I have enjoyed this restaurant for years. But here lately their prices have skyrocketed. Last week I got breakfast for my lady and myself. My lady had two eye and cheese biscuits with grits. I had Two scramble eggs with grits and toast. This hit me for 32.06. We had the same thing at Alis the day before and it was only $22.00. So even though CC has great food, I'll be staying away from them for a while. read more

20 minutes. You will get your food in 20 min. When I read other posts about how long food took, I timed it. I don't go anywhere in a hurry. That said, it was 1600 on a Wednesday with 8 table on the room. 3 waitresses. Everyone's food took 20 min. Road trip rules. Had the waitress suggest my meal. She said the burgers and the pizza. I ordered both. No, I didn't eat all of both. I wanted leftovers for the road. The burger. No toast on the bun or char on the meat. Surprisingly, a solid burger showing. Meat seasoned just enough, toppings were fresh and in good ratio. NOTE: all burgers are Al a cart. You will pay for your side. Overheard another fist timer that didn't read the menu close enough. He took it well, but of course the bill was larger than he thought it would be. Pizza. Fresh dough, delicate toppings. As in they don't overload the pizza. I'd say this kitchen understands portions and presentation. Also, rare to find a place that make a good burger and a good pizza. It's loosing a star for service. They need a dash more training. Courteous and friendly, just lacking follow through. My waitress checked on me 2 times in the 20 minutes I was eating, but disappeared when I needed a box. Waited 10 minutes, then walked my pizza to the counter to pay and get a to go container. The 8 top next to me. The waitress came back out after taking their order to ask if they wanted their cheese ranch fries early, as an appetizer. They said. Yes. Please. Kind of you. You guessed it. No fry appetizer. Food came out at the 25 minute mark. A good stop. Just need the time. If you are in the road and in a hurry, call your order ahead. Otherwise. Bright m, clean place to get a roadside meal. Met some friends here on a Friday morning. Not busy at all. Only one or two other tables while we were there. Coffee was good and was brought out promptly. Waitress took order and left. Everyone ran out of coffee and no sign of waitress. A black woman was bussing the tables and overheard my wife complain about the lack of coffee and she immediately went and got coffee for us without being asked. Food was brought out and the waitress asked if everything was okay. Two of our party indicated that we were missing toast. Waitress acknowledged that and left. Never seen toast. Never Ever got a bill. Went to register and waitress came and asked what I wanted. I told her to pay the bill and she asked me what I had. I told her and paid bill. I will not be back. The employees talk about customers and about the tips that are left for them. They even laugh at customers too. Agree with the service time but this is a sit-down restaurant and not a fast food joint. Took 16min for food to arrive, had hamburger steak, green beans, macaroni, mashed potatoes and gravy. Oh, and piece of coconut cake. Highly recommend hamburger steak. Was hot and seemed like it just came off grill and not just warmed up like some places. Would agree, prices are a'bit for portions but I'll take quality over quantity any day. Will return, has a lot on menu for just about anyone. Convenient location off 85 which is a bonus. read more

Came from Charlotte and met friends coming from Greenville. The waitress and staff were all SUPER NICE. I do agree it took a bit longer than I am accustomed to receive the food, maybe 35 minutes, but the food was delicious and the portions were way bigger than other posts suggested. My wife and I each brought home leftovers. They also had a woman playing live music which was totally unexpected. All in all, a very favorable experience and worth the stop! What a wonderful surprise. We stopped here at the NC/SC border while traveling. Spotlessly clean great food, wonderful service. Had fried catfish, hush puppies, fried pickles and BBQ slaw. We recommend them all. Since it was Friday night we were able to enjoy a live pianist which just made it all even better. This was my first time at this restaurant. I came at lunch time and the food was just okay. I got the fried chicken breast, broccoli casserole. Mac n cheese, & cornbread. The chicken & broccoli casserole were the only two items on the plate that were noteworthy. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the broccoli casserole was delicious and full of flavor. The Mac n cheese was standard like most restaurants. Nothing special. The cornbread lacked a lot of flavor was was dry. My waitress said the cornbread was sweet, but it's not sweet at all. The service was quick- I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The serving size is small for the price. My fiancé and I paid $21 for both our meals and the serving sizes of our sides were literally a cup full (see pic). We polished off our entire plates and were still hungry, which is rare that I eat my entire meal out anywhere. With that being said, I give the restaurant a 3 star review. They should work on the serving size proportions for the price. read more

A very small country town restaurant with good food. I have had the meat and three several times. I love the turkey and dressing with mac n cheese, and fried okra.
