Always a five star experience at the 1825 Inn!! Don and Ellen a are gracious hosts who always make you feel at home!!!

We've all heard that people are more likely to share a negative experience than a positive, but I'll tell anyone that will listen and some that won't that if you're traveling to Hershey, this is the place to stay. We just got home from our fifth time staying here, and it gets a little more difficult to leave each time. The hosts are amazing, the amenities are top notch, the food is outstanding, and the whole area feels like home. Everything about the 1825 Inn is great, and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway to this cozy place. A comfortable bed and fireplace were perfect for the night. Loved the tea/ coffee station and snacks that were available.Very stylish shared areas with a sunny porch to enjoy their gourmet breakfast. Don gave us some good tips local tips for dining and antiques. Will return!.

What a charming inn! I stumbled upon this gem after searching in vain for somewhere affordable to stay near Hershey, PA. Most motels in the area were asking upwards of $250.00/night, and had all the charm of a mud puddle. The 1825 Inn is a beautiful old house off the beaten path in nearby Palmyra, PA (a mere 3 miles from Hersheypark and downtown Hershey). The decor is charming and our hostess for the stay (Sue) was equally charming. Our room (Hearts & Flowers) was somewhat small, but was sweetly decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room had a private bath (stall shower) and a tv with a dvd player. The inn offers a selection of dvds for the guests, stored in an old pie safe in the main parlor. There are also books, games and puzzles available, as well. The gardens on the grounds are lovely and were in full bloom during our stay. There's a lovely kitchen garden, a perennial butterfly and bee garden and the sweet scent of the silk tree mimosa perfumed the air. Breakfast was served on the enclosed side porch. Day one was a yummy mushroom/spinach quiche and day two was fresh blueberry french toast. Both breakfasts were accompanied by fresh fruit and a side (sausage or breads). The porch is open all day for the guests, and is stocked with teas, sodas, water, hot cocoa and cider mixes, as well as homemade cookies for snacking - and there is always plenty of Hershey's chocolate available too! We loved our stay and look forward to visiting the inn again. 1825 Inn offers a variety of theme-decorated rooms in various sizes, as well as two large cottages in the converted barn out back. The inn is best suited to an adult clientele, and not recommended for those traveling with young children. A the time of our stay, the owner, Will, was away with his family on a much-needed vacation of his own. I truly hope that wherever he was, that he was treated as kindly as we were at the comfort of his inn.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a weekend in March 2018. It is such a beautiful place. We stayed in the cottage which is immaculate and so comfortable. The caretaker, Don, is great - so friendly and attentive. We got to meet his wonderful family and his absolutely amazingly, adorable Cockapoo, Miley. Breakfast was indescribably scrumptious, and this inn put so much emphasis into the little things as well as the big things, that it is truly a luxurious experience.

We found this B&B through the Tesla website, since we were looking for a place to charge our car overnight while staying there. The room was very comfortable and the owner is friendly. There were brownies and coffee on the counter as soon as we arrived, so we ended up helping ourselves to a late night snack :) Breakfast was nice and was served on time. I would have preferred eggs but it is chef's choice so you get whatever they have available (you can tell them ahead of time of any dietary restrictions though). Overall a good experience, we will likely be back again if we're in the area.

My husband and I stayed three nights in the Magnolia Room for our anniversary in November. We had an absolute lovely time. This bed & breakfast is warm and inviting, the decor is delightful, and our room was clean and cozy. We enjoyed just hanging around the house admiring all of the country/holiday decor, playing games, and relaxing. It is located just minutes from Hershey. So we were so close to all of the Hershey museums and tours. Will was extremely friendly and very helpful with recommending restaurants, things to do, and directions. Breakfasts were delicious! The bed was amazingly comfortable! I would definitely recommend this inn to others looking for an affordable, comfortable, charming place to stay.

