This company is TERRIBLE, do NOT work with them! I rented a party bus for a bachelorette party, and there were some major problems. 1) They sent the driver the wrong address, so he went to the other side of Chicago and was a full hour late to pick us up. 2) The ice promised on the bus was melted. No toilet paper in the bathroom. The speaker didn't work for the first 30 minutes. The biggest problem is they REFUSED to issue a refund for the hour that they missed. I spoke with the coordinator, who promised the owner would follow up with me directly to process a refund, but the owner never called me back and ignored all of my calls. I felt totally scammed. The owner and the AA female driver are terrible humans. They claimed not to have the ability to meander through a downtown street and left me and my 6 kids stranded downtown as we were post celebrating my 16 year old's birth anniversary. Now, some how and due to a pure miracle, 4 other party buses/ sprinters (same size) were able to drive down the exact same street (their party bus/ sprinter had difficulty driving on.... LOL.. they are lairs in the worst way)! I begged the owner for a refund to simply cover an Uber home (40 minutes away), and he refused (see below). I explained that having the expectation for me and my children to walk and find his driver was unreasonable. By the way, I also tipped the initial driver. I had a great experience booking with Chitown LimoBus for my 40th birthday. They helped me work out a schedule, and Kristina sent me photos of the bus's built-in cooler areas so I could gauge what I needed to bring. Our driver, Hashim, was fantastic. He was great helping my friends get the bus ready while I was finishing up some group photos, and he was super helpful with instructions and communication throughout the night. He also helped us out when one of our styrofoam coolers disintegrated. :) Everyone really appreciated that he took us around downtown at the beginning of the night. I wish I could leave zero stars. The absurdity and unprofessionalism of our experience is still blowing my mind hours later. We rented a bus to take a group of professionals to a development event. We clearly communicated in email and over the phone our schedule. This company did not communicate the schedule to the driver, Hashim. The driver thought we were supposed to be home 3 hours earlier than planned, and when informed otherwise, proceeded to act in a hostile manner the entire trip, stomping around, demanding immediate payment even though we agreed on a cash payment at the end of the trip, and loudly announcing he would be calling the authorities to kick us off the bus if we didn't pay THIS INSTANT. He said more than once that the company's issue was "not his problem". One of our party kindly asked to use the Bluetooth speakers to play music and the driver snapped at him and wouldn't let him use them. When we got back, he proceeded to try to blame our group for a bus seat that was already broken prior to our trip. We will never, EVER use this company again!! I would recommend booking elsewhere if you want to have a peaceful and drama free trip. Ridiculous beyond belief. EDIT: The outrageous response below to this review should tell you everything you need to know about this company. We went to a professional development event and stopped for lunch at Mars Cheese Castle on the way home. This was written out in an email and also carefully explained to the company over the phone. 2 Members of our group stayed behind to clean up the trash, which was a few water bottles. The seat was broken before we got on the bus, a testament to the quality of this company. Not only did we provide a deposit, we confirmed with Bob that cash payment would be provided. The fact that the bus driver felt the need to make a scene over the payment halfway through the trip instead of simply asking for earlier payment is absurd. The fact that they're trying to blame us for their broken seat in an attempt to cover up their mess up is laughable. I sent the same request about to 5 companies and Chitown had the fastest response, best rate, and ultimately was a breeze to work with - accommodating a couple changes to our plans and confirming everything the day before. Unfortunately it has come to this. I want to share my experience so someone else may avoid a bad experience. These were complaints I made to the company, both in writing and verbally and their response... 1. The step up into the Mercedes Sprinter Executive is pretty high. There was no addition step provided for us. I know there is one because Igor offered to put it in place when I came out to see the vehicles a couple months ago. Please make sure that extra step is available for our return trip. 2. With the step not being available Vlada offered no assistance in helping the women into the vehicle. You know if someone falls getting in or out of the vehicle that could be a problem. 3. When Vlada arrived, we all spoke to him, and he didn't respond. One of the ladies husband was there...it was their property that was the pick up location...Vlada blew us off so bad, her husband continually called to check on us because he was uncomfortable with the situation. 4. When I introduced myself to Vlada, there was no reply...like nothing. No acknowledgement that I said anything. 