Evening Special. Trout stuffed with crab served with savory grits and a lemony herb sauce.

Absolutely Fabulous! The service was excellent. The food was delicious. We loved the diversity in our dishes. We tried a nightly special of crab-stuffed Trout and blue cheese-crusted streak. They were so good! The sides of savory grits and chorizo creamed corn were stand-out dishes too!

We shared two outstanding dishes: the Turkey Melt paired with irresistible Homemade Kettle Chips and the BBQ Bourbon Swiss Burger accompanied by Fries. The exceptional quality of both plates has left me highly anticipating our next culinary adventure.

The restaurant is beautifully and thoughtfully designed. It was super clean and the staff was great. The brunch was excellent. I had the eggs Benedict with grits and my husband had the steak and eggs. Both were out of this world. I can't wait to come back and try something else from the menu.

Slaty dry short ribs, mashed potatoes drenched with horseradish...don't waste your money

So we original we drove up to King Mountain to go to Thai Hut but they decided to close early so we made our way to 133 West. We were existed to try this place cause it was recommended by a friend. So we walk in and decide to sit at the bar; which we tend to do. Bartender is super friendly, but we wanted Manhattans, she starts to make them but realizes they ran out of sweet vermouth....ok no problem "do you have blue cheese stuffed olives, for Martinis?" .... "No we don't"....ok so i just do a Jack and Coke. We order appetizers, Korean Ribs and Fried Green Tomatoes...ribs came out cold and under cooked and the green tomatoes were nasty and basically were no tomato.....mini tomatoes maybe. For entree i ordered the Short ribs with mashed potatoes and my partner had Butternut squash ravioli. The short ribs were salty as hell, dry, and disgusting and the mashed potatoes were just full of overwhelming horseradish. I didn't even finish it and through it out when i got home......my partner ravioli was under cooked and had no flavor at all. The ambiance was ok, could use a little uniqueness. Very cold environment and needs an interior designer or something. What a waste of money.

Good food, but limited menu. Confusing ambiance - looks like a cafe or fast food, but is a full-service restaurant.

Excellent menu and great service. Fun dinner date location after an afternoon exploring Kings Mountain and before a concert across the way.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food was very disappointing. I ordered burger steak with slaw, mashed potatoes, and gravy, while my sons ordered hamburgers. The meat in both meals felt extremely crumbly, almost as if it contained a large amount of breadcrumbs and very little actual meat. The flavor was far from what you would expect from quality beef and honestly tasted like everything except real meat. The mashed potatoes and gravy were average at best, and even the coffee tasted extremely weak, almost like flavored water. The only item I genuinely liked was the coleslaw. The wait staff were polite and genuinely tried to make the experience pleasant, which I appreciate. However, people primarily visit restaurants for the food, and sadly that was the weakest part of the experience at Small Town Kitchen in Cherryville. On a scale from 0-10, where 10 is excellent, I would honestly give the experience a 1, mainly because the coleslaw was decent. I hope the restaurant improves the quality of its meat and overall food preparation because the location itself has potential.

Shelby, NC. Where do I begin. I've been traveling through this town for many years as it was always…read morea travel connector to both sets of grandparents who lived in Forest City as I was growing up. Never ever considered stopping for food here because getting through the city on 74 is tough enough as time seems to stand still here because no one, and I mean no one is moving quickly here. As the current situation is Shelby is now the half way point from my our home to where my daughter and grandson moved 1 1/2 hours away. Tuesday night we made the trek to pick up the grand for a sleep over, meeting half way at The Creekside Clock for dinner. In the entry way there is a sign stating that food is made to order so please be patient. OK. We got plenty of patience. Walk up to the counter and place your order, HUH??? Can I take a look at a menu? Sure, put on your glasses and read from the menu board. Sorry! I wasn't prepared for that. Menu looks great. There is a lot of variety and daily specials. We placed 3 separate orders, probably the first mistake as we were all sitting together, just not paying together. I am not a fan of paying before you get your food. Tip? What am I tipping? We sit with our little numbers on sticks at our table and a waitress comes to review our tickets and bring our drinks. So far so good. Ok now we wait. I can see the kitchen window and there are 6 heads in view and they appear to be super busy prepping and getting out the food. Apparently that wasn't the case. First order arrives, baked potato and chicken sandwich looks yum! A side salad was also delivered. A good bit later my meatloaf and fiancé's combination seafood plate and the grands shrimp. All looks good, alas, there is nothing on my plate that is even warm. I Asked if they had a microwave they could reheat my plate, it was that cold. Found out also that the chick sandwich and potato that was delivered first was not warm either. Still waiting on a steak and steak tips at this point everyone else was pretty much done with their food. The steak was good, again the potato cold. I am really shocked by all of the good Google reviews for this place. Although the menu looks nice. For them to boast that food is made to order, and not even serve the food warm along with the horrible execution, this was a one and done for us!
