Highly recommend!! You won't be disappointed. We celebrated our anniversary here after a recommendation from my sister and it was the best! Wayyyyy better than staying in one of the area hotels. Don and Ellen were extremely hospitable. They were able to accommodate our late check in time which we were very grateful of. They had snacks, coffee and tea 24/7 along with candy and games. The inn itself is very charming and I love all the decor. We stayed in the Sycamore room on the second floor. The bed was a little too soft for our liking but everything was super clean. They really thought of everything! The inn is within 10-15 min drive to all of the area attractions! The BEST part was the breakfast! Don was able to accommodate for dietary restrictions and the meals were delicious! Portions were large! This is a lovely, historic inn with beautifully decorated rooms and the most delicious breakfasts. The host Don was extremely friendly and especially attentive when serving breakfast. We stayed in the Homestead Room which is one of the smaller rooms, and it was very comfortable and well furnished with shelves and hooks on which to hang things. The outside spaces are large and welcoming. The decor is very traditional and showcases primitive and farmhouse style throughout. The stairs are a bit steep, and there is some traffic noise as the inn is close to the road. read more

We just got home from our fifth time staying here, and it gets a little more difficult to leave each time. The hosts are amazing, the amenities are top notch, the food is outstanding, and the whole area feels like home. This is a 5-star place from the beginning to the end! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a 3 night weekend in Hershey to enjoy the fright night and other park events. Being a gay couple visiting the middle of PA was a little worrisome to how we might be received but at the 1825 Inn we were just another of their distinguished guests! Service: I would describe the service as being greeted and tended to by an old english butler. We never met Ellen, but Don's smile, great attitude, and service was extraordinary! I just can't speak high enough praises to Don's courtesy and good attitude. Facility: We stayed in the country cottage room and were wowed at first site of the room! It was like staying in our own little private cabin, clean, tidy, and well decorated. The property itself is beautiful and well kept too. Food: A delicious breakfast is served every morning with courtesy and a smile. Whether it's Don or Ellen that is the chef behind the curtain, hats off to them because the food was eggsellent! All in all we left wishing there were a lot more of these BnB's around. It is a true BnB, not just a place to stay and maybe cook yourself oatmeal in the morning. Unfortunately Hershey isn't a place we would frequently visit but 1825 definitely sets a very high standard for future destinations. Anyone who would choose a stuffy hotel over this place at roughly the same prices is a fool. read more

My husband and I chose to stay at the Inn for one night for a quick babymoon trip. We stayed in the Country Cottage and it was absolutely lovely. The entire property is so well planned and maintained, it's almost hard to believe! You can tell that the hosts take care and pride in every detail - nothing was missed or forgotten. What a charming inn! I stumbled upon this gem after searching in vain for somewhere affordable to stay near Hershey, PA. Most motels in the area were asking upwards of $250.00/night, and had all the charm of a mud puddle. The 1825 Inn is a beautiful old house off the beaten path in nearby Palmyra, PA (a mere 3 miles from Hersheypark and downtown Hershey). The decor is charming and our hostess for the stay (Sue) was equally charming. Our room (Hearts & Flowers) was somewhat small, but was sweetly decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room had a private bath (stall shower) and a tv with a dvd player. The inn offers a selection of dvds for the guests, stored in an old pie safe in the main parlor. There are also books, games and puzzles available, as well. The gardens on the grounds are lovely and were in full bloom during our stay. There's a lovely kitchen garden, a perennial butterfly and bee garden and the sweet scent of the silk tree mimosa perfumed the air. Breakfast was served on the enclosed side porch. Day one was a yummy mushroom/spinach quiche and day two was fresh blueberry french toast. Both breakfasts were accompanied by fresh fruit and a side (sausage or breads). The porch is open all day for the guests, and is stocked with teas, sodas, water, hot cocoa and cider mixes, as well as homemade cookies for snacking - and there is always plenty of Hershey's chocolate available too! We loved our stay and look forward to visiting the inn again. 1825 Inn offers a variety of theme-decorated rooms in various sizes, as well as two large cottages in the converted barn out back. The inn is best suited to an adult clientele, and not recommended for those traveling with young children. A the time of our stay, the owner, Will, was away with his family on a much-needed vacation of his own. I truly hope that wherever he was, that he was treated as kindly as we were at the comfort of his inn. read more

