting with he and GolfTEC nearly two years ago. The combination of indoor and outdoor lessons is huge. I've taken lessons and purchased clubs and recommended Derek and Golftec to the people I golf with here in Arizona. I've played golf for years, but have never been very good with my scores. During a televised PGA event in March I saw a commercial for GolfTec so I called. I got paired with a coach named Brittnay McKee who has been awesome! I think the key here is to sign up for a years worth of lessons, and not carry the expectation that things will improve overnight. Your coach will give you the information you need to make changes, but you have to be willing to put in a ton of practice. All of the coaches at GolfTec talk about committing to the process. Sure, I'll be the first to review. I worked with Cody this morning and it was way better than I expected. I've tried to take video of my swing before, but it's just not the same. The sensors and multiple views of your swing in here, and the analysis that comes with it is really helpful. I thought I had a pretty decent swing, but soon found out there are some major areas of opportunity. Thanks a lot for that Zac Johnson comparison! Ouch. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants to know what they need to do to improve their golf game. The consultation was absolutely worth it. Lesson packages can get a little pricey, but I get it. Took a chance and had a driver fitting at this location. The fitting itself was somewhat beneficial. Not sure it's any better than what can be provided at no cost from another retailer or manufacturer demo day. Most bothersome however was that I have since repeatedly called to order a custom driver (TM Sim2Max) and never receive a return call. They need to be more responsive to a potential purchase. read more

Do not go to Golftec. They have no clue when it comes to correcting faults in a golf swing. I spent substantial time and money with two instructors and neither could help me...at all. I actually had better success doing the opposite of what they were suggesting for grip and set up. (They wanted me to grip the club in the palms of my hands and set up further away....disaster!!!). This is probably the biggest waste of time and money for the serious golfer. Again....do not go to golftec....ever!! read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever. I went in to get fitted at the North Scottsdale store on Shea and wanted to try a KBS 10 and the DG 105. I called several times to make sure they had those shafts, they said yes. I requested a fitter that was recommended and set up an appointment. After hitting my club I was given another one to try. I asked about the KBS 105 and he said they did not have it available, what I was told it was available! Before setting and appointment I also asked what the price would be for the fitting and told them I had a coupon that gave me $50 off. Their price at the times was $95 not the usual $125 so I confirmed they would charge me $45, again they said yes. When I was done with the very unsatisfactory fitting they said it was $125 and were surprised when I handed them the coupon. They then said it would be $75. They did not make notes of my calling and confirming and started complaining even more. I paid just to get out of there and then called management of GolfTec in Colorado, they had the Shea manger call me back. This guy wasted my time while telling me that I was wrong and they were right. They lied to me and did not honor their word. Lastly it was clear that the whole fitting program is to get you to take lessons from them. The fitter I had was an instructor too and said I had swing problems and said that it would take awhile to fix. Do not trust these guys they have zero ethics or credibility. They want to take advantage of naivete and inexperience of all those that they trick into their store. read more
