Took a stroll to the brewery from the public dock at Cedarville. When we finished with the pinecone gift shop next-door, we popped in thinking that we would come in for a quick beer. We were delighted to find a full menu and a wide selection of brews and spirits. Service was prompt and our cocktails and flight came quickly. Two thumbs up for the Honey Amber and the tipper, a high ABV Pilsner. My spouse had the grilled cheese, bacon and apple. I had the wings with barbecue sauce. The sauce was a little sweet, but it was a healthy portion of wings and a side of little smashed potatoes - more than enough for lunch lots of TVs for the start of college football season and a surprisingly robust crowd for midday, even considering it's the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. There were several tables ahead of us and several behind, yet the kitchen seem to keep up very well with orders. I would return and recommend to others. read more

Yum yum yum, that's all I gotta say. I got da pizza, I built my own. Wow so good. It had just the right amount of toppings and loved the sauce. We also got an appetizer of da chips and buffalo chicken dip, so yummy. The chips were very good and the buffalo chicken dip was amazing... not as good as my wife's though. Service was good, didn't have to wait. Although she really wanted us to get some drinks from the bar, it's a Monday night so I really didn't want anything. Really like the vibe of the restaurant, although a little cold. I'll definitely be back, I'll probably try to drive my snowmobile up there next time! read more

Absolutely fabulous experience at the Les Cheneaux Distillers. Excellent service and an extensive menu. The Turkey Reuben was really large, prepared and served with a choice of sides (the kettle chips were great). Saw pizzas going by and they looked very good. The couple next to us had ginormous Bloody Mary's and great looking wraps. Husband had the beer flight (four 4 oz.servings) and he was impressed. I already knew about the Straits gin, so I picked up a bottle to take home and got a shirt in the gift shop. Will definitely be back. read more

Best place to eat in town. I was in the area for about a week and ate here a few times. The whiskey Cocktails were really good. I enjoyed the old fashioned, espresso martini and coffee with their sweet cream. Beer was pretty good too. Both the tomato soup & grilled cheese sandwich were pretty delicious. The white chicken chili was very tasteful. Staff was super friendly, atmosphere was fun and trendy. There's a fire pit outside, outdoor seating is available depending on weather. Wow. First time in Cedarville and on the Fourth of July no less. Apple BBQ pizza was excellent with a thin crisp crust. My wife had the Rachel Panini and loved it. We both had the Marquette mule which went down very smooth with its hint of cherry and their own brand of vodka. Liked it so much we picked up 2 bottles of their vodka in the distillery store. The only reason I am only giving it 4 stars is because I want to come back and try something else and leave room to improve. read more

What's off to this UP restaurant for being so diligent about indoor dining that respects COVID protocols and allows everyone to feel safe. Spacious seating, airflow, and reliable masking. We visited the Distillers twice during our week long stay with a friend who lived locally. In Cedarville, this restaurant is hands down the place to go. We tried the vegetarian flat bread, chicken chili and potato mashers and grilled cheese. All entrees were tasty and satisfying. Generous portions at a reasonable price. The staff either make or break a dining experience. We interacted with several servers and everyone was friendly, efficient and gracious. Looking forward to a return visit and the opportunity to sample more dishes. The chicken chili will be hard to beat! read more

Their special cocktails are delicious and creative using their own distilled gin and vodka. Stopped in here for a quick craft beer and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was pretty busy, but the Michigan vs Norte Dame game was playing that night so the entire town was out watching the game. It was so surprising to find a Distillery/Brewery in such a small town but the brew was really good. Hats off the the brewmaster. I tried to the Red Ale brew and it was fantastic. My girlfriend had the wheat and the blonde brew and both were very good as well. We ended up ordering an order of the pretzels and beer cheese and they were also very good. I didn't try any of their vodka, gin, or whiskey that they also distill in house but I watched the bartender pour different drinks left and right. It was a family restaurant so kids are welcomed as well. Probably a big plus for such a small community. We plan to visit again next summer! CHEERS read more

We stopped here on our way back across the bridge to the LP and it was the best road trip decision ever made. They have a lot of seating inside and out. They have a large bar inside and a couches by a fire. We got their angry ass, boot bloody, and aunt Mary. All were great drinks. All on the strong side but very tasty. Their boot bloody came with lots of garnish, cheese, meat, pickles, olive, and a strip of bacon. We ordered their BLT with potatoes and the pork shank entree with white chicken chili. The pork shank was the best shank I have ever had. I got it with BBQ and the meat was fall off the bone tender. The white chicken chili had a mild heat and great flavor. The whole place had great staff. All the girls were on their game, friendly, and the perfect amount of service. The whole place is easy to get around in, the bathrooms are clean. Go 15 minutes out of the way if you are heading to the LP. It's worth the time here. Also, you can buy bottles of their liquor and growlers if their beer. read more

This is as straight forward as distillers come. No frills, no bullshit. They make vodka, gin and whiskey. I sampled the whiskey. Barrel aged 5 years, no added color, no preservatives, extremely high corn grain content. Excellent quality whiskey that's not overly complex. Prefect for a great cocktail or on the rocks daily drinking. Service was excellent, made a great cocktail. Had a whiskey sour, and an old fashioned, neither of which were on the menu but they knew exactly what to do. Will definitely be back. My drink was the Bass Cove Cooler - LCD vodka, ginger beer, and pineapple juice was yum!! Out of place but still in style - Les Cheneaux Distillers is a great place to spend an afternoon. The building is modern lots of wood accents and an industrial vibe about it. Standard brewery board games in the front room but what sets Les Cheneaux apart from the standard Michigan beer and whiskey scene is the arcade games available to play. 50 cents is a steep price to pay for Ms. Pac Man given the machine is from the year 2000 which results in a faster game speed than the original. Shuffleboard and pool are also available. The wedge salad is amongst the best I've seen Northern Michigan with great plating from the kitchen - comparable only with the highest art seen on master chef. read more

My husband and I went there on a Thursday after the lunch rush, many tables were not cleared yet. Seemed to be only one waitress. The food was good ordered paninis - chicken with blue cheese and the bacon chicken. Both were good they are served with your choice of house salad, potato mashers or kale. The house salad with ranch was a nice portion and fresh. - the potato mashers were so good we ordered a second. The dill pickles on the plate are spicy. I had a glass of the Island Hopper Ale, very good and my husband had ice tea, which the waitress did not refill. The in house distillery is really something to see. Party of 12 with reservations. Our Server (Tatianna) was excellent but on this evening in particular Kitchen Staff was in my opinion LAZY. We were told when ordering that the signature soups and special of the night were unavailable absent the White Chili. I made my disappointment known to the Server ( having 12 guests in tow). The explanation was provided which referenced a very busy day and that food service deliveries arrive on Tuesday's. A few minutes later our Server arrived the table with the news "Soups on"! Soup had miraculously become available. The drinks were excellent and the food was very good with the exception of the cold Hamburgers (2). A little less drama next time we visit would be appreciated. We will be back regardless given that our previous visits were enjoyable. read more
