I admire the extra mile Tina takes for each of her clients, & in return, keeps us wanting to come back! L'Ami has 2 locations, however, I have mostly been to her Santa Clara location, right off Steven's Creek. Her establishment is located w/in a larger one, so once you enter, you will immediately be entering a hair salon first, with her located on the right-hand corner. Inside, the establishment is very clean and well-kept. Immediately, you will receive a warm welcome from Tina & be offered water or tea, whichever you prefer. A quick side note: I REALLY love the tea cups they provide the tea in, they're absolutely gorgeous! Once Tina has finished prepping your room, she will escort you to it, where you can prepare for your session. Her rooms are very clean, tidy, well-temp'd, & smells great! I also love how comfortable the beds are, laying on it alone really makes me feel like a million bucks. Because all her sessions are by appointment only, you will never feel rushed & really feel like all the attention is just for you, which should always be the case. The below Services are my go-to's here at L'Ami: - Clear Acne Peel ($95+) Treatment specifically utilizes vitamins & a combination of natural acids that are multi-functional and works to control acne & regulate sebaceous glands. *This facial has been a lifesaver for me for when my skin decides to go haywire due to sudden environmental changes (wildfires, frequent travel, etc), a stressful work week, or for no reason whatsoever. - Deep Pore Cleansing Facial (60 min; $120) Perfect for problematic skin & congested pores. Came here for laser tattoo removal for my ugly microblading from another place. It does take several sessions but I'm pleased with the final result. They use the picosure laser. I think it's one of thy best for tattoo removal because my skin didn't get injured. My sister just tried the BB glow treatment for her pigmentation and she her skin looks pretty good. plan to take my mother in law here to try their Korean 3D facial next time. read more

Tina knows the science behind skin care because she takes the time to invest in her knowledge via training and extensive research. My friend had keratosis and sebaceous hyperplasia removed here and got really good result! I was told from my buddy that his sister also had acne scar removal done here and she was pleased. I have tried lasers for my scars before but it didn't help much, laser was painful and a downtime was over 6 months for me. I went in for a consultation with Tina, she is friendly and accommodating. She's been doing skin care for almost 20 years. She clearly knew exactly what she was doing. I knew that I had to have some patience with my scars, and it did definitely paid off. After 2 months, my acne scars and the large pores got so much better than they were before. The laser i got before was $3000, the acne scars removal here cost much less and I've got better result. I was never really one to use Yelp to leave poor responses, but I thought I had to share my very scary and unpleasant experience at this Skincare? for my boyfriends tattoo removal. We stepped in to the building which looks like a hair salon in the front and the skin care portion in the back of the salon. We were told to go to the back and wait at the salon where we would meet the person that would be going through with my boyfriends tattoo removal. It was partially our fault of not doing enough research of the facility and person that would be performing the tattoo removal, but we assumed that since the yelp picture stated tattoo removal with picosure we would check the place out. We were then greeted by a man by the name of Charles that came out in scrubs? and a scrub cap? which was quite confusing because we were not in a hospital and there were no medical surgeries going on in the back of the hair salon where the skincare clients were all met. He went over very briefly of what the "procedure" would look like and wanted us to sign a piece of paper without really explaining much. He went to the back for a second when Tina greeted us. THIS IS WHEN EVERYTHING WENT DOWNHILL. My boyfriend and I just wanted some information about the procedure and the licensing of the place or person that would be providing the services of the laser tattoo removal. We all know that laser tattoo removal is not something that can be taken lightly and can leave major scarring on the skin if it is not done correctly. We then asked Tina for some background on Charles who would be providing the services. The FIRST response to our question was, "If you do not feel comfortable with our services then you can leave". I was very confused because we asked very politely to make sure not to offend anyone. We just wanted to know the licensing of this place and the background of the man in scrubs at a skincare salon that was preforming the procedure. She then mentioned that he was a NEUROSURGEON at a hospital nearby and he was just there to help her on weekdays when he had time. She kept continuing to state that he was a NEUROSURGEON which really had nothing to do with anything I was asking. I was just asking for some background on the person who was providing the services of the laser tattoo removal. I could tell Tina was getting a bit upset with us asking for some information and at the same time it was a bit upsetting for myself when all I asked for was a bit if background. I then asked for the doctors name or card and all she stated was Dr. Nyguen. We asked which hospital and she did not want to mention and we were just given the cold shoulder after asking any information. This is not a review to hate on the skincare or hair salon at all, this is just a review to WARN people who are coming here for tattoo removal to be sure and do some research on this place. I am not sure if this place is very safe or licensed in the tattoo removal division and if the "doctor" there is licensed. I would understand if she stated he was a dermatologist, but I was very confused when she kept stating he was a neurosurgeon. Please BE CAREFUL here with tattoo removal and make sure to do some research, as I will too on this place. ********UPDATE*** below she stated that I never doubted their credentials from the start, and twisted my word. YES I did not go in doubting their credentials at ALL. I was never skeptical UNTIL I asked basic question. I do not like people taking my words out of context. I will copy and paste my EXACT message I said them and I'm sure LAMI skincare will have this exact message in their inbox as well. "Actually I never doubted any credentials from the start. All I asked from you was some background on the "doctor" that would be providing the services. We asked for the doctors card or any kind of website or full name? You, Tina had kept mentioning that he was a NEUROSURGEON but in all honesty...I found that very confusing because neurosurgery has nothing to do with removing tattoos. Simple questions like who the person was providing services should not have been that offensive. As for going in to the procedure room for your licenses you did show the aesthetician licenses in the room. My only complaint was how offended you got from a simple question and made it seem like it was RUDE on our end to ask about the man providing the services. We did not care if Charles was a "neurosurgeon" like you said. We just wanted to know his past in tattoo removal because after many consultations with dermatologists we did know how the process could be very damaging to the skin if not done properly. Simple questions were handled very poorly, and that was the main complaint." My review here is not to bash on this skincare facility or to add more fuel to the fire. This review is for people coming in for TATTOO removal, just be careful and if they accommodate to your needs and standards GREAT, if they don't then be careful and cautious. read more

This place is so wonderful! I actually went to this place as an out of state client but because of my bad planning did not call the clinic until 5 days before my arrival. The receptionist I spoke to said for the treatment I was receiving they are usually booked 4 weeks in advance but decided to squeeze me in on the day I asked. Not only were they so wonderful to let me get treated with such little time in advance they gave me a discount for being out of state client which was so wonderful! I have had terrible acne scars since middle school and was always told there was nothing that could be done to fix them. I have had laser treatments in the past but they did hardly anything to improve the condition of my skin. Tina treated me skin once and already since I've been back my skin has improved significantly; I even have people complimenting my skin now all the time. Tina was so kind and I really enjoyed talking to her while getting my skin treated. She was very accommodating and made sure everything was going okay during the entire procedure. You could definitely tell she was very knowledgeable in her field and gave me a lot of wonderful advice for my skin type. Such a lovely person! I have been to Tina twice for facials and had fantastic experiences both times. She is incredibly knowledgeable about organic skin care, and takes the time to explain best practices and the science behind the treatments which is a big plus for me. For the last two months I have been using a cc cream she recommended to me, which is seriously great. It provides great sun protection, as I am melasma-prone this is incredibly important to me, and leaves my skin feeling tingly fresh every time i put it on.