5. The back row in the vehicle was not cleaned well. There were crumbs and a muddy footprint. This was the email I sent early Saturday morning...March 5th, after our pick up and being dropped off at our destination. Everyone was voicing their complaint regarding the transportation experience, and as the event planner for the trip, I thought sharing this with Bob, would ensure our return trip was satisfactory. No such luck... On the return trip we had the same driver who still didn't speak to us, there was no step up into the truck, and still no assistance. The step was important to us as we had a lady traveling with us that had just gotten out of the hospital the day before, dealing with sciatica. The table up front was sticky, the vehicle was not clean. In addition to that, after making the 1st drop off, the rest of us were kidnapped and forced on a gas run...without our consent. We were driving around in the inner city of Chicago in a Mercedes Sprinter and he's parking in gas stations and sitting there Googling for Diesel fuel. We felt VERY UNSAFE!! You hear all the time about people being shot and killed in Chicago sitting in vehicles, or being carjacked...and here we sit, after dark. Our return trip was Sunday, March 6th, on Monday, March 7th, I called and spoke with Bob, who seemed very understanding. Bob acknowledged that the way things went was unacceptable, requested that I send the pictures that were taken of the uncleanliness of the vehicle because they have a 3rd party that cleans the vehicles, and said he was going to speak with Igor and get back with me with a resolution. On March 14th, I realized a week had gone by and I hadn't heard from Bob, so I called again and this time I got VM, I left a message. Prior to them getting our $1,400.00 Bob's response time was on point, he would respond the same day or next day...on Wednesday, March 16th, I still hadn't heard anything, so I sent a text to the thread we'd already communicated on. I sit here today typing this, it is March 26th, I haven't heard anything from Bob since he said he would call me back on March 7th. They require you to pay at pick-up, and once they get your money, whatever happens...happens. I'm posting this on Monday, March 28th...still have not heard from Bob. read more

The 32 Passenger with bathroom Coach Shuttle Bus was perfect for our trip to a football game in southern Illinois. Their quote and follow-up contract came quickly (we booked within a week of the event) and were easy to understand. The driver, Marissa, was professional and an excellent driver. She maintained a comfortable indoor temperature for all of us throughout the freezing night. The bus itself was super clean and very nice with reclining seats and seatbelts. Really annoyed. The music system on the bus didn't work correctly so we had the driver drop us off at our final location early. The driver kept saying it was our internet connection. We tried on multiple phones and every time we hit a bump during the drive, the system went out so it was obviously an issue with the system itself. It was a super boring way to end my awesome wedding. Luckily we only booked 2 hours, otherwise this would not have been acceptable. You can't have a party bus without a working music system. Only reason for 2 stars is that the driver showed up on time and we didn't have to worry about 25 people standing around in the cold to wait. read more

I thought my party bus days were well behind me, but it turns out this is the most stylish (and fun!) way for a group of 15 women in their mid 30s to travel from the North Shore to the city. It turns out the cost of a party bus can vary significantly from one company to another, but thanks to the "request a quote" feature on Yelp we were able to weed out the most costly buses ($1100) to the bet deals. At $240 (including tip) for a ride downtown Chitown LimoBus was by far the best price of 9 limo/party bus companies. The man behind the party bus, Igor, was very responsive, friendly and flexible. He told me to not worry about paying for the bus until that night. When his driver suggested I just pay by credit card the next day Igor texted me it wasn't a problem and to have fun. Our driver, Romi, got us to the city safely and as fast as possible despite a horrible storm that pretty much flooded the highway. The bus itself was massive, clean and the perfect start to a fun evening...commuting to the city so much more fun with a bottle of champagne too! Would not recommend: Extremely disappointed. We had rented the 24 passenger Luxury bus with wrap around seating, lighting, sound system, tv, and bathroom for our wedding party on June 5th. We needed the bus for transportation around the city for wedding photos and then for a fun hour long bus ride to get the party started to our venue in the suburbs. The bus was able to bring the groom and the groomsmen to the bride for the first look, and let me tell you the bus was big, spacious and beautiful. When the whole party was on the bus and about to leave to start our wedding photos the bus has broke down. We were told it would be 1 hour - 1.5 hrs for a replacement bus to arrive. 90 min later we returned to our replacement bus which had no open concept. No lights, mirrors or any luxury feature. The bus even rattled the whole way. More importantly it no bathroom, that was needed for a breastfeeding bridesmaid to have a place to get situated in private. We were told to not worry, enjoy the day and that we would have a full refund. Which was clearly not the case. In the grand scheme of things was I going to let a bus ruin our day, no. But when I called after the wedding they were not on board with giving the full refund which was mentioned on our wedding day. I am very very disappointed in the customer service, and the bus that they felt was good enough for a replacement. read more

