I have never been to a Take 5 before, so it's possible this is common at all of these establishments, but I have never been so spoken down to by people who have changed my oil. I may be a woman, but I'm not an idiot. The mechanics stated things that have no validity behind them (I did my research after returning home from the oil change) in an attempt to sell me the more expensive versions of things. I'm glad I stood my ground and didn't give into any of their sales pitches either as replacing commonly-checked parts in oil changes are easy to change yourself (which I have). Their selling point is that they offer warranties - which are only good for a month. That's not worth an extra minimum of $20 per part they're replacing. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

I went to go buy and get a new car battery installed. The woman who was at the Auto Center counter seemed to be in a bad mood. So I quickly gave her the battery I wanted to buy and install, my information and my keys and she told me she'll call me back over through the intercom when they were done. So I walked around Walmart waiting for them to call me over. Luckily I wasn't in any rush to be anywhere because I walked around Walmart for 2 hours just waiting to get called over by the Auto Car Center. I'm not really a car enthusiast but I know putting in a new car battery shouldn't take 2 hours. So after 2 hours of walking around Walmart I decided to go back over to the Auto Center and there was a different person at the counter and I asked him if my car was ready and it was. So I paid the man at the counter and left. I know it was busy since there was only my car and some else's car parked in the Auto Car Center parking lot when I got there and there wasn't any other cars being worked on.

Not only was the quote exactly what I paid, but the work was amazing. This particular vehicle has been at MANY shows, and even went to the dealership with FRESH paint on the wheels. Not only did the car come back working properly, the wheels didn't have ANY new marks on them. In fact, I had taken photos to compare and make sure. Compared to my local Lincoln Dealership, which had my car for 10 minutes to check my door code, and messed up $200 worth of window tint. Long story short, Brian and his crew actually CARE about their customers, customer's vehicles, and customer's wallets. The price of the transmission was 1/3 of what I was quoted by other shops, and after a few hundred miles and many car shows (and burnouts), the transmission still shifts stronger than ever. Brian himself owns a nice classic car, so he understands what it's like to want your baby to be safe. That reason alone is enough to make him my go-to mechanic when things go awry.
