    Non-Stop Entertainment - Ryan Meeks Owner/DJ

I met with Ryan, who is professional but also just a cool dude. You can tell he gets it, and is up on the trends in the music and entertainment world. He took me through a whole presentation and explained how all of the wedding could be planned through their portal. The portal makes sure you address all the possible needs of a wedding- cocktail hour, first dances, bouquet tosses, and even if you want to accept requests or not, etc., but it's easy to indicate if you're skipping anything as well. His presentation was thorough and answered all my questions so I booked them the next day. I just went with their 6 hour DJ package, but they also offer longer packages with additional lighting and sound features, uplighting, fabric, photo booths, etc. You could really get a lot taken care of through this company! Although Ryan was not our DJ, the DJ we had (Chris B.) was very good. He played a great mix of songs and lots of people were dancing all night!! The guy never took a break, even though I did plan for him to eat dinner. My only two issues, which really weren't a big deal was that at one point the Christmas song "Silver Bells" came on during cocktail hour, and I promise that was not a song request. The other thing was that a few of our selected dance songs weren't the exact version I expected to here, but it was still the correct song overall so it wasn't a big deal. I highly recommend Non-Stop entertainment!

From our first interaction with Ryan, to working with Gina on our design, to the event itself...this team was amazing! Everyone was super nice, responsive, and very easy to work with. The Photo Booth itself was very sleek looking, and the props were awesome. We had no problems, and are very satisfied with how everything turned out. They have a wonderful group of people working for them!! I'd HIGHLY recommend using them. It doesn't get better than this!!!

Ryan was prepared, professional, energetic, fun, and kept the good vibes going all night. We were pretty particular about the music we requested, and he honored our requests, while putting his own spin on the evening. He has a knack for knowing the right song to transition into at the right time. All of his song additions were well received, his segues were super smooth, and our friends can't stop raving about how much fun they had on the dance floor. Thank you, Style Matters and Ryan, for your passion and execution in making this the best night of our lives!

WARNING: Style Matters Failed to Deliver My experience with…read moreStyle Matters was deeply disappointing and fell far short of their promises. The Promise vs. Reality After an extensive phone consultation with Spencer and completing a detailed questionnaire, I clearly communicated our vision for our wedding DJ. Spencer confidently assured me he had the perfect match for our event. Unfortunately, what we received was the complete opposite of what we requested. What we asked for: A highly skilled, charismatic DJ with creative mixing abilities and exceptional turntablist skills who could energize our celebration. What we got: A DJ (Margot/Diskokitty) who delivered a lackluster performance with below-average technical skills and zero enthusiasm as an MC. The Impact on Our Wedding Day The DJ's performance was so noticeably poor that multiple guests approached us asking, "What's wrong with the DJ? It's like she doesn't even want to be here." This was embarrassing and became a distraction on what should have been our perfect day. Honestly, I could have achieved the same result by pressing play on a Spotify playlist--and saved thousands of dollars in the process. Poor Communication and Planning Beyond the disappointing performance, Spencer's communication throughout the planning process was untimely and disorganized, creating unnecessary stress during an already demanding time. Broken Promises Style Matters markets themselves with bold claims: "25 of the most talented DJs this city has ever seen." -- They are not. "We will create a unique and incredibly enjoyable experience" -- They did not. "There's simply too much (music) out there to waste people's time on the stuff they've heard a million times before" -- We received exactly that: a generic, cookie-cutter wedding DJ set with zero creativity. Final Thoughts While we managed to salvage our celebration and create beautiful memories with our loved ones, the DJ performance was undeniably one of the lowest points of our special day. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for your wedding entertainment.

Once we made our first deposit, Tony sent us login info for our online client data base, which we were able to make our "must play, maybe play, and absolutely do not play" playlists. I LOVED that we were able to organize the music in this way, as I was much more at ease for what the evening would look like. For the entire year of our engagement, Tony responded to all emails within an instant. For my father-daughter dance, I had arranged it with my dad that he was to choose a song, and it would be a surprise to me up until the minute it played at our reception. Tony and my dad corresponded back and forth without me knowing, and this was pulled off without any issues! The day of our reception, which was the first time I was even meeting Tony, he put me at immediate ease. He came up to my fiance and I, introduced himself, and quickly ran through how the evening would go. I was worried about the amount of talking via DJ would be taking place (I HATE going to weddings and the DJ acts more like an emcee the entire night, rather than a DJ) but Tony was PERFECT. He checked in with us throughout the night and everything went as planned. Another thing I loved about this company was the way in which songs transitioned into each other. There was not a second where one song would end and silence took place. Each song went straight into the next. Our dance floor was full ALL NIGHT LONG! We also used Extreme Sounds for our reception uplighting. I had been emailing with Tony up until days before our wedding trying to nail down the color I was going for. I sent Tony two pictures of what I was going for, he said he would make it happen, and it was the exact amber color I was envisioning!

I checked all of their websites and/or called for references, and they each never heard of Tony or his company. Tony will also ignore you for days/weeks, even after multiple messages. I highly recommend avoiding this company that is deceptive, lies, and does not respond. RE: Business Owner's Reply- I do not know how you are surprised after ignoring me multiple times when I was ready to move forward with reviewing a contract. You ignored me over 2 weeks and we had a professional relationship. You also gave me 3 Wedding Venues that you said you are "preferred vendor" for, without me asking. I checked all 3 of them and you clearly lied to me. Also, Tony, you response to my review says "some of our reviews tells you that our customers were referred by their venues". This is factually incorrect of your Yelp reviews. I checked all 80 of them. None do. Another lie here.

Before the big day, we were able to plan (music-wise) everything that was important to us, and the packet that you fill out ensures no details are missed. A family friend whose daughter got married at Cog Hill a few years ago used Jon Wise, and they strongly recommended him. So, after we booked our venue, JPW Productions was actually the first vendor we hired! We were really busy with last-minute wedding planning, so we were not able to fill out the music preference questionnaire until a few days before the wedding. (Yes, it was honestly insanity.) Jon was SO patient with us despite how last-minute we are. He has a great personality and didn't stress us out at all on the day of the wedding (even though it was totally within his right to do so because we didn't give him the flash drive of a certain version of a song until the day of!). Even though we filled out a list of songs we wanted played, I gave him creative control to play songs that would get people out on the dancefloor. And he did just that! Even though we only had under 140 people at the wedding, the dancefloor was hopping. We got feedback from guests that they loved the variety in the songs the DJ played. Jon did a great job of checking in with us and making sure the speeches were timed how we wanted them to be. We really appreciated it. Thank you for helping make our wedding such a success!
