I must say I had a blast! I was originally not going to go because of the 50 minute distance from metro Atlanta, but we ended up piling a bunch of folks in the truck and headed there. Obviously we didn't go during peak times because it was a Wednesday at 8:30PM most people like going closer to Halloween. We wanted to beat the crowds and really experience fear... (CRAZY RIGHT) There was tons of parking in front and behind the venue. We bought our tickets online but you can also buy them when you arrive. They were super cheap and had cool add on's like "Sacrifice" which allows the monsters to touch, blindfold, tie your hands together,shock you, put bugs on you etc. You can also add "Zombie Kill" which will put you in a real game zone where you are being attacked by zombies and you 150 rounds in a machine gun to kill the freaks. COOL RIGHT? I don't want to give too much away but I will say I was scared to the point that I wanted to exit several times but didn't . I had so much fun screaming and we were in there for what seemed like forever, maybe 30 minutes. There were several different stories, a diner, a house, abandoned hospital and a clown house which was probably the scariest to me. I felt like I was on the Walking Dead everything seemed so real! I also freaked out when I touched the maggots. Whew it was just so much. If you are not into all the touching you can opt of the sacrifice ticket and only pay 17 bucks for the 4 houses. Because we paid online we only did the 17 dollar tickets but when we were there they said we could add on for 5 dollars which turned out to be a much better deal! The staff was great and if they noticed you were freaking out they would lay off just a little. There were greeters everywhere and opportunities to exit if it became too much for you to handle. Over all it was definitely worth the drive and the money it exceeded my expectations and I would totally do it again next year. It was much better than Netherworlds and the wait was maybe 15 minutes. I've been to several haunted houses in metro Atlanta over the years (Netherworld, Containment, Chambers of Horror, Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse, etc.) and 13 Stories is the first one to make me sweat. I came out of the last haunt dripping sweat, in fact, and I wasn't expecting that at all. It's no wonder USA Today named 13 Stories one of the most extreme haunted houses in America. The final haunt is called "Sacrifice" and it's for ages 18 and up only. Like other haunted houses, a waiver must be signed. If any haunted house needs a waiver, it's this one. Our group of four went to 13 Stories on Thursday night, October 8, 2015 around 8pm. We purchased a Groupon deal for $65 which allowed all of us admission to 13 Stories' five haunted attractions: Haunted House, Ward B, Zombie Alley, Clown Haus, and Sacrifice. We used a promo code to get an additional 25% off, so the Groupon ultimately cost us only $48.75 (or $12.18 per person). It was a fantastic deal because the regular price for all five haunts is $35 per person. We did, however, have to use the Groupon by October 15 (https://www.groupon.com/deals/13-stories-haunted-house-7), which was fine with us because it meant shorter lines. There was actually almost no line, which was great. Of the haunted attractions I've been to in Georgia, I found the staff at 13 Stories to be the friendliest. A lot of them greet you with smiles on their faces and want you to have a good time. I've encountered some pretty surly folks at the other places. This year, 2015, is 13 Stories' 33rd year (!) of existence. This is its 2nd year in Newnan. Before Newnan, the attraction was located in Kennesaw. From what we were told, in Kennesaw, the attraction was located in a 3,000 square foot space. In Newnan, they have a massive 54,000 square foot space. Talk about upgrade. I was impressed with the scale and production quality of the haunts. In terms of set pieces and props, I still think Netherworld is the gold standard in Atlanta when it comes to haunted houses. However, Netherworld feels more mainstream and commercialized whereas 13 Stories feels more independent and handcrafted. It just seems to have more of a "charm" to it. I couldn't help but notice multiple similarities between the two though, from specific scares to the size and setup of certain rooms and animatronics. You walk through the first four haunts in succession with a small group. In our case, the four of us walked together. I loved the sheer variety of environments and scares. I don't want to go into too much detail because I don't want to spoil anything. I will say that *a lot* of what you've seen in horror movies comes to life in various rooms at 13 Stories. Many of the props are fantastic and I am a big fan of the different, eerie settings and situations. Some of the actors do a terrific job. Others, not so much. There are plenty of effective (and non-effective) jump scares and a fair share of loud noises. Note there is fog/smoke of varying degrees and that may affect or bother some. I enjoyed the first four haunts more than the fifth haunt, Sacrifice. Sacrifice is a different kind of haunt. If you want an extreme haunted house experience, I recommend it, but only if you're okay with being touched. Yes - in Sacrifice, the actors can actually touch you. If you plan to go to Sacrifice, please do not read the following spoiler section because it's best to go into it knowing nothing. The unexpected is more scary! If you'd like to learn more about Sacrifice read on. ********** BEGIN SPOILERS ********** One of the big twists to Sacrifice is you're blindfolded. You line up single-file with your group, blindfolded, and are led by the arms into the haunt. From there, all sorts of weird and wacky s*** happens to you and your group. I believe the haunt is called Sacrifice because someone (or some people...) get sacrificed. You may be dragged off away from your group, alone and at the mercy of the insane crazies. You'll be pushed, pulled, poked, prodded, yelled at, and even shocked! It can be a stressful and intense experience, hence why you sign a waiver. There were times I was dragged by my shirt, pushed towards walls (I actually hit my head against a wall, but it wasn't bad), and pushed a couple times to the point where I almost tripped and fell. Needless to say, you have to be careful. They certainly keep you on your toes! Oh yes, and you may get wet too. ********** END SPOILERS ********** At the exit, there's a gift shop and a haunted shooting gallery, which is kind of cool. It costs $2 per game or $5 for three games. Up to four or five players can play at a time. We played a round which lasted 45 seconds. The guys we talked to at the gift shop were nice. If you check-in to 13 Stories using the Yelp mobile app, you can get a free sticker from the gift shop. In the end, we had a good time at 13 Stories. We thought the Groupon deal and trip to Newnan from Atlanta (about 40+ miles, 50 minutes) was worth it. read more