We just returned from a quick three day mini vacation to Hershey, two adults, and two teens boys 17 & 18. We were welcomed by Will and immediately felt right at home. Both rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The boys loved their bed and said they slept very well in the Rose room. My husband and I were in the Amish room and it was fantastic. We enjoyed the outdoor patio and grounds both nights, grabbing a home made brownie, cocoa and tea each night. The boys played Frisbee until it was too dark to see in the back yard. I wish I had taken photos of breakfast each morning. They were simply outstanding!! I require a wheat-free diet, which Will and David were more than happy to accommodate. It was incredible. What a warm and friendly pair of inn keepers. They will chat with you if you desire, or let you just enjoy the property with your party. They are great for recommending dining options for dinners and give you directions to all near by attractions. If you are considering a trip to the Hershey, Pa area and all members of your traveling party are over 12, STAY AT THE 1825 Inn. You will leave wanting to return as soon as you are able.

    Loved the eggs!

Spending a week exploring Hershey and the surrounding areas has been on the list of want to see for a very long time and recently we had the opportunity to do just that. We had so much fun visiting with Samantha, she is the perfect GM, hostess, breakfast chef and baker. Her bubbly and friendly personality made our stay extra special. We were in the Napoleon Room, which is very private with a private staircase leading up off the kitchen. The room was huge, immaculately clean and so very comfortable. The bathroom was large with plenty of room to get ready in the mornings. The large and tall windows brought so much light into the room and having a mini fridge is a nice touch to keep waters cold. The Inn is filled with antiques, is warm, cozy and extremely welcoming to her guests. The basement has a nice pool table and a beautiful room with a long dining table, perfect for a small wedding reception or reception dinner. The grounds are beautiful and it is the perfect spot to stay for a few days or longer to explore the Hershey area. We felt right at home. Our breakfasts included, eggs benedict, scrumptious frittata and quiche along with yogurt, fruit and muffins with juice. There are fresh baked cookies and muffins with coffee and tea in the breakfast room all day for your snacking pleasure. There is plenty of parking, even a charging station for your electric vehicle. The Inn is centrally located to Hershey and the surrounding areas. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners one afternoon and they are lovely people who truly care about making the Inn comfortable and beautiful for their guests. We had the opportunity to see the other suites when guests were not checked into the rooms, each one is gorgeous with antiques, you can't go wrong with any room in the Inn. We absolutely will stay again, and you should book a stay and go. Thank you Samantha for truly making our stay special.

Whatever your destination, it's all within driving distance from the Inn. My wife and I arrive to the Walton Manor Inn at exactly at 4pm, check in time. Angie greeted us upon arrival and gave a brief tour of the downstairs, where the coffee machine is located is a biggie for me. I'm an early riser, at any B&B, I like to make a cuppa coffee and settle into a comfy sofa while my wife sleeps. Angie showed us upstairs to our room. Walking in, it was a very large space for just the two of us. I see in the shower there is community shampoo and conditioner. That's a little off for me, other B&Bs offer upscale products, some even have their branding on the products. There was no closet, within the bathroom was a makeshift closet. I'm look at the rug in the room, there is some type of hair, I'm not going to say cat hair but the rug needed to be vacuumed before we arrived. There was a mini fridge with frozen water bottles for the guests. The bedding was fine, the mattress and pillow were comfortable. The sheets and comforter were not, it wasn't what I would have expected at a B&B. There is a private lot for guests, it's behind the inn. Once checked in, you can enter the inn from the back door using the same code as the front door. Now that we spoke about the Bed, Lets talk about the Breakfast. When you go to any B&B, there's a litte menu asking what you'd like for breakfast. Angie asked us for a time on Sunday morning we'd like to dine. I told her we need to get on the road early so the first possible time. We're told the first seating is at 9am? The atrium where we sat down for breakfast was very pretty. Lots of large windows and sunlight. The breakfast choice is what was served. No choices of pancakes or eggs, bacon or sausage. We are in Amish country. During our stay, I picked up a smoked ham as well as amish bacon. For breakfast we were served frozen Jones sausage links. Again, the quality of any B&B should be in the details. We didn't received anything that was step above during our stay. I was able to ask about the house and how Angie came to own it. The house was built in 1911 and went through a major reconstruction to become the Inn it is today. Overall, the Walton Manor Inn Bed & Breakfast was a beautiful home but our stay was simply adequate.

