He said they do not allow people to do something to their car like wiping or cleaning. Then they falsely accused me of being in the DC garage before. I responded that this was my first time. I was in the Genesis garage a month ago. I was just waiting for my family and wiping my car. I'm quiet here and there were no cars around me. I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm just waiting for my family. Then his partner escalated more by accusing me that I had a weapon the first time he met me. I asked him what kind of weapon? You did not call the police a few weeks ago the first time we met in the Genesis garage where you falsely accused me of possessing a weapon because you were not certain of what you saw. Why were you guys so aggressive and harassing me instead of being reasonable and showing customer service skill? You are not in a combat zone. Plus I'm on your side. I don't understand why you are escalating the situation. I'm just waiting for my family from the theater and wiping my car. Then while I was about to leave, the Filipino security guard called 911 police and reported me of possessing a gun which he or no one ever saw a weapon. They were really trying hard to escalate the situation against a calm US veteran, who dedicated his life in protecting our freedom and liberty and quietly parked in an open to.public garage. These two allied security guards won't even let me wait for my family and wipe my car peacefully. And even falsely accused me of a weapon and called the police. These allied security guards are tyrant and dangerous! They were trying to get people hurt, arrested or ruined a life ONLY because I was wiping my car while waiting for my family peacefully in an open to public garage. That's absurd! I calmly left the premises without any incident. Then about 10 Police officers came to my place because of an allied security guard's false claim and accusations. I educated the responding police officers how not to escalate and overact in a situation. They all left within 10 mins without any incident except for one aggressive knucklehead officer who doesn't understand trespassing. Those two allied guards were horrible and dangerous. They escalated the situation for no reason at all and falsely accused a US veteran who sacrificed so much for serving our country just because he's quietly wiping his car while waiting for his family from the theater in an open to public garage. THAT'S RIDICULOUS! I don't understand why would allied universal who has a great reputation hires these kinds of dangerous and overly aggressive guards. Those 2 guards are dangerous to the theaters customers. UNBELIEVABLE!

Pacific Plaza is a great place to have an office. I've only dealt with their security, maintenance…read moreand cleaning team but they are all great. The security team is really friendly and I feel they actually care about their tenants. They also say hello to the regular employees and that shows that they pay attention to who is entering and exiting as well as their great customer service. I like that badges are needed to get to the companies. It really makes you feel safer. On the fun side, during Christmas they hire live music and have a beautiful tree in the lobby. As for the surrounding area, it is within walking distance to Bart, is next to Century 20 Movie Theater and is surrounded by many eateries such as Subway, Starbucks, Beach Burrito, 88 Rice Bowl, Kome Sushi Buffet, Tomo Sushi and Teriyaki and Cold Stone Creamery. They also have two very large parking garages. I also appreciate that they promote blood drives. It makes me feel like they have a connection to the community.

SF is a beautiful place to begin with, but all these little POPOS's are jewels pretty much just sitting here to be enjoyed at will. Of the 68+, this POPOS is in the the upper echelon. 101 Second Street Greenhouse and Mezzanine is a terrific space that you might not realize is open to the public. My first experience with this space was walking by on a December evening shortly after sunset. The space at 101 Second Street looks normal enough during the day - a large window facade on another nice, relatively new building. Well, at night, the facade shows the space inside with a lot less effort. This is a huge glassed-in lobby with a mezzanine-level. There are trees inside, and there are two nice pieces of public art. On a sunny day (and we have some of those in California) the light is amazing through the two-story+ glass. There are also a number of tables and chairs on the mezzanine-level to eat, which also provides a nice view of the space and the art. Of course this is the FiDi, so almost everyone here if working and on a lunch or a break. This place is pretty vibrant, so if you're looking to chill it may not be your first choice. (There are several places around that will work for that - try the KPMG Building.) This is also a place where the irony is that it's indoors, but particularly beautiful on a nice day. I look forward to coming in once it gets Novemberish/Decemberish and open during the darker hours to see what it's like in that light. Oh - and there's a Peets Coffee on the ground floor. It's also very near several other terrific POPOS such as: 560 Mission Plaza, 555 Mission Sculpture Garden, Shaw Alley, The Sun Terrace, KPMG Greenhouse and Galleria, 235 Second Street and Marathon Plaza... just to name a handful.

Okay to be fair, I knew about the list of POPOS in San Francisco but never bothered to explore them since the list was so long. Anyways, since I work remotely, coming to 101 Second Street is perfect for answering emails or taking phone calls between in-person meetings. It's also good for meeting up with friends or colleagues since it's so central. The furniture and decor is simple and corporate, but there are electrical outlets if you need to recharge. The lighting in the atrium isn't the best, even though there are glass walls, and I wouldn't come here for the view unless you're into people-watching for the better part of the day. There's an entrance into Peet's Coffee for a caffeine boost with plenty of restaurants nearby for actual sustenance. There's no internet in this space, so I would typically just tether off my phone for a few hours while charging at the countertop seating area. Overall I love the convenience of 101 Second Street and how bustling the atmosphere can be. I'm guessing it's super busy during lunch, but if you visit during off-hours like 10am or 3pm, then you're almost guaranteed to find somewhere to sit. It's best for solo work sessions or one-on-one meetings (no groups) so stop by and check it out sometime!

The American Industrial Center is hard to describe. It's not a mall, really, but it is two very…read morelarge multistory buildings that contain all kinds of businesses. It takes up almost two entire long Dogpatch blocks on the east side of 3rd Street. The northern building is larger and runs between 20th and 22nd Streets.* The southern building starts at 22nd Street and almost makes it to 23rd. There are storefronts that open directly onto the 3rd Street sidewalk in both buildings, and the southern building has some street-level storefronts at 22nd Street. Most of the businesses, however, are on the upper floors, which require entering the buildings to access. I would tell you how many floors there are, but it's confusing, because it's technically eight even though they're both four-story buildings. Half of the floors are sub-floors, meaning that different parts of the buildings have different floor and ceiling heights. To make it even more confusing, each building has multiple mailing addresses; so, for example, although some businesses have 2339 3rd Street as their address, there's no 2339 3rd Street entrance; you'd have to enter at 2325 3rd Street and take the elevator (or stairs, if you can find them) to floor 2R, which is different from floor 2. They have everything from pizza places to bike shops to wine stores to cheese shops to catering companies to yoga studios to bakeries to overpriced grocery stores. I've spent much more time in the northern building, and it's a really fun building to explore, especially its various stair exits, which almost all involve crazy winding hallways. I believe both buildings were canneries in the past. Parking is generally pretty easy around the buildings themselves and in the neighborhood on the west side of 3rd Street, but be mindful of the posted limitations. I received a parking ticket on Tennessee Street because I was parked in a two-hour EE Permit Area Zone where the enforced hours are Monday through Saturday, eight a.m. to ten p.m.! (I got this ticket at 7:49 p.m.) You can avoid all that mess by taking public transit. Your options are the T streetcar and the 15, 22, 48, and 55 buses. *For reasons I've never been able to determine, 21st Street stops in the Mission District at Potrero Avenue and is completely absent from the numbered streets in both Potrero Hill and Dogpatch. It reappears in the Central Waterfront, where Michigan Street strangely turns into it, and then it forms a rare double-jog with little-known Louisiana Street.
