Had another good meal at Laguna-- not pictured were the very good margaritas. Always a good place to go to if you want Mexican food in a quieter atmosphere.

Stopped in here after getting a massage. The restaurant is in the back of the little market in the front. Everyone was wearing masks and the tables were socially distanced. We ordered the traditional and mango margaritas which were awesome! Our waitress brought out fresh chips and pico de gallo to enjoy. My friend had the chicken tacos which had so much flavor. My steak tostadas were delicious but I squeezed a little like for extra flavor. The hot sauce she gave us to try was super spicy so I only used a drop. It was a cute place and delicious authentic Mexican. Will definitely come back!

I wouldn't have thought that a "grocery store" would have such a good little restaurant attached to it. It's an easy place to miss as you're driving through Mahopac but it's definitely worth stopping in for a meal. Good authentic Mexican food with nice portions at a very fair price. There's a tiny little bar and they probably make a nice cocktail and margaritas. I opted for one of my favorite Mexican beverages, horchata. My "bandeja Latina" was a satisfying plate of steak, chorizo, egg, avocado, plantain, a slab of pork (don't know how else to describe it) with rice & beans, and soft tortillas. I shared it with my toddler and it was still a lot for me on an empty stomach. I loved the green hot sauce. I will definitely be going back.

In my previous review, I said that Laguna was technically not a restaurant. Well, now they are! They did an awesome job with the atmosphere and decorating of their new restaurant space. The food is still delicious, and it's still my favorite place in town.

Laguna is a hidden gem... Authentic & REAL Mexican food. The food is fresh and beyond flavorful! It is technically a grocer but in the back they have a full restaurant and bar. It is deceiving from the outside but it is the most authentic & fresh cuisine in the area. You MUST get the chicken and cheese chimichanga, Enchilada Suiza & the entree size jumbo quesadilla! Also their tres leches is a MUST!

Went here for lunch and was very surprised by the delicious pork burrito with beans and rice. It was very filling and came with a green hot sauce that was just right for a bite of heat. Wife got a veggie quesadilla (not on lunch menu) and when it came out "Wow!" it was big. She was very happy with the flavor and special Mexican cheese, and used the hot sauce. Many more interesting items on the menu to try.

This place is amazing. FINALLY found legit Mexican in Mahopac. As the other reviews state it's a restaurant and a grocery store so just keep an open mind if you decide to sit and stay to eat. I had the chicken tostada and it was so refreshing to actually have a red sauce that packed heat and flavor. My husband got steak and loved it. I'm planning on going back to actually grocery shop some since I noticed they had some good authentic options that way too. Run don't walk you won't regret it.

The margaritas and friendly service is awesome. It truly is a hidden gem behind a grocery for real authentic Mexican food!

This grocery/restaurant has great authentic tacos. I would recommend walking across the street and enjoying your food at the park.

The best, the only place to have a Mexican food in Mahopac. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can't go wrong here.

Having had unpleasant experiences with other nearby Acme supermarkets, I diligently went through the milks to make sure they don't expire the next day as had been the case elsewhere. Like the other branches, they did have a rAther large doubLe isle of novelty Valentine gift items. Entrance walkway appeared dimly lit/gloomy. Cashier appeared automated!

All the while I'm thinking, aren't other people out there better trained than me that are usually hired to do this? I put in a digital coupon item, and the coupon doesn't save me the three dollars it said it would when I clipped it. So now I have to wait for a human after all! Who'd have thunk it? So I show the coupon and in the small print it is for pick-up or delivery only. I said great, here I am ready to pick it up. No she says it must be done in advance from your phone. Ok I said (since I am standing there with the ap open) "if you prefer, I'll order the pick up and you can walk me to the car with it". No she says, "It is too late today to place the order." My response, "isn't that time restriction based on the need for Acme employees to have the time and availability to A) read the request, B) select the item, C) bring the item to the front, D) bring the item to the car? I've literally bipased all of those issues for you, and saved me a trip back tomorow, a disappointed kid at dinner tonight, the three dollars your app promised me, and a bunch of work tomorrow for an ACME employee. Nope. So I have her void the item. Here I am driving home with the one item I came in for (the only not brown ground beef I saw), and a bunch of fruit; all the while wondering, "how is it there is such an incredible difference between the ACME in Mahopac and the one in Yorktown Heights in the Triangle Center?

I tried to find an official complaint line, but they do not have email, web, or chat input at all, so I'll vent here in public instead. I was checking out with just two lines open (on a Sunday afternoon), and there were four in line at each register, so I queued in one of the lines that was clearly open, with its light on. But when I got up to the register, the cashier yelled at me rudely that his register was closed. A courteous cashier would turn off his light, and service every one in the line at that point, but not this cashier. He turned off his light and rudely told me to get at the end of the now ten people waiting in the only other line. Eventually the store opened a second register with no attempt to manage the now long upset line, and in the resultant drag race to the new line, of course I ended up at the end of the longest line. The cashiers seemed to think this was funny. In all, it took me some thirty minutes to check out, while being insulted and laughed at in the process. This is no way to treat customers. Even Walmart treats me better than this, so they will be getting all my business now.
