Many companies were downright rude, stating they do not make their employees work on holidays. Others gave us absurd quotes, and after weeks of searching, I had almost given up hope of finding anyone. Being 6 months pregnant, and hosting a Thanksgiving party for 30-40 guests in my home, I really wanted an extra set of hands to help set up, maintain the buffet, and clean up. Tina agreed to come work herself when she wasn't able to find any of her waitstaff to come in. She showed up 15 mins early while I was still in my pajamas running around getting food in the oven, and got right to work. She finished setting up my buffet, wrote the names of the dishes on my mini chalkboard plaques, and greeted guests while I quickly got ready. She was very personable and professional and willing to do whatever was necessary to make the evening go smooth. When the punch ran out, she offered to make more. She helped carve the turkey, ensured the buffet was refilled as necessary, and plated the desserts at my request to make it easy for guests to grab and sit down. She packed leftovers in To Go containers, cleaned up, washed dishes, and took out trash. Many of my guests came up to me throughout the night to compliment her service. Every time a guest wanted one of the drinks he had to Google the recipe on how to make it, which made the line long at some point throughout the night. He also was asking the host for other ingredients that were not on the inventory list provided in the booking process. At another point of the night he asked the host what was "Brandy". A consistent sanitary method of getting ice would have been very considerate seeing as through you are serving guest and should not be using your hand to grab ice. At a point in the night we were very tempted to ask him to leave and we would've figured out the rest of the night but, do to the fact we had guest there and we honored our contract, we just left it alone to make it through the party. There was also a moment to where we had to ask him to get back to the bar to make drinks as he was up making a plate of food a couple of times throughout the night. The invoice that was sent to us is incorrect. Our balance should only be $187.50. Once we get the corrected version, we will make that payment. Lastly, we were impressed in the beginning of our booking with the level of communication we received which is why we chose to book you all. As we got closer to the day of the event, we reached out via email and thumbtack for an update and check in and never received a response from our reaching out. Chef Beau said that the policy was explained to me in a "myriad if ways". This is simply not true. He is now refusing to return my $150 deposit even though he has his glass containers back. This is theft of my money as he has his property. It's simple - you charge a deposit for an item, the item gets to return you give back the deposit. Do not use the service!

Disappointing experience despite a fresh and new business relationship. We have used this catering…read morecompany for multiple corporate events and have spent considerable money with them. Historically, the food and service have been very good, which makes our experience with our most recent BBQ event particularly disappointing. The weather was questionable the morning of the event, so we understood the decision to precook the burgers and brats. However, the weather ultimately cooperated, and the event proceeded as planned. We specifically requested that we use at least one large gas grill we provided, even if only to keep the grill/char lines going, but that did not happen. The catering team arrived on time, but the setup was not completed as expected. Two chefs who had originally been scheduled to be onsite to cook the food ultimately spent much of the event standing around with very little involvement. More importantly, the food was served lukewarm to cold even though it arrived in hotboxes, and some food was undercooked/raw. The sternos were not lit until well after the food had been set up and less than 10 minutes before mealtime, which did little to address the temperature problem. For the price we paid, the quality of service and temperature of the food were simply not acceptable. I immediately raised my concerns with the event planner after the event. When I didn't receive a follow-up, I emailed to express our disappointment. To the event planner's credit, she responded and said the owner wanted to address the matter personally and would contact me after returning from out of town. That was over a month ago, and we have still received no communication. A coworker who also helps coordinate our company events separately contacted her point of contact at the company, but also received no response. What is most disappointing is not simply that one event did not meet expectations. We have been a significant repeat customer, and we expected our concerns to be acknowledged and addressed professionally. Instead, we received no follow-up at all. We have had good experiences with this caterer in the past, which is why this situation has been frustrating. Unfortunately, the combination of cold food, a lack of attention during the event, and zero follow-up afterward has made us decide to seek catering elsewhere for our corporate events.
