Steer clear!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! Last summer I took two rings here to be sized. One was platinum and one was an heirloom that I got from my grandmother. I can't wear my grandmothers ring because suddenly the main large diamond is loose. But that's not the biggest issue. My platinum engagement band was resized. They clearly don't know how to work on platinum (which has been confirmed by two jewelers who've looked at their solder work). The solder popped and then shortly after that I got it caught and my ring is unwearable. I took it in to see if anything could be done. The first thing they said was that the answer was no because I didn't have a receipt. The owner was rude and short. How was I to know they didn't have the information in some sort of database? It doesn't seem like a stretch to believe that a business who has thousands of customers (as the owner himself told me several times) would have a computer program to track business in. The owner maintained he does k is how to work on platinum but I'd argue that if he did my ring wouldn't look like it does in this picture. Local jewelry store that sizes rings. I called a few other places in town and they wanted triple what they charge here which is between $45-$65. They had my ring done in a few days too and called me to let me know. They sell some beautiful rings and jewelry here. Lots of gold nugget necklaces and gold county type of jewelry. They also carry and buy used jewelry which was pretty, and reasonably priced, beats the pawn shops for sure! Lol read more

We had a wonderful experience! I brought in an older ring that used to belong to my mother to have it cleaned up and a diamond replaced so that I could give it to my future daughter-in-law. Everybody there was very helpful. The ring was repaired at a very reasonable cost and a quick turnaround time. I took a pair of Brighton earrings to this jeweler for repair. It is a nice enough brand to support a repair job. The jeweler charged me $25. The next time I went to wear them I realized he had simply glued the post back on to the earring; he didn't solder it as would have been the proper technique. I called and complained that he simply glued the post back on...he got very defensive and said I could always return them for another repair if the glue didn't hold. That's a dumb way to approach a repair if you ask me, and I should have just taken the earring to a more reputable jeweler for the proper repair. Today, unfortunately, the post again fell off, while I was running errands, and the earring got lost on the ground somewhere. I tried to back track to find it but no luck. If this repair job had been done properly (soldering) this experience wouldn't have happened. I do not recommend this jeweler for repairs, and I'm soured on him for any future purchases!! read more

Paid a fair amount of money to have our wedding rings in white gold for our anniversary. Less than 3/4 months and my band is completely void of any white gold and my wife's rings are showing through as well. We went in today and spoke with someone (who wasn't wearing a mask) and we were told that there was nothing that could be done as there is no Warrenty. My husband bought me a beautiful set of earrings from this place last year. He spent about $1400 on them, they are gold nuggets with diamonds, I love them. They were made by the jeweler there and they are lovely. I love wearing them. They also resized a ring for me about 6 months ago. The interaction for the ring resizing was weird. Today we went there to inquire about having them do a custom ring to celebrate our 16th anniversary. I brought some diamonds and gold that I wanted to incorporate into my setting, we felt like we were prepared. We had figured we would be spending $2-3k for this ring. The very strange, unfriendly lady with the strangely died red hair freaked out. They couldn't possibly have it ready by Christmas! We assured her we weren't concerned about it being ready by Christmas, our anniversary is Monday and we just wanted to get the ball rolling. She insisted that she couldn't even talk to us about it because they were so busy. There was one other couple in the store and they were being run out as well. This woman Is awful. This is the third time I've dealt with her. She is the worst thing possible for this business. My husband tried desperately to be polite and try to figure out why she was so adamantly refusing our business but I'm done. I will never go there again and will tell everyone I know not to go there. If she's the owner, good grief, how have you ever stayed in business. If she's an employee, what the heck is the owner thinking letting this creature talk to customers. read more

Red headed lady (might be the owner) was super rude to me. When I walked in the door I wasn't greeted at all, they had 1 customer in there and a gentleman was talking to the customer and the red head lady was just standing about 5 feet away listening to their conversation so I stood about 3 feet away from the counter not wanting to interrupt a conversation and I was being patient so I was looking on my phone for ideas for engraving my fiancé's ring which is the whole reason I was there, I kept looking up to see if anyone would acknowledge me and I overhear her out of nowhere saying, "blah blah blah blah blah people are always on their cell phones, for example..." and points at me I look up and and says, "oh no offense" I thought it was rude and un called for, then she says, "I can help you when your ready" but she said it with an attitude. I told her "I've been ready I've been looking for ideas for ring engraving and I don't appreciate your comment about me looking at my phone" then she completely walks away from the counter and another gentleman comes over to help me. I work in customer service I understand how rude it is when customers are on their phones but then again if your not going to acknowledge me and see I'm patiently waiting for your attention keep your snarky comments to yourself. I only got the ring engraved there because I'm running out of time before the wedding but I don't recommend this place only because that lady and her crappy attitude! read more

I had one ring created by Ancient Gold using my great grandmothers diamonds. It's absolutely beautiful! And they clean it for free! I have also had my grandmother-in-law's engagement ring sized to fit (she had tiny fingers) and you can't tell that they added a significant amount to make the ring larger. The band was originally very thin and delicate, and I was worried that they'd have to make it thicker to make it larger. Not so! It looks exactly the same, just fit to my hand! Notice to anyone taking jewelry in for repair. You might not be contacted when your item is ready to be picked up. They do not keep copies of repair records and will inform you that some else may have picked up your item or that you must be mistaken and are in the wrong store when you go in to retrieve your jewelry. Hold onto your receipts and do not lose them. I donated a pretty nice stone (diamond ) to these people and there was absolutely no remorse or sympathy on their part. I went in to Ancient Coins 1/4/16 and asked about collectible coins. The male owner showed me several and while looking, another customer making a jewelry purchase chimed in, stating she had some coins in her truck that her father had left to her. She left the store to get the box and with a smile on his face, the owner suddenly told me 'Get the F#@k out of my store'. Surprised, I said, 'Excuse me?'. He repeated, smiling, 'Get the F#@K out of my store'. I asked it he was kidding (because he was smiling) and he repeated a 3rd time, 'Get the F#@k out of my store'. I left the store & will never go back. If the owner had preferred I not speak with somebody else about a transaction that didn't involve him, in his store, that's perfectly understandable. I'd of been happy to leave if he'd politely asked the private discussions happen outside his store. There was absolutely no need for him to use the 'F' word, profanely insulting me 3 times. Some people in life are extremely rude. Cuss people out, & there's a great likelihood they won't patronize your business! Want jewelry in the foothills?