Fun but not scary is my summary as it relates to the Black Ops package. I guess the 1 hr drive out here didn't satisfy my definition of a haunted house. The bf bought The Black Ops package thru Groupon, and it was still $40 so imagine the reguar price you'd have to pay... Fun: You get to hold real AK's and shoot (not blanks or anything but with light activated collars) at the monsters/clowns/creatures of the night. Only half of the course allows you to do so and the other half is the regular stroll thru. Not scary: The pathway wasn't dark enough so you were able to see almost everything coming at you. I do admit some of the auto electronics did startle me, but that was about it. The decor was most certainly creepy and scary, and the course was long enough, but it seriously wasn't scary. The zombie apocalypse shoot saved the day! The website oversold this place for me. It is not actually 13 stories, you don't have to sign a waiver to get in, the actors don't touch you, and there are no live animals. It's a pretty standard haunted house with good decor and animatronics. The actors were good also. Clown Haus was a walkthrough with actors averaging age 15 with clown makeup on. If you're afraid of clowns then I could see how it would be scary but for me it was just some kids with triangles painted on their faces walking around saying "hi". But the zombie apocalypse, let me tell you. That. Was. Fun. It's like laser tag except you don't get shot and you get to kill zombies. I would have done that for another hour if we could! If I go back (which I probably won't, Newnan is a drive for us) I would only do the haunted house and apocalypse part. The haunted house purely for the nostalgic aspect but the apocalypse for the fun! read more

Clearly not on par with my favorite haunt of the season, but they're trying. I went late in the season, Read second to last day - they close on Nov 8, and there were hardly anyone in the parking lot at all, no line to worry about, no people out to scare me, but that was Ok. It was a chilly night and I was there with friends. We were loaded into the first room, and watched the demon video, which was amusing. Our host actor had his timing down well and his energy was good fro our group being so late in the evening. The first house is rather large and spread out, the effects are from Spirit but they're well maintained and over all they pull off what they need to accomplish. There were plenty of screams from two of my party. The weeping angel in the cemetery is an elaborate peice that I loved. The 2nd house, the insane asylum was filled with actors who clearly loved what they were doing. They were bouncing off the walls, getting in your face and in general doing the job right. They tried for me, but this is what -I- do, and I don't react except to give it back in some form and I am not a target... so they moved on to lower hanging fruit, my friends. And those screams were so much more tasty. The third house, the 3d house, this was quite well done. Not staffed well, but the art? It's incredible. My 3d classes were ... um.. a bit old, I could not see anything out of the lenses but smudges as they had been used before, but I didn't really need them to appreciate the painting in this place. it was -that- good. There is one effect that is to -die- for. The final house, Sacrifice really is worth the money. It's all about trust, and here they tend to break it. Yes, you sigh a waiver, yes, they touch you.. yes, you get separated from your group. One of my party came out of it crying, shaken up, but me? I loved it. It was an exercise in WTF. I would - and did - do it again. I really enjoyed talking to the people afterward, there;s room for improvement, they've got places to go, and they know it, but hey.. keep reaching for the stars, they might get there some day! read more

