Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing and honestly confusing. I came in with my newborn son and my mom, and after waiting a few minutes without being acknowledged we walked up to the front desk to ask for help. A staff member assisted us and showed a few bands. When I found one I liked, I asked if it could be made in yellow gold. She said she would check with the vendor and offered to clean my engagement ring so I could look at the bands with my clean ring. After a few minutes, she returned with my ring, and when I asked to try on another band, she told us she was now helping someone else and couldn't assist us further.This was surprising since she had been helping us the entire time up to that point. I was ready to move forward with purchasing a ring but never received an answer about pricing and was told no when I asked to see another option. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

They clearly don't know how to work on platinum (which has been confirmed by two jewelers who've looked at their solder work). The solder popped and then shortly after that I got it caught and my ring is unwearable. I took it in to see if anything could be done. The first thing they said was that the answer was no because I didn't have a receipt. The owner was rude and short. How was I to know they didn't have the information in some sort of database? It doesn't seem like a stretch to believe that a business who has thousands of customers (as the owner himself told me several times) would have a computer program to track business in. This information can be verified with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration - Publication# 73. I visited Legacy Jewlers to have my wife's rings resized. Upon the initial visit I met with one of the owners, Kevin who was very friendly and was able to assist us with determining the proper sizing of the ring. He mentioned it would take about a week to complete. The cost to resize (1 size down) a gold ring and platinum ring was $120. When picking up the rings I met with the other owner, Nick. He included sale's tax even though CA sale's tax is only applicable to purchasing materialistic items and not services. I explained that CA sale's tax is not applicable to services and he could verify this information with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) which is the CA State Department that administers the Seller's Permit which is required to operate the business. I even offered to show him exactly where this information could be found on the CDTFA website since he had a computer nearby. He declined and said he wasn't changing how he charges customers even though he refunded me the illegally charged sale's tax. It was interesting to encounter a business owner oblivious to the law while declining to learn and apply the law to prevent an audit, fees, and potential Seller's Permit revocation by the CDTFA.

We were quoted $1000 for a 2mm 10k gold band, we chose to go with something thinner and then was told the thinner band would be $1000 and the 2mm band was actually $1400, despite us having a voicemail proving that was not the original quote. This was after numerous delays and inconsistencies including: -waiting 2 weeks just to get a quote -voicemails saying items would be ready a certain day only to come in and find out they were never ordered -asking for 10k gold and being given prices for 14k gold without knowing. We contacted the owner and they sort of apologized but also denied that any of things mentioned above happened despite us having proof based off voicemails they left. It was also implied I was only upset due to the stress of wedding planning since this was suppose to be my wedding band which felt super dismissive. We were offered either $50 off or our deposit of $300 back and chose to have our deposit refunded, which we did appreciate.
