I also felt intimidated that I would be talked down to because I have only researched treatments and have had no prior experience. I'm really thankful to say that my experience at Skin Refine Medspa has been extremely positive. I felt seen, heard and understood. Most of all I felt safe! I've been going to Skin Refine since January of last year and I absolutely loved my experience so much, I've been returning since and recommending them to my friends! In fact, I just went in today and felt confident to schedule a new treatment for myself. Thank you to the Skin Refine staff for making me feel safe and secure in my own skin. Maryam has been incredible as my provider for fraxel laser, microneedling, and RHA redensity treatments. I've also received diamondglows here. It's a great refresher for your face. Maryam also provided tips on maximizing results and always takes your opinion in her recommendations. Altogether, my face has vastly improved. You can argue the treatments are pricy, but buying packages will get you a discount. I just think that's how the industry works so always get packages if you can. This place has a variety of treatment options, though they don't offer something like subcision, which is a more-involved procedure. But I'll just get that somewhere else and continue to come here for other treatments. Of course, they've recommended fillers and such for me. Rha redensity is like one. But they've been respectful that I prefer treatments like fraxel laser and such. There is a reason why they recommend filler though, because it does show faster results than others. The rha redensity provided the most improvement in a shorter time. They also have the skincare you need to purchase with ease. You're going to say those are expensive but they're not selling you products like La mer cream for $400. There is a parking lot, and there's always been space when I went, but the traffic getting there can be a bit much. All in all, I recommend doing at least one treatment here to see how you like it. The receptionist assured me everything was fine and told me to come in anyway, saying they would "work something out." After I arrived, I was told by the receptionist very rudely too there wasn't enough time to numb the area before my filler and that I would have to go through it without any numbing medication. I found that completely unacceptable. Their scheduling issue should never become the patient's problem, especially when it involves unnecessary pain. Only after I firmly objected then she suddenly decide they could numb the area after all. That tells me it was possible all along, but I had to argue just to receive the standard level of care. This entire experience was disorganized, stressful, and unprofessional. Canceling an appointment while a patient is already on the way, then asking them to accept a painful procedure because the office was behind schedule, is not how patients should be treated. I hope they improve their communication, scheduling, and respect for their patients' comfort and time. Very unprofessional and disrespectful receptionist... I totally understand that, but I had submitted the form almost a week before my appointment, and they didn't tell me it required doctor approval until the day before my appointment. I had to make a doctor appointment to get them to approve it, which made me miss my original appointment. It ended up being fine and I rescheduled, but it was frustrating that I only had one day notice about all of this. On to the actual appointment... it was a great experience. Much quicker and much less pain than I had anticipated. I was in and out within 10-15 mins. The space itself is inviting and clean, and the ladies at the front desk are so sweet!!! This has been truly disappointing. I'm generally a very positive person who prefers to focus on the good, but this involves my hard-earned money and a clear matter of principle. I had my first treatment called sofwave at medspa17 about 6 months ago. All the staffs were very friendly, and a nurse named Heejung kindly guided me and carefully applied anesthetic cream to prevent any pain. She said that SOFWAVE is the procedure to regenerate collagen, and although it was a little painful, it was bearable. I was very thankful that nurse Heejung kept talking to me so that I would not get bored and focus on the pain during the procedure, which involved several hundred shots. After that, I also got Botox on forehead, the corners of my eyes, and between my eyebrows, and there were no bruises, and my expression became very natural. After about two weeks, I could clearly feel that my expression had become much brighter and my skin had lifted. I had been somewhat depressed and very concerned about sagging cheeks, nasolabial folds, and wrinkles around my eyes, but this is why I received these procedures. I clearly saw and felt the effects, and I felt much more confident than before when meeting people. I haven't had many treatments, but I highly recommend Sofwave, which is a relatively new technology. read more

She explained that PicoSure has different settings and started with the medium mode to see how my skin would react -- I really appreciated her cautious and thoughtful approach. The treatment was quick and surprisingly comfortable thanks to the cooling air hose. My skin looked brighter right away, not darker like with other lasers. Afterward, the staff applied a sheet mask and chilled gel masks, which calmed my skin beautifully. By the time I got home, the redness was almost gone! Helen gave detailed aftercare instructions . I've had two sessions so far, and my spots are much lighter and my skin tone more even. In addition, Helen also responded quickly to any questions, even on weekends. You're going to say those are expensive but they're not selling you products like La mer cream for $400. I'm no expert on skin care, facials, or detoxes, but I'm super impressed upon my first (and definitely) not last visit. L'Ami offers facial treatments that hydrate and support cellular regeneration. This will be on my next trip, but today, we're going to talk about my food detox session that I had, that was not only refreshing, but educational, as well. What you will notice upon entering the salon, is that the place is super clean, unlike other establishments. Cleanliness is the first and most important priority at L'Ami. With the foot detox treatment, this is paramount. As such, clean new bags are placed in the water basins where your feet get detox. Once the treatment is done, the entire bag is disposed of, preventing any other person form using the same (dirty) water. L'Ami doesn't cut corners by using bags over and over! For the foot detox treatment, I sat on a very comfortable massage chair (lovely)! The water is clean at the start, but once the electrodes are connected to your arm, and the machine is running for ~25 minutes, the toxins go out through the pores of your feet and turn the water yellow, green, or red, depending on what is being cleansed. As a first-timer, the experience can be quite trippy to see all the stuff leaving our body, but once you read the educational pamphlets that are provided while the treatment is undergoing, you get a sense of appreciation that the treatment is wonderful for your body. Thanks, L'Ami!!! Once done, I felt totally refreshed!!! When you visit L'Ami, not only will your body feel refreshed, but you learn so much more about your own body, and how to take care of it. Tina is very knowledgeable, and always happy to explain things to you and the benefits of organic ingredients in skin care products. The foot detox was great. I usually get her Signature facials once a month, and her price is good for so many things in one service (aqua peel, ultrasound, massage, and LED light). I always feel like my pores are so much cleaner after going to her. It's also super relaxing--I almost feel bad that I will 100% fall asleep halfway through! Recently she's been doing a new service called Plizer, which is slightly more expensive but in my opinion still well worth the price! You still get the aqua peel and LED as well!