My girlfriend and I stayed for a weekend in March 2018. It is such a beautiful place. We stayed in the cottage which is immaculate and so comfortable. The caretaker, Don, is great - so friendly and attentive. We got to meet his wonderful family and his absolutely amazingly, adorable Cockapoo, Miley. We found this B&B through the Tesla website, since we were looking for a place to charge our car overnight while staying there. The room was very comfortable and the owner is friendly. There were brownies and coffee on the counter as soon as we arrived, so we ended up helping ourselves to a late night snack :) Breakfast was nice and was served on time. I would have preferred eggs but it is chef's choice so you get whatever they have available (you can tell them ahead of time of any dietary restrictions though). Overall a good experience, we will likely be back again if we're in the area. read more

Outstanding customer service, beautiful set up and very comfortable rooms. My wife and I lodged here for my daughter's wedding and it was fantastic. Breakfast in the morning was great - I highly recommend the blueberry french toast! We woke up every morning and watched the sun come up as we enjoyed our morning coffee; either in the garden or on the covered back porch. Don and his family were very attentive and obviously put a lot into the customers. Rooms were quaint with their own personality and the landscaping outside made you want to just relax on the gazebo or by the herb garden. For newly weds, I recommend one of the rooms in the back cottage. If you want a relaxing stay with a great meal and outstanding service, this is the perfect place to stay. read more

Skip the used and abused hotels filled with families and bed bugs and go right to this bed and breakfast. It is very close to Hershey Park and other fun things to do in the area. The grounds were gorgeous - great outdoor deck, porch swing, private gazebo, places to have fire pits - you can't get that stuff at an overpriced Hershey hotel! The breakfast was superb - filling, homemade, flavorful; made with love. Did I mention the sheets yet? Softest sheets I have ever slept in - forget those starchy sheets at a hotel! We even bought a pair (very pricey, but decided to treat ourselves). My husband and I stayed three nights in the Magnolia Room for our anniversary in November. We had an absolute lovely time. This bed & breakfast is warm and inviting, the decor is delightful, and our room was clean and cozy. We enjoyed just hanging around the house admiring all of the country/holiday decor, playing games, and relaxing. It is located just minutes from Hershey. So we were so close to all of the Hershey museums and tours. Will was extremely friendly and very helpful with recommending restaurants, things to do, and directions. Breakfasts were delicious! We just returned from a quick three day mini vacation to Hershey, two adults, and two teens boys 17 & 18. We were welcomed by Will and immediately felt right at home. Both rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The boys loved their bed and said they slept very well in the Rose room. My husband and I were in the Amish room and it was fantastic. We enjoyed the outdoor patio and grounds both nights, grabbing a home made brownie, cocoa and tea each night. The boys played Frisbee until it was too dark to see in the back yard. I wish I had taken photos of breakfast each morning. They were simply outstanding!! I require a wheat-free diet, which Will and David were more than happy to accommodate. It was incredible. What a warm and friendly pair of inn keepers. They will chat with you if you desire, or let you just enjoy the property with your party. They are great for recommending dining options for dinners and give you directions to all near by attractions. If you are considering a trip to the Hershey, Pa area and all members of your traveling party are over 12, STAY AT THE 1825 Inn. You will leave wanting to return as soon as you are able. read more

