Although not their official "storefront", Pecan Patti appears to be making its debut at Smorgasburg…read morethis year and from what I can tell, has been able to generate one of the longest (if not THE longest) lines I've seen! But is it for their pecans? Tasty as the samples I had may be, the answer is no: it was for their mason jar sweet tea! There's nothing like word of mouth to get a buzz going. You're shelling out $4 for a 20 oz cup of lemonade, when suddenly you start to see glimpses of these glorious 1L mason jars of effervescent elixir. First it starts with one. Then you notice another. Then the more you see, the more you have to have it, until you finally muster up the courage to ask someone, "where DID you get that?" They smile, gesture over yonder and say, "it's the longest line that you'll find over THERE", and then part ways, smiling with their magical beverage in hand. And as you make your own way over yonder, you think to yourself, "whoa - that's one long line", because apparently everyone ELSE also finally mustered up the courage to ask someone else, and conveniently did so 5 minutes before you did. So if you do decide to brave the line (which is not as fast as they say it is), you will be rewarded by a mason jar of their ginger, pomegranate, and citrus sweet tea. Tasty stuff and wildly refreshing on a hot Saturday afternoon (don't fret with the large amounts of ice they put in - it melts fast and the base is both warm and pretty concentrated, so needs all that ice), the ginger I would recommend for ginger-lovers (but "too gingery" for those without such inclinations). The pomegranate was very... ummm... "pomegranat-y"; but again, I'm a sucker for ginger. But at the end of the day, was it worth it? Well, the $6 mason jar of sweet tea definitely lasted me much longer than both of the other two $4 20 oz cups of lemonade I bought elsewhere, and you get a nice mason jar out of the deal (which, my wife reminded me, that you can buy for just a buck or two on its own). But given the potential for crazy line-itis, I'd wait until after the crowd settles, or make it a tag team effort where frequent jaunts to visit other stands are made while waiting for your spot to slowly inch itself to the front.

If you live anywhere south of NoHo, chances are you've heard of Clinton St. Baking. It's ALWAYS busy and reservations go very quickly. I've never been there when there wasn't a line of people waiting outside. We were able to get the last brunch reservation the day before. When we arrived, we were seated within 10 minutes. I ordered my favorite brunch dish - Fried Chicken and Waffle! My partner ordered the Maine Blueberry pancakes. I love fried chicken and waffles, and Clinton St. ranks among the highest on my list! The Belgian vanilla buttermilk waffle is light and crisp with a great texture. The chicken, which is soaked in buttermilk overnight, is juicy and tender. The boneless skinless chicken breast is coated with flour and cornmeal which gives a great crisply coating when fried! I drenched it in honey and it was excellent! We were actually supposed to be in Maine, and those blueberry pancakes, which we shared, took us there!! They were so delicious and fluffy, with a light crunchy exterior.....but the 'piece de resistance' were the BLUEBERRIES! The berries were not only layered in a heavenly compote on top of the pancakes, but they're also layered inside! They're in a class by themselves and a must order. It's a bit challenging getting a reservation but well worth it!! It's one of the best breakfast-brunch spots in the city!

Lots of windows and kinda picturesque at the right table. I like the groovy lighting. Kinda reminiscent of fibbage. Always getting refills on water and coffee. Excellent service. The food was good. I personally like an English muffin with my eggs Benedict. The latke added some richness. Otherwise, pretty textbook example of an eggs Benedict. Fried chicken sandwich was tasty. Lots of mayonnaise and crispy fries. No real distinctness to the dishes but pretty decent all-around. Personally, I think that it was a tad expensive. Vibes were good, though.

He was very sweet, very informative, and most importantly, honest! He wasn't sure what was in one of the cocktails because the ingredients recently changed, so instead of making something up, he went out of his way to go find out exactly what was in it! This was important to me because I've been to places where the servers either told me they don't know or they don't even offer to find the ingredients. For our appetizer, we ordered wings which came on the bone. We did request only the drumsticks, which they were able to accommodate. These wings were absolutely delicious, probably top five wings that I've ever had! We also ordered the chicken egg rolls, these were good as well, the dip that came with it was super delicious! For entrees, we ordered the mac & cheese, and the rack of ribs. Holy cow both were SO GOOD! The ribs melted in your mouth! The Mac and cheese was really good as well! For dessert we ordered the devils food chocolate cake and oooo my goodness how AMAZING! We also got 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. For cocktails we ordered a Guinness and the Tropical Storm. The tropical storm drink has banana liqueur which I loved but it's very strong so make sure u like banana! Overall, I cannot wait to return to this place again! There are so many menu options and I want to try each and every one of the desserts! Lots of parking as well! Dress code: I was glad they accommodated us after a beach trip, but I felt underdressed. It's a nicer place!