I read the reviews of this place and was a little skeptical about it but went ahead and bought the tickets and let's just say it's 100% worth it. It doesn't look like too much when you pull up but right when you get in line the fun begins. We didn't end up waiting long at all probably 15-20 minutes. The entire staff was great. The actors don't touch you due to COVID but they do get close enough to scare you!!! It took approximately 30 minutes or so to walk through and every time you thought the coast was clear there came another one!!! Great place for all ages if you enjoy being frightened. read more

Paid $40 for a Groupon for black ops passes. The actors try very hard and I appreciate that but I'm just not afraid of clowns. A few of the animatroinics had their wires exposed so you could see where they would move. The building is a old school and has a lot of potential but everything was too bright. You don't even have to wait for your eyes to adjust. Some of the zombies were wearing white and it was obvious they were coming. I had the guns and they didn't make the experience any better. They give you 300 shots and all you need is 50. The shooting was also really easy. You just have to aim in their general direction and the zombies would fall. I like ambiance. I suggest they darken the place, add some weird smells, calibrate the guns so it's not as easy, and add more fog. If you're a fan of loud noises and jump scares then you might like this place. Pros Decent actors. Large school. Cons Too bright. Would I come here again? Nah. I'm not a huge fan of haunted houses so I only went because of the Groupon. read more

Ehhhh... First off we went based purely off of rumors. It's not really 13 stories...theres only one little scenario that makes you feel like you're going up an elevator. No snakes. No dogs. Didnt get pushed. No shocking. We went around 8PM and the creepy kid actors outside were cute. Once we entered I think we came across MAYBE 6 live actors..MAYBE. We basically walked through the entire building without anyone jumping out to spook us. We also kept running into the group ahead of us so we knew what to expect...the three times there were things to expect. The setup was really nice but all the actors were like...on lunch break or something. We also paid the extra $10 for the Sacrifice. NOT WORTH IT. You're basically playing ring around the rosie blindfolded. A big circle of walking around an random people touching you. Was only like 5 minutes. read more

Myself and a couple of friends went here, purchasing the 13 stories, zombie Apocalypse laser shooting, and the hell elevator. We had huge expectations and fear walking into this after hearing nothing but amazing reviews and terrifying encounters, just to walk through everything in 30 minutes with not even a tremble. A two year old could go through this. There was a horrific shortage of staff and the zombie kill experience was absolutely upsetting to see only two staff members participating. Oh and the Hellevator was a shaking box on hydraulics defeinoty false advertising. Definitely not worth the purchase. Go to Nether World instead. read more

We drove well over an hour to get here expecting it to be a good haunt. Instead we get there and went through the haunted house in 20 minutes. Very disappointed in the overall haunt and was not very many actors and many of the rooms were just empty. Would not recommend coming. read more

Here's our 2018 update. A lot of of my last review still stands but there are a few things that made me decide to remove a star. What drew us in this year was the Two Chainz Haunted Trap House. We decided to check it out because to be honest as far as haunted houses go it's a fairly novel idea. The facade is fun and the pink hearse outside makes you think you're going to experience something different. Unfortunately that's not really the case. The house is 95% the exact same s last year with the addition of Two Chainz music throughout and some mildly questionable racism. Firstly the music, loved it. The idea of an actual soundtrack to a haunt beyond creepy atmospheric music is pretty cool. I wish other could do this. Imagine creeping by along to Rob Zombie in your favorite haunt. TheTrap House itself if embarrassingly short and not a haunt. We walked past cops and pot plants and junkies. It was more spectacle than haunt. It happens abruptly and is over just as fast. I feel like it should have been more with how much it was hyped up. The zombie shooting area was a blast. Swat teaming around corners and shooting zombies is so much fun. It makes you realize no one would ever be able to get a headshot on The Walking Dead. It's a lot harder than you think. Finally the biggest issue with 13 stories is the smell. After going, our car, clothes and sinuses wreaked of mildew, dankness and mold. It was really hard to get rid of. I noticed it last year and it's a thousand times worse this year. I actually worry about the health of the performers. All in all I feel like I've seen everything they have to offer and probably won't be back for a year or two. read more

