This is close to Chinatown and McCormick Place. Good place if looking for a station not as busy. It serves the Green Line. This is a great alternative to the Chinatown station a few blocks west. Not only is it less busy. Observe how nice this station is. Modern and has ample room in the lower area to hang out when it's cold. The upper platform is pretty clean mostly. Busiest on weekends because of McCormick Place having events. It still can be less busy than in Chinatown so it's a good alternative to head a few blocks out to here instead. The trains come a few times each hour and usually are on time.

It was just $2.50 per person and the orange line goes directly to Midway. This is the last stop on the line. Plus, we got there at least 15 minutes earlier than the UBER/Lyft ETA. There is Hope. Interesting to see the suicide & crisis lifeline information at the station. Call, chat or text 988 if you need help. A shocking murder-suicide in Houston earlier this week, this sign really made me think. On this Mother's Day, hug your mom, your children, your grandparents a little tighter.

Via the green line, I was able to commute to this station from the west-side of the city. An efficient station that will connect you to sights within downtown Chicago like Grant Park, The Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and even the Historic Route 66 Begin Sign; the iconic Historic Route 66 Begin Sign which is located downstairs of this elevated platform. At this station you can also transfer to other lines like green, pink, purple, orange, and brown. Opened by Lake Street Elevated Railroad in 1896 before being incorporated into Charles Yerkes's Union Loop in October 1897. From back then to now, the station has had its share of renovations and makeovers. It is well-maintained, yet with some clear signs of cracked paint and rust on its interior frame. And I also could not ignore the faded out social distancing signs which will forever remind us of covid-19 in the years to come. I have to say that my visits to-and-from CTA - Adams/Wabash have been very pleasant, thankfully! Of course, there's other stuff here too. Get off here to go to the Adler Planetarium, Field Museum, and Shedd Aquarium, along with other less known museums. There's also buses that take you right there. Better than driving. There's also no paying for parking. Here you can walk over to many attractions. It's best known for being close to Soldier Field and museums. There's buses for those not wanting to do as much walking.

I must say, I am pleasantly surprised…read more Before this trip I had only taken the Orange line a few stops, usually in the Loop to catch a Brown line train. This morning however I took it to catch my flight to Midway. Why was I impressed? The train was clean (relatively speaking), b.o. free, and it didn't hit any notable slow zones. It was fairly empty when I rode it, but I think that's because all sensible people were in bed getting some shut eye. I reserve the right to change my opinion in the future, I mean it is the CTA and all. This ride could've been an anomaly. We'll see how I feel on my return ride home.
