Words can't describe our experience with this ranch!!!…read more Darrell was fantastic to help me coordinate this surprise ride for my sisters birthday and my nephews to go for the first time. Our ride was stunning across the fields and trails on the ranch. And they even picked up my dad in the 4-wheeler to feed the cows while we were horse riding so he felt he could be a part of the day (we had purchased feed for the cows ahead). The entire family enjoyed the ride itself, the guides helped us take photos. Next time we would consider staying in the cabins on the ranch. Thank you a million times, it was worth the further drive for the experience itself!!!

I came here for a wedding and stayed on the property. The driveway was dark, but the cabins were well lit and don't lock. We stayed in one of the 4 identical cabins. The accommodations were nice and had a loft upstairs with two twins. It is a steep ladder and great for kids, but not for adults. The decor was western and featured some taxidermy. This scared some of the little kids we knew at the wedding. The bathroom and main bedroom were a decent size and the kitchenette had a mini fridge and coffee machine, along with the living area with a small TV and chairs/small couch. The grounds were beautiful and was a true farm. The pool was great for the kids and the waterfall made it feel fancy. I loved the open greenery and the animals that roamed, along with the ponies and goats that you could get close to. There is a covered pavilion near the pool that was a hang out spot for our crew. The wedding itself was in the grass next to the reception venue, since it was too wet to have it down in the pasture. The reception venue was large and had high ceilings. The food was pretty good and the two outdoor firepit areas right outside became a place for guests to step out as well. Parking is in a grass lot so beware the shoes you where, especially if it has rained recently.

Note the pictures of how wonderful the farmhouse, grounds and pasture are. Jeanette the proprietor is no-nonsense though! Keep the rules and you're ok. We would do it again! (note- be close friends with the couple you go with - you do go through one bedroom to get to the upstairs bedroom.)

My favorite bed & breakfasts are ones that are a bit more secluded and away from main roads, and Tara Farms was just that. We had the quaint, rustic little cottage to ourselves, and breakfast was already made in our fridge so we didn't need to leave the cottage for anything. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Brenham has a ton of great b&b's but if you want to go somewhere private, comfortable and relaxing this is the place to go! The owners are so nice, but the place is so private you would never know they were there. All I have to say about this place are great things.... The location is perfect for walking around town and enjoying the small town feel. The building has a wonderful mix of the old architecture with new modern design and beautiful art. The rooms are clean, comfortable and I can't stop thinking about how soft the sheets were! Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order omelettes by owner Keith. We had such a great time talking with owners Suzy and Keith and learning more about the area. Can't wait to go back!

There's also plenty of parking for guests. We had our meal catered in and our host at the Main Street house helped with every detail. Everything was decorated, the dishes and flatware were provided, and they served us like royalty! The host cleared tables, served us dessert, cleaned our caterers pans, and even helped us load/unload vehicles. Also arranged fun games for our group (Pictionary and a trivia game)! We had so much fun and will definitely return!!