I find the sudden influx of 5 star views-- especially by people with only 1 review-- to be very suspect. (This includes the 5 star review where the guy proclaims standing in line was "so much fun".) I was pretty hyped to try this haunted house, but I was ultimately disappointed. I knew I made a mistake when I walked into the very first room, and a 'scary video' of a demon welcomed us to our doom. The video was extremely loud, and the room smelled like cat urine. That was probably the scariest aspect of the night. The website portrayed a very professional and elaborate event with high production values. The reality is quite different. (A more representative website would have been hosted on geocities, replete with sparkling stars and pumpkin images.) All in all, I feel the haunted house was a pretty big rip off. It's what I would have expected from a group of high school students that decided to put some effort into making a haunted house for a school project. In terms of cost to value, I wouldn't pay more than $10 for it. I would not recommend it, especially if you have to drive more than 10 minutes to get there. read more

Possibly the best Haunted house outside the perimeter and definitely the best haunted house on the Southside of ATL period! With a four pack house ticket you will spend about an hour with pitch perfect performances at each theme. Modern but still a nice throw back to a classic scares as well. Can't go wrong coming here, unless you go right at the cemetery on your head be it! read more

If I could review this without giving any stars, I would. My husband and I tried this place with another couple because it's so close to home. For starters, I'll be the first one to tell you that I am a WHIMP and scare easily. That being said, this place is not scary in the least bit. There were hardly any real life actors, let alone the standard jump-scares. Some of the scenes were cool, but I'm not paying money to look at a room set up. Please, so not waste your money. Next time I'll just make the drive to netherworld... They may need you like cattle but at least you get the mess scared out of you! read more

I give 13 Stories one star for the amazing job they did with marketing/promoting. Do not waste your money. It was NOT scary at all. This is a Haunted House for ages 2-6 years old. It's not 13 floors to this haunted house. It's suppose to be 13 stories as in 13 tall tales. Meaning each of the 13 areas is suppose to tell a story. The pink trap house theme is only there for marketing purposes. Not enough actors. A lot of toy props. The sacrifice room where you are blind folded was just a dark "sauna" where you're bumping into walls that has a little shocking effect. It was not scary at all. The reviews I've read where some say it was the best experience ever had to be paid or compensated reviews for marketing purposes as well. One of the worst experiences I've had in a LONG time. They're trying out this new "virtual line" idea where you get a text on your phone when it's time to go to the front of the line. This obviously did not work well when several hundred people are waiting. We got there around 8:45 PM and immediately noticed there was total confusion over how the process worked. We waited 2.5 hours until we got a text to go to the front of the line, only to find out that that meant to go to the back of a long line. That one took us another 30 minutes to get through. Then we finally got inside AND another line. Another 30 minutes. We ended up not even entering until around 12:30. The haunted house itself was the worst part. I don't even mind waiting that long to get inside if it's worth it. But this haunted house was pathetic, and I do scare somewhat easily. There were maybe 5-10 actors in the whole place. Some I saw were just sitting in a chair, didn't even bother to get up. We also ended up running into people in the house and had to wait in another line, which also killed the experience. All in all, horrible waste of a night. Don't ruin your night like we did by going here. read more

This was the worse haunted house I have ever visited. Social distance wasn't the issue. It just wasn't scary. To many lights on. More props then scariness. 1-10. The one is only because we didn't wait to get in due to virtual line. read more

Tons of fun! Staff is great and the whole thing is cool. We brought our son and his friends and we all did the VIP version which allows you to shoot the zombies with simulated AR15 rifles while you walk the course. We did not do the 18 and up section due to having 14 year old boys with us but it sounds fun. read more

We showed up right when they opened. First impression, really cool building. The port-a johns were gross. People went to the bathroom on the actual toilets rather than in them. They were clearly not cleaned very often. Then the lady scanning tickets took my phone out of my hand. I understand that it might have been cool to do that last year but we are in a pandemic and I don't really need her germs all over my phone. The clown actor outside was just standing in line telling people they shouldn't wear masks. When we got into the attraction, the very first actor in the first room followed us and told said "if you are scared, don't worry, all the actors quit." Why would you tell a paying customer that?! All the actors after that just said "how are you? I like your shirt!" Like, thanks. But scare me... I understand it's a weird year, I tried to keep that in mind. So I hope it can get better for them in the future. I'm glad it was only $15, especially since we drove 5 hours. Again, really cool building. read more

It was ok. Wish there were more actors than animatronics. I'm usually the girl that hides her face and clings to my guy the whole way threw, but 5 mins into the house I was walking solo even leading the way most times. Great for kids or teens! read more

Great time family fun. A good scare and pre game fun just in time for Halloween. I like the fact you get to do different scenarios. My family and myself all liked different aspects of the whole experience like the haunted house did justice for me, the kids enjoyed zombie survival, and the girls enjoyed sacrifice.
