Even on Father's…read moreDay, the entire shop was moving and grooving with a line of customers and so many delicious looking options to choose from. My friend has been raving about this place for years, so I was excited to finally experience it for myself. I enjoyed a very large iced coffee and a gluten-free bagel with egg and cheese. The staff explained that the gluten free bagel was not made in house and would take a little extra time, which I appreciated. While waiting, I was honestly impressed by how smoothly everything ran. From bagels coming out of the oven to the sandwich assembly line, the team worked like a well oiled machine. Everything we saw looked delicious and what we had definitely lived up to the hype. We even came back before leaving town to bring home goodies because, as my friend says, the bagels just are not the same anywhere else!

There are lots of different types of customers coming in and out, which I think is always a good sign. I thought the bagels were very good, and I have never seen so many different types of spread, including a cookie monster cream cheese. They really slab on any kind of spread, so bring an extra container if you want to siphon off any of the spread for later. (This is what I wish I had done with the whitefish spread!) They're also are a lot of sweet pastries, which looked really appealing. It feels a teeny bit sterile, but I won't fault it for that. I suppose that also means it felt very clean and tidy.

The store is huge. Lots of parking in the lot. The store is clean with lots of great decor and Italian background paintings. The staff were all friendly and helpful. When I went, there was someone singing live as he walked around the store. They have tons of Italian specialty items that are both prepared or boxed. They have a great pizza shop, deli, salumeria, hot food buffet and many more great sections. Everything we tried was delicious. We bought from the pizza shop, deli and some fresh pasta and sauce. They are a little pricy, but the food is high quality. You get what you pay for. I will not mind taking a 45 minute drive every couple of weeks to enjoy their amazing food.

We looked at all the dishes, and man, many decisions. I wouldn't mind sampling within a few days or even once a week if I lived close. For eating in, tables are provided just after the checkout, located straight ahead towards the windows. There were no issues with customer service as things moved along. The store looks clean and organized, and it is eye-appealing.

He and his friend both enjoyed the food (although he made sure to mention that it wasn't nearly as good as Katz's, which I completely agree with). He thought that the restaurant itself was clean and nice enough. But then the fun part happened. He tried to tip 20% on his lunch bill, asking the waiter to round to the total from the $50 check to $60 total The waiter decided that meant adding a $60 TIP to the order and running the credit card at $110 for their lunch. Simple mistake, maybe. We apparently will never know, because Liebman's has never called back after two different attempts to speak with management to rectify the situation. We were told that there was no manager there twice, but assured that we would receive a call back shortly. Nothing, apparently. Is Liebman's an establishment that targets the elderly and figures that they can get away with it because sometimes people don't look at what they're signing. Who knows? Not me, because no-one from Liebman's decided that it was important to return multiple calls to figure that out. So, IF you go to this place, please check your bill and then check it again, because once you leave the restaurant, they seem to have no desire to explain why they charged you a 120% tip (or even attempt to keep you as a customer) Bonus fact: I waited three weeks to post this to give them every chance to do the right thing and have a manager reply.
