I had a hot water issue for about 3 days upon move in, maintenance was able to turn my hot water heater up and now my water is been STEAMING hot. There have been some elevator issue on one out of three elevators. Guest parking hasn't been an issue because there are open street parking on the rear of the building with no time limit (granted, the guest will have to enter through the parking garage) . The concierge at the front desk are very friendly and easy to talk to. There's always someone in the leasing office to address any concerns. So far I have had a pleasant experience, but I will update this post when that changes. lol!

I wanted to like this place so bad! The pictures online looked amazing and I could not wait to…read morecheck it out. The apartments are not in the most glamorous looking area. I scheduled and confirmed a tour but when I showed up there was no one there. I waited 10 mins over my scheduled time. Turns out the leasing agent got stuck in traffic. I got a call later on that day from management saying that the leasing agent got held up at another location (so the stories didn't match). A random staff member gave me a tour of one apartment and it was nice but did not have a lot of closet space. I felt like my time was not being appreciated so I left. I got zero communication from the leasing agent (to say sorry for the inconvenience) afterwards and they even sent me an email a day later saying "hope you enjoyed your tour" LOL

I'm still in the Processing Phase so far as it relates to renting a Studio Apartment from Maple…read moreGardens. From the second I stepped foot into Maple Gardens I knew right away, without filling out anything or seeing the Studio outright, that I could see myself living there for years to come. From the Security to the Grounds itself, everything is as pictured. I was able to tour the Studio (Deluxe) and was even more fascinated by how clean and spacious it actually was. In my opinion, all the 1 star reviews are clearly from disgruntled tenants who are either not following the rules or people who are expecting services and experiences that go beyond anything humanly possible. Everyone is nice from the Staff (who stay in constant contact with me, not once did I have to reach out for anything) to even some of the people (future neighbors, hopefully) on the Grounds that I got to speak with. I can absolutely see myself living here as this would be my very first apartment! The rental process has been easy and self explanatory, also seems fairly quick which is appreciated. Once I get approved (hopefully) I intend on updating this review with my overall experience.

I've been a resident here since 2021, so I've seen this building change over the years. When I…read morefirst moved in, it was a decent place to live, mainly because of the convenient location and easy access to the express bus into New York City. Unfortunately, the quality of living has steadily gone downhill. Management removed the resident gym because they claimed it wasn't being used enough. Instead, they replaced it with a daycare that residents were never asked about. There was no survey or input from the people who actually live here. The building continues to market itself as a luxury property, but it doesn't offer the amenities that most luxury buildings have. There's no resident lounge to entertain guests, no outdoor grilling area, no pool, and no real community space where residents can comfortably relax. There is one outdoor seating area, but it's often uncomfortable to use because of teenagers and adults hanging around. I've personally felt that residents can be harassed or made to feel unwelcome there, so it's not the relaxing amenity it's supposed to be. Another major issue is parking. Daycare parents are frequently allowed to park in residents' assigned spots while dropping off or picking up their children. Residents pay for those spaces, and it shouldn't be acceptable for them to be occupied by non-residents. Management also switched the building's entry system from physical IDs to a mobile app and key fobs. Residents originally received ID cards, but now they're charging $50 for a key fob. Many newer apartment buildings provide key fobs as part of moving in, so charging current residents for basic building access feels unnecessary and unfair. It also feels like residents are constantly being charged for one thing after another. While I understand that some fees are part of apartment living, when you're paying luxury prices, you expect to see improvements and added value. Instead, amenities have been taken away while new fees continue to appear. The leasing office is another source of frustration. Getting a straight answer is almost impossible because every staff member seems to give different information. It's like playing a game of telephone--one person tells you one thing, another tells you something completely different, and then the outcome doesn't match what you were originally told. Consistency and communication are seriously lacking. Security and cleanliness have also become concerns. It's common to see children running through the hallways, pulling on apartment doorknobs, leaving messes behind, and even damaging residents' Ring cameras. These issues don't seem to be addressed consistently. I'm sharing this because I think prospective renters deserve to know what they're getting into. Based on my experience living here since 2021, I would not recommend this property if you're looking for a true luxury living experience. I honestly believe management is trying to compete with newer luxury buildings without investing in the amenities, resident experience, and customer service that make those buildings worth the price. I also hope management accepts this as constructive feedback rather than retaliating against residents for expressing honest concerns.
