Ok......you're out in the middle of nowhere boating, fishing or hunting snakes on the islands in the Sea Of Cortez and 1535 is your Shangri la! Courteous staff, Great food, Great prices and cold beer overlooking a beautiful cove. BEAUTIFUL! Wish i were there right now!

The amazing food was only out done by the gorgeous views. The wait staff was very friendly and they had wifi for patrons.

You gotta follow the flood track to get onto the steps, after that it's quite easy to get into the restaurant. The restaurant was quite impressive. It had two huge star burst chandeliers and a huge toy train track system on the ceiling. If you'd like, you can get up to the second floor to see the trains up close. Tip: the view is quite nice on the second floor balcony! We quickly ordered our beverages. I got a michelada and it was really big, which was great since I was thirsty! Then we ordered a bunch of food, and the portions are huge! I got the fish tacos and it was decent. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp and octopus cocktail and liked it, his cousin got a chicken quesadilla and was happy with it as well. However, the vegetarian option was very limited, and there were tons of hungry flies attacking our food when the dishes arrived! Overall, we have mixed feelings for the restaurant but it was a convenient spot for a quick lunch on the beach.

Instead, you're greeted by your waiter with handshakes and smiles, and told to sit wherever you like. You order a drink while you dip your legs in the pool; the kids suddenly discover the water slide, and they're off. The decor is a wonder to look at, in sort of an Indian safari style. In the open upstairs, around the perimeter floor, a model train mania exists, with at least tens of thousands of dollars' worth of track and trains. A working vintage pac-man and space invaders game is also up there. Meanwhile, you've lost the kids -where did they go?! Wait, they're IN the furniture! The model train cabinetry hides a maze of carpeted tunnels for the kids to spend HOURS crawling through! Can you find the play kitchen back there? As for food, the sashimi is the best dish. For the kids, the hot dog platter, which comes with two bacon-wrapped hot dogs! The guacamole is good and fresh but under seasoned, and for dinner, get the steak! Plan to spend the entire day here - it's so worth it!

Loved the big porch with the rocking chairs and hammock. The housekeepers did a wonderful job of tidying up each morning. Our bed was so comfortable, too. Our room had everything we could need: filtered drinking water, shampoo and body wash, reading lights at every bed, and beach towels. We shared in some unforgettable experiences: snorkeling with puffer fish, boating alongside gray whales, and digging for shark teeth. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. The food was unbeatable. Fresh yellow tail, fluffy pancakes, and fajitas. I highly recommend Palapas Ventana for anyone who likes adventure and is looking to experience the local culture. Well done!!

The office person said she would call me back to check to see if they could accommodate. Within the hour she called back and advised us there was room, we just needed to come by the office and take care of payment. We were stoked and happy to come down and pay. While I was there I asked her how many dives, she said she didn't know, but that was okay, I was just assuming it was the standard 2 dives. She advised us that it included lunch and I told her not to worry about me because I am dairy and gluten-free, she said she would let the kitchen know and that they could probably accommodate. I wasn't really concerned about lunch because I usually carry my own food. The next day we met with our guide and boat captain, both were super nice. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We headed around the lighthouse, but visibility was poor so they took us across to the island where we dived with the sea lions and then we moved to the kiters beach on the island where we dived in shallow water. For the most part, we didn't really need to scuba, snorkeling would have been just as good. There wasn't really any benefit as far as seeing sea life. After both dives they gave us lunch on the way back, much to my surprise, they actually provided me a lunch that was both dairy and gluten-free, I was pretty impressed. The not so good: The wetsuits had holes and smelled really bad. I am not sure they had been cleaned. The air in the tanks smelled and tasted horrible. I don't know if it was mold or rust, but it was really bad. The worst part of the trip is that the guide allowed two people on our trip to freely smoke cigarettes non-stop on the boat ride and they were sitting upwind of everyone, ugh!!!! Tip: If you decide to dive with this company, please tip your guide, they are not paid in wages and only live off of the tips!!!

Well, after a few bumps and missed turns we found it and it was awesome! The restaurant sits in a tiny boutique hotel and is beautiful! Felipe gave us our choice of tables and after temp check and sanitizer we had some ice cold beers! Started with onion rings because they sounded good and were great! Then chicken tacos also amazing.... perfect service with roosters and all kinds of animals just roaming around. We could have sat there all day it was so peaceful and Felipe was so chill. Toured the hotel and would have stayed there. I'd urge anyone staying in Cabo to take a day and go to the east cape. Remote and totally different! Thanks

It was exactly how I would want it: verde salsa, red onions, cheese crumbles, beans and eggs. Their homemade orange juice is also amazing! I just wish I had a bigger cup because I could easily drink a whole glass before my meal. It's super refreshing and you can tell it's made right before they serve it to you. They have to add ice to cool it because the oranges aren't cold when they squeeze them. I'm getting married down the street from here, so we're thinking of having our rehearsal dinner here on their rooftop. The roof is super cute and offers a great view of the beach. They have a non-operating hot tub up there and that'd be cool if it were actually working when my guests come (but the way it looked, it's most likely been out of operation for awhile and will continue to be). Definitely at the top of my list for favorite restaurants around Los Barriles!

The food was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We began with the plantain appetizer stuffed with cheese and served over a rich mole sauce. It was out of this world. If I could change one thing, I'd make the plantains a little larger--they were a bit smaller than the size of my palm--but the flavor more than made up for it. That mole sauce was everything: rich, slightly sweet, complex, and the perfect complement to the cheese-filled plantains. I could have eaten a bowl of that sauce by itself. For our entrées, we had the chicken penne Alfredo and the ribs with raspberry barbecue sauce. The Alfredo was creamy, rich, perfectly seasoned, and served in a generous portion. The ribs were equally impressive--tender, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the unique raspberry barbecue sauce. My only complaint is that I wish there had been more ribs because they were that good. Great food, great flavors, and a memorable meal. If you're anywhere near Todos Santos or Playa Cerritos, I highly recommend making a stop at Santos Pecados.

Stopped by for a quick bite to find a no frills environment with ample seating and great service. The place is very clean and the side vegetables provided for just a few tacos are quite generous. Ordered 3 tacos and here's their ranking from my most to least favorite: - Grilled shrimp: shrimp tastes properly grilled with a nice charred flavor and there's a generous portion of shrimp on the taco. - Al pastor: very flavorful and the ingredients all mix well together with the soft cut of pork. - Asada: lots of carne asada to go around, but the meat was slightly tougher than the pork in the Al pastor taco. Note that all tacos come with a generous serving of guacamole, which is certainly a huge plus for the establishment! You also get to have a personal serving of cucumbers, radishes, lime, and a green chili sauce to go hand in hand with your tacos and you can go up to the front to fix yourself a side plate of some grilled sweet and spicy peppers, which were truly perfect. There's a fridge with lots of soda options available. The lemon Fresca was quite refreshing on a warm sunny day.

I would suggest to the owners that they edit the menu down to fewer things that they can execute very well, and get rid of all the Cabo Wabo-ish elements that feel really tacky and out of place in this charming beach village.
