Absolutely awful experience. Retained in October 2025 for estate and real estate representation…read moreafter losing a loved one. My case was delayed for weeks due to employee turnovers. Then they 1st assigned me to an estate attorney but when I met with the estate attorney, they said I needed a real estate attorney. Then for the next 7 months I struggled more to get answers from my attorney than I did previously with the opposing side. I was met with unanswered emails, ignored concerns, lack of drive, zero advice, but plenty of attitude, gaslighting, deflection and ego. In November 2025 my attorney charged me for 2 hrs work @ $450/hr for a "due diligence" search on the real estate and personal property that failed to turn up a lien on the property that hasn't been resolved. The same lien that is preventing a title search to clear which will also block any prospective buyer from obtaining financing. Which was even brought to my attorney's attention in April of 2026, by the opposing side, but he failed to mention it to me, advise me on it, or try to resolve it. But he did continue to bill me for his "negotiations" for the real estate property. I sent a complaint to the owner regarding my attorney's poor performance, lack of responses to my emails and questions, lack of regular updates, lack of a plan, lack of progress and billing issues. Instead of resolving the issues the owner forwarded my complaint to my attorney which destroyed any remaining client/attorney relationship, if there ever was one. Then my attorney responded and billed me for it, twice. My attorney and the owner promised credits for a double billing and a full billing review which I never received. I still haven't received June's invoice, a final bill or my case files which I requested on July 27, 2026. The billing department has never answered any of my many attempts to resolve billing issues. My attorney was a real estate attorney handling the estate portion of my case. He was very inexperienced, 3 years young as an attorney. Very immature, very ego centered. He frequently complained he was handling over 100 cases simultaneously. There were many irreplaceable items taken from the estate on multiple occasions and my attorney failed to take any action to protect my share of the estate. Any time I complained my case was not progressing my attorney and the owner would blame the other side. But that's what you hire the attorney for, if the other side stalls, your attorney should have a plan, your attorney should take action. That never happened. No matter how long the other side intentionally delays a good experienced lawyer would have acted instead of making excuses. Very unprofessional overall, the office, in my opinion, is run poorly. There are frequent employee turnovers and no notification to clients, no organization. The last email I received from my attorney was June 17. I emailed on June 29th, no reply. I emailed July 11th, no reply and I received a mail system delivery error for the paralegal's email address as address not found. I emailed again on July 19th, ccing the owner, and both my attorney and paralegal's emails sent me an automated "Out of office" reply stating they were no longer with the company. Then I emailed the owner directly and he suggested we discuss everything on a call, my billing issues, my complaints and what the next steps would look like including "leverage, cost, timing" to secure the estate property. I agreed to the call and then spent that entire call with the owner berating me, blaming me, blaming the opposition, cursing and raising his voice. It was disrespectful and unprofessional. The owner did offer credit of $2205, the amount remaining after exhausting retainer of $4500, but only if I continued my case with his company. According to my records, they overbilled me, at the very least, $2317.50. My case is no further along than it was in October 2025 in fact it's worse and now I have to hire another attorney.