It was beautiful, clean, spacious, great sound for my music, bathroom on board and black in color. The bus was everything pretty and classy for a hot summer night in Chicago. Our driver was on time, courteous, friendly and professional. He knew the right spots to make our night. We had a great time, almost went over our time but Igor was understanding at no extra charge because it was a Sunday night! No one else was waiting on the bus after us. I booked 4 hours on a bus for my soon-to-be-sister's bachelorette party (just last night). Unfortunately, we needed to have 2 different buses for the 2 parts of the night--not ideal, but manageable. There is no food allowed on the buses (which doesn't make sense since drinks are allowed)--also not ideal, but also manageable. Our first driver was punctual and said that he would store our things to be transferred to the second bus. The bus was nice, clean, and fun. So far so good. The second bus was a completely different story. It was a half hour late because the bus driver (different one from before) got lost, even though he was half a mile away and I'd given him the address well in advance, and even called to give cross streets and help him out some more. He also got lost later, getting to the address where the first driver had stored our things, even though we were told it was the ChiTown LimoBus offices, so shouldn't he know where his own company's offices are? When the bus arrived to pick us up, it was littered with other people's things--not only purses, shoes, and leftover drinks and empty bottles, but also a floor so sticky from spills that your feet stuck with each step. Disgusting. I don't know why the bus wasn't cleaned before it got to us; I understand that sometimes the day is busy, but if you can't make time for a proper cleaning, you aren't a proper business. And if your driver doesn't have the address that was given with the original itinerary, several times, you are not a business that runs on proper communication. He dropped us off before the 4 hours--prepaid, $800--were over, but I didn't quibble about that because I was so done with that bus. I'll finish by saying that Igor was very nice, and it's only because he was very nice that I did not rant about all of this over the phone, because no one should want to ruin one man's day when clearly the problem is much bigger. ChiTown Limobus Service did not meet my expectations nor fulfill their contract. We had numerous issues with our experience: 1) The driver called to inform us he was running 45 minutes late. This was a problem because our reservation was to take us to a show in the suburbs. This was a significant delay that caused us to lose our preshow paid reservations. 2) The company did find us a replacement vehicle that was only 20 minutes late. This still caused a significant delay and unnecessary aggravation. 3) However, the vehicle's A/C was broken! We had the driver pull over, but he didn't know how to fix it. So, we drove to Schamburg from the city with no air in a July heatwave. During the show, the driver didn't fix it either, so we drove back without air as well 4) The replacement vehicle was not equipped with a bathroom as contracted. 5) I had paid the bill in full the day before, and yet that information wasn't sent to the new driver. He received a message from the dispatcher that I needed to pay. I had to show him my receipt. This was a basic thing that the dispatcher should have already known that I had paid I tried to resolve my issues, but the company is non-responsive 6) I called multiple times over the past 1.5 weeks, but only got through twice. The first time I reviewed all my issues, and the person said he would report to management and get back to me. The second time was to follow-up, and he said it was in management's hands, but he would get back to me. Still haven't heard from them. Overall, I am very disappointed in the lackadaisical attitude, inability to meet the agreement, and the overall poor service of the vehicle. read more