The larger studio with 2 Queen Beds & pull out sofa is very spacious with 4 adults but can accommodate 5. There is a partitioned room /work space from the sleeping area, but no door. There are also two TVs. The other tv is located in the work space/separate sitting area with a pull out sofa, coffee table, & a pull out work table & office chair. There are numerous outlets, however some of the sockets were "loose" the plugs wouldn't stay secure in the outlet. But fortunately we remedied this by using other available outlets near the floor lamps. I was relieved when my friend & I pulled out the sofa bed, because sometimes you never know what kind of "surprise" you might find. The sofa bed was really clean & looked relatively new. My friend reported that the bed was a bit stiff but was fine. The AC unit worked like a charm! I do like the full sized shampoo/conditioner & body wash. It's very convenient. A hair dryer is provided for convenience. I do make it a point to search for hotels with a microwave & mini fridge. It's super helpful for road trips for your bottled water or beverages to keep cold & store leftovers. Water pressure was good, as well as the temperature. The only thing that was disappointing was the every other day housekeeping. Although this is mentioned in their website. Breakfast was fairly extensive, with a mixture of cold & hot items such as make your own waffles with options of bottled toppings aside from syrup, toast, bagels, yogurt, cold cereal, oatmeal, bananas, apples, oranges, jams, jellies, & three hot items that would vary on occasion of a frittata, or an omelette, and a type of sausage, either pork or turkey varying on the day. There were friendly employees tending the breakfast area with a smile, ensuring the areas stayed clean & items were replenished & for assistance if needed. Juices & milk were available. While the tea & coffee were at a separate area in the dining area. While it became busy, there was still plenty of seating & no back ups with obtaining food. Sometimes, I wonder exactly what people are looking for when it comes to "complementary" breakfast, when they refer to the breakfast as being garbage or inedible. Clearly you're not going to have eggs Benedict or avocado toast & customized smoothies. If a hotel provides numerous options that also include hot items, I get pretty excited. Haha, it's when it's a continental breakfast that consists of JUST bananas, apple or a bagel & yogurt or a thrown in granola bar is when the disappointment arrives for me. Honestly, it's a nice convenience to have breakfast included so you don't start your day off hangry or trying to figure out where you're going for breakfast. It saves time, & it essentially saves money. It definitely is close to Chocolate World, Hershey Park & a 5 minutes drive from The Hershey Story, Chocolate Avenue Grill & Au Bon Lieu! Roughly a 45 minute drive to Strasburg RR, and a 35 minute drive to Turkey Hill Experience. There is a CVS within walking distance down the block, and an Exxon a block away on the other side of the hotel. The post office across the street is an Annex, so if you need to mail something off, there is a post office near the Hershey Story Museum, behind the Starbucks area. Although places are within walking distance, the streets are not ,that lead to the restaurants. There is no sidewalk until you reach a far way down. Overall, this is a good choice for a hotel if you want to be "centrally" located to Lancaster & other activities outside Downtown Hershey. It's in an unassuming area that seems out of place, but it's convenient, clean, spacious, includes breakfast, parking is included, has a microwave & mini fridge so it ticks off all the boxes for me. Plus the staff were kind & friendly & the hotel looked fresh & beautiful. The indoor pool is small & only 4 feet deep I believe, so if a pool is a deal breaker, this might be a no go for you. Ps if you want a surface to eat on because you don't feel like dining out & you order take away, you can roll that office table between the two beds & use it as a dining table.

Just finished a six night stay…read more We stayed in large room. It had two queens and a pullout. There was a desk area. Also had a small microwave and small fridge. The room felt dark-with decor in particular. Breakfast every morning. Had your typical breakfast- waffle maker waffles, cereal, bagels, eggs, a breakfast meat, yogurt, fruit, juices. They also had coffee that was out 24/7. Has a small indoor pool and a nice exercise room. Hershey Park during summer months have concerts that you can hear from the sound from your room. So if you go to bed early this may be an important factor. Rooms didn't really have a refresh. I was lucky if trash was taken out and we got new towels without asking. Not a bed made once. I miss those days of coming back to a nicely made bed. I guess those days are long gone? Also, the week we were there lots of kids which were running around the lobby like it was a playground. Overall my stay was okay. I might book here again if I was in the area but I would also consider a different spot as well.