I have a conference in Hershey every year and every year the accommodations recommended by the conference are impersonal and expensive. This year they listed several B&Bs and I thought I'd give that a try. I'm so glad that I did! 1825 is quaint, clean, and accommodating. Don and Ellen were helpful at check-in and beyond, especially when I would have to leave before typical breakfast time. Don graciously started cooking early and made sure I had an awesome home cooked breakfast before I headed off to my meeting. I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to do so again. After a long weekend at 1825, we highly recommend this B&B especially a stay in the country cottage. It was cozy, clean and very comfortable for a couple including a king bed and small jacuzzi. The location is a bit close to a main road but a convenient spot in town with easy parking. Will and Dave make you feel at home with sweet accents throughout the inn and great attention to detail. They even warm mugs for coffee. Lastly, the country breakfast is delicious and hearty usually with sausage and fresh fruit. read more

What a lovely place! We stayed in the hearts and flowers room and it was bright, beautiful, cute and clean. The innkeeper was accommodating, helpful, friendly and a pleasure to speak with. The breakfast was delicious!!! They were even happy to make dietary accommodations (I am a gluten free, dairy free vegetarian) just let them know ahead of time and they are happy to help. They even have a DVD, book and puzzle library as well as a gift shop. Great coffee and a wide variety of teas and a little snack bar with microwave, ice machine and mini fridge for guests, they even offered warm mugs (beautiful handmade 1825 Inn mugs presented on a warmer) for tea and coffee as well as a weather forecast for the day ... I booked the Country Cottage for my husbands birthday weekend. We had a fantastic time and were sad to leave. The Country Cottage was warm, cozy, clean, and beautiful! The personable gracious host, "T" was a sweetheart. I unfortunately was unable to meet the two infamous people who own the Inn. They left it in great hands though. Breakfast was "amazing". Stuffed french toast with an orange marmalade and a citrus fruit salad. I did speak to Will about two weeks prior to our visit and explained that my husband may have been having surgery the week we were supposed to be there but we didn't want to cancel, just move the date. He was so gracious and said just let us know and we will work it out. Not a problem. So very understanding. We went to the Hershey Factory and made our own Hershey bars. There are lots of things to do in this quaint town. We will most definately be back!! read more

Don and Ellen made our stay in Hershey warm and inviting. Don is an excellent gourmet cook and the breakfast was scrumptious. The oatmeal craisin cookies he baked made our midnight snack with tea special. The house was beautifully decorated including the converted sun porch where we ate breakfast. As last minute evacuees of Hurricane Matthew, we were happy to be taken in by Will :) the cottage room had a 2 hot tub in the room, and a ornamental fireplace. He was a plethora of knowledge about the area and places to eat. The room was big, clean, comfortable sheets, and some cookies in the afternoon. Breakfast was innovative and delicious. We had the pleasure of staying at the 1825 in Hershey, PA for a family reunion. Over the course of a few days, we were spoiled with gourmet breakfasts, a great room including fantastic bedding and towels, privacy and quiet and the exceptional attention to detail of the inn owner. Our mugs were warmed for us at breakfast, my meals were prepared vegetarian, we were given great insights on where to play and eat, local history, and much more. We stayed in a cottage room, with a very comfortable king, standing fireplace, giant tub, cable TV, and adjustable heating/cooling unit. For me, it's the small things and did I mention attention to detail? Two shower heads, a makeup towel, bathroom heat, small in-room amenities like a ring holder, super soft robes, sheets and towels; close-in parking... Great find in Hershey, PA! There wasn't a speck of dust on anything including every baseboard and light fixture. Immaculate! The breakfast was so delicious and way beyond our expectation! Close to everything you want to do in Hershey. You will enjoy any of the beautiful rooms they have, so don't worry about which one you get. Enjoy! This was the first B&B for me and my boyfriend. I was very skeptical since I wasn't sure what to expect. From the moment I made the reservations until the time we left, Will was a fabulous host. The night before I read that the sink was in the room and thought that this was odd. It worked out so much better then I had imagined. The bed is extremely big and comfortable.
