cheese board, glass sangria wine, and pint of Canadian stout.

I am a lover of wine. My husband and I were on vacation and walking around and he wanted to stop here for beer. I was happy to oblige since they also have wine, and some food. I got a glass of their sangria (since they only had 6 wines to choose from that day). I felt it was overly sweet and didn't enjoy it. We also got their cheese and cracker appetizer to share. I felt for the price, that one VERY small block of 4 kinds of cheese wasn't worth the price. I liked the cheese and crackers, don't misunderstand me. But for $10, I thought we should get bigger pieces of cheese. I would certainly come again, if i'm in the area. But I would have to choose different wine.

    Same price!

Saw a billboard for this place as we drove into the Sault and decided to try it. Pretty good call. The dining room is small, clean, and tasteful, the beer and food we had were good. Only three brews were on offer when we went, and we chose the Summer Wheat. Similar to Bell's Oberon, but a little fuller in body. Very satisfying. We ordered burgers and they came medium just as ordered. Meat was a little bland, but I've certainly had worse. Overall I was happy with mine. You have the option of getting your beer in a pint or in a goblet-like 17 oz. "fishbowl" for the same price ($4--not bad for a craft brew). We didn't try any wines. Most are fruit flavored, though there is a merlot, a riesling, and one other white. The 1668 has an outdoor patio, which is where most customers were on the warm summer evening we visited. We might sit out there on a return visit.

We sat outside and watched a freighter until it got chilly. Good beer! Nice waitress. I saw live music on Saturday. My mom and I got burgers and they were huge!!! And soooo good. They came with either kettle chips or celery and carrots. We were the only ones on the patio! It was a nice and quiet place to eat. I'm glad we ended up here! Many other places were busy, seemed like this was a hidden gem.

Pleasantly surprised. The beer was awesome! The bar keep rocked! She explained everything that is on the menu and the different wines and beers they produce! The food again was great!

Clean and inviting. I just had a glass of wine but the food smelled amazing. I will be eating there on my next visit. Friendly bartender!

The lighting is good and the overall atmosphere was chill. Music played in the background and didn't interfere with conversation. 20 beers on tap. A huge bar. A pool table. All kinds of fun to be had! So, let's talk food. A simple front and back menu loaded with goodies. Two different Rueben appetizers speak to the passion of an Irish Pub. It's in the Sault, however, and the fish is the real steal of the show. I judge that everything on this menu is made with care and comes out delicious. The perch are deep fried, light and tender. Their "famous" questo tastes a lot like grandma's rotel and is absolutely delicious. Beers, Bloody Mary's, Fish, Irish fare, burgers, quality service, and plenty of seating make this place a worthy stop for nearly every audience. Come on in and you won't be disappointed. (the prices are too low to mention, imo)

Things were very clean and orderly - even the restrooms. The booths were spacious comfortable. The menu is fairly large and prices are decent. The team here is very friendly and hustles. There was not enough waitress scheduled to handle the post locks crowd. They were spread very thin. The food coming out of the kitchen was very slow as well. We were seated by the window where the food comes out. I was shocked at how long many items sat waiting on a waitress and that there was no heat lamp to help keep food warm. Our sweet potato fries came out cold. The fried pickles were okay. The dill chip was moderately thick with a heavy breading. The chip was touch and couldn't be bit into. The breading was nice and firm and a bit oily. The Cole slaw was pretty good - finely cut cabbage pieces with a thin mayo-vinegar taste. The onion rings were also good. Some rings had a thicker piece of onion. The batter was thick and a bit greasy. The garlic Parmesan wings were okay. The basket consisted of 8 small wings. The wings were battered and fried. The insides were a solid white and fairly moist. The batter was bit crunchy which was nice. The garlic Parmesan sauce didn't really have much garlic or Parmesan taste. It seemed to be a heavy buttery flavor with maybe some seasoning.

We ordered a couple of adult beverages and while waiting for our lunches, kicked back to enjoy the signs and Knick-knacks. I love learning trivia, and now I know what a goat locker is :-) My hub got the BBQ burger, which came with crispy fries. He said it was delicious. I got the pasty with brown gravy, and it was ginormous! Eating it took me back to childhood...my mom's pasties were almost just like this (hers were a little heavier on the rutabaga, so they were always soggy). It came with a side of coleslaw, so that makes it healthy, right?! Very reasonably-priced meal, especially considering the remote location. Hope we get a chance to come back someday.

The service was a bit slow, but I think there was some confusion with service at another table or what not. Food came out super quick and was surprised for the place being relatively busy at the time. Overall it was a nice place and friendly staff, I'd give this place a go again.