Igor and his team are polite and professional. I definitely had a long night with a long string of unforeseen circumstances but my night worked out in the end. I contacted Igor for a party bus going from Navy Pier back to Evanston. They charge $15 flat rate per person for such a voyage. The transaction is strictly to be done in cash only--something i had not anticipated. I talked to Igor and gave him my credit card information and it worked out in the end. Igor was incredibly accommodating as I had changed my mind twice in regards to ordering the party bus due to the fickle nature of a large group of 20 college students When we boarded, we were given water. The bus was decorated with nice, supple leather and the music system was fantastic, complete with a TV in the back. Here's when shit hits the fan--our bus broke down midway on the side of the highway on the way back. My party wanted to just uber back to Evanston rather than wait for a second party bus to come and pick us up unfortunately. Igor understood the situation as unforeseeable and out of our control and agreed to cancel our payment for the party bus. Despite a long night where I didn't understand it was a cash only transaction and our bus breaking down, Igor was incredibly accommodating and professional and handled the unfortunate series of events in the best way possible. We had a GREAT experience with our 24 passenger limo bus for a 9 hour Saturday charter between Chicago and Milwaukee. We were promised a good driver, a nice bus with a bathroom/AC, on time departure/arrival, a set price paid upfront, being allowed to play our own music, and being allowed to bring our own alcohol for the trip...and they delivered on everything! Rented their services for my wedding day and it was awful! The bus was not thoroughly cleaned for my wedding to be the first service of the day. There were gnats on the bus and the driver attributed it to having a bathroom aboard the bus. Further, the air condition was not working properly so my wife and her bridesmaids were sweating, uncomfortable, and nearly sweated their make up off. We had a party of 16 with two photographers so imagine how much hotter the bus was. In either case I called and spoke with Igor on 8/13/18 and it is now 8/17/18 and he has not returned my phone call as he indicated he would after checking into the matter with the bus driver. When I spoke with Igor he made it seem like I was making the entire thing up because he didn't get any other complaints about the bus. Like I explained to him I had nothing to gain in this matter but to simply let him know that for my wedding day to be on a bus without proper air conditioning, gnats, and trash from a previous event was not okay. Chitown limo is great. Igor is very polite, friendly, reasonable, and always tries to fit our needs. I've worked with him a couple times to book rides from the city to various suburbs for golf outings. He even coordinated to have an extra car come along to carry our golf bags since we had such a large crew, which was really nice and much appreciated. 100% of the time they're on time everytime. You can request a bus with a bathroom too - a huge plus to avoid making pitstops at the nearest gas station. And there are also buses with dancing poles... so bring a helmet, just in case. The only thing I don't entirely agree with is that they charge per person (with a minimum of course). It makes things complicated when organizing these big excursions since there are so many last minute cancellations and changes. I'd prefer a flat rate, "up to x-amount of people" and then maybe something like "x-amount more per person" after that. Makes everything cleaner in the organization process. And also, realistically it doesn't cost any more if, say, 28 people come vs. 24. But overall, great company and we will definitely be using them again. Highly recommend them! read more

This is an unprofessional service. The driver was late, never explained the rules of the bus or even greeted us. After the first stop, an additional man showed up in the passenger seat; again, he never introduced himself, explained his role or why he was there. It was off putting. At the end of the night half of our party arrived on the bus at 1:51, and he said he was going to leave without the others, who were waiting at the light only a few ft in front of the bus. We said that we paid until 2 and we would report it to the company. He said we didn't pay him, and he does not care about the company or what they think. When asked what his name was, since he never introduced himself, he said it was "none-of-ya" we asked again and he said none of your d*** business. Never again will I book this company. So many unnecessary issues. False advertising, was sent pictures of what the bus I would be renting looked like from the interior and exterior. When it arrived it was a completely different color and the inside looked nothing like the picture. Was told there was Bluetooth and aux cord, Bluetooth kept loosing connection and aux cord didn't work. Not reliable in regards to pick up and drop off times. Ended up having to get an $80 Uber back home because the driver kicked us out and said his time was up when in fact I stated to pick us up at 3:30am and drop us off at the Airbnb. Nope. Never again. The management was very helpful in arranging a party bus for prom. They were able to accommodate a last minute time change. The bus was clean and beautiful inside. The driver would call to check if changes in where they were driving to was approved by a parent. They had one of the best rate available as well. I am very happy with my experience with this company. I needed transportation for an employee outing for about 30 people. I requested a quote from different companies through Yelp and online and my quote from Chi Town Limo bus was competitive. Upon looking at their website and reading reviews, I decided to choose them for our event. I went back and forth quite a bit with Igor, trying to figure out the details with my ever-changing schedule for my coworkers, and he was always professional and always gave me timely answers.
