I know I can do it on consumer reports as well and because I actually gave Stanley Steemer really bad and that was the only reason they contacted me I mean they called me after I begged I lost sleep nightmare and this is the way it supposed to look so they put you in the door that's all gone all over the guy came downstairs topcoat so professional he comes down and I read about it and I feel like as a consumer. I'm well informed or try to be as much as possible and comes down he said so I knew that like every coat even though it was a topcoat had to dry like 3 to 4 hours in between fairness depending on humidity it could be 20 to 30 minutes. It could be 20 to 30 minutes just so you can come down and I'm done so you're gonna come back or what and he said he said I had to put five coats on your floors were so porous. The floor is very absorbed. I never picked it. I was going nuts. I just scrubbed the bone dry so I said you're gonna pick up directly behind me and I'm running so I had the cleaning solution down but the machine also has a water tank and I had the water tank running wide-open the whole time just trying to keep the floor wet enough so we can pick it up for drive. It was nuts. It was absolutely nuts. I mean if you dropCoca-Cola guy that was it. I think he dropped a Pepsi over here. I mean you know my whole house was torn up anyway but he said you know and you know like halfway done and he said oh my God I dropped a Pepsi do you want me to chip it all out? I spent hours calling all over st Pete to find some marble polishers that would actually accept the job. These guys had good reviews online. I work on a yacht, we have very temperamental marble, and had a very specific time frame in which we could have the marble guys onboard, we needed to fit them around the guest's schedule. The marble guys were very professional and gave excellent communication and were very quick in their replies to my questions. They were on time, and very knowledgeable. (I've worked with a lot of marble polishers and not all of them have been as knowledgeable as these guys.) They did a great job fixing the damaged marble and were very polite. Let me start with all terrazzo companies in the bay area are not created equal. When getting a bid ask what grinding plates they go up to as well as polishing plates. If the guy shows up with your high school custodians buffer in the back seat of his car, LOCK THE DOORS and don't let him in. Well this turned into quite a disaster. I wanted my terrazzo floors to be refinished. The quote was just over $3000.00. The four gentleman that did the work seem to know what they were doing, but I was wrong. First of all my walls were a mess from approximately waist high throughout the whole house. Dings from ramming into the walls and the milky substance from the sanding machine was everywhere. I was told after the fact they should have protected the walls but they didn't. The air was filled with sanding debris. At this time they sealed the floor with the debris falling into the wet sealer. I feel I could've done the same job with a $1.98 bottle of mop and glow. Long story short I had to retile the floor anyway. read more

I was very pleased with cleaning and sealing of my Saltillo tile floors. They were prompt and friendly and did a fine job. We had just acquired our new home, and all the floors are tile. It was a big job. I only wished that I had spent more time cleaning all the drywall dust out of the grout. The cleaning machine couldn't do corners well. David Gelinas is THE Marble Guy! The terrazzo floors in my commercial space were scheduled to be refinished and my landlord prepaid a company to do the work and the job was scheduled more than a month in advance BUT they didn't show up. For 4 days. While my landlord tried to work with the company he'd already hired and paid, I needed to work on a plan B in order for me to not completely lose my mind so in a panic to get the work done in time for me to re-open my business on schedule, I called about 8 other terrazzo floor refinishers looking for someone, anyone who could do the work immediately. I told every business I talked to that the possibility existed that the company that had already been paid to do the work might actually pull through and do it, but that I was wanting to create a back up plan to commence on the 5th day after the job had been abandoned by the company my landlord hired. David Gelinas was nothing less than marvelous. He not only emailed me back, immediately, he called and spent time with me on the phone to explain how he works, how he'd manage the job and he was a total customer service rock star because he jumbled his schedule and told me that he could have a crew out IMMEDIATELY to begin work and that my floor would be FINISHED by the next day. When you're freaking out and need something to happen, being told that someone will absolutely solve your problem and solve it RIGHT NOW is just about the best thing EVER! David texted me throughout the day to follow up and I kept him informed as the story changed almost hourly about when the prepaid company would actually show up and get to work. My last call of the day to David came as he and his wife were out to dinner and he actually TOOK my call and told me that, if the other crew didn't really show up first thing the next morning like they'd promised, he'd spring into action and get the job done for me. Talk about polar opposites. The lousy service from the prepaid company and the stellar service from David Gelinas, the Marble Guy.
