This B&B is absolutely the definition of R&R! it was exceptionally peaceful in ways of sleep, comfort, and no one interrupts your peace back home or here!. The customer service is amazing! Kate(innkeeper), Brenda, Amy ( make your delicious Breakfast) if known in advance they make your breakfast specific for your dietary needs. The Caramel French Toasts & Baked Apple with maple granola on top was my favorite !!! . They all make your experience very homely and relaxing your entire week!. We ordered room service which you can choose that or dine at the table which most of the guest did. This was mine & my loves 1st B&B now it's his Go-to lol. When we arrived it felt like a super cool Mission-esq movie where you get an envelope from a old school phone booth with your name and 2 pieces of paper in it telling you (to proceed to your next mission lol jkn ) the ins & outs of everything. We got the Amaryllis Suite! the beds were overly comfy and soft guaranteed easily a wonderful sleep!. The closet had the soft robes and extras if needed, you honestly didn't have to leave your room unless you wanted a beverage!. The deck was nice any part of the day! The set up was so nice it was perfect for a romantic night dinner outside (but the wind was too much so we took it inside). The Jacuzzi was Hot, bubbly and sooo soothing (they provide you with the correct items to use, you can't bring/use your own stuff in the jacuzzi). The Vibe all around was peaceful , I even caught the Beautiful Sun rise from start to bloom!. It's no Hesitation I'd come here again and recommend it although I'd love to keep this wonderful Gem to myself! The secret of its amazing peaceful experience is already out of the bag!!. Next go I'm going to the Amazing outside Activity Amenities Wolf Sanctuary (Yes real ones), Barry's Classic Cars and several spots where the locals go ! The Exchange for Crab Beignets and Rooftop!!. Raquel and Juan are what make this beautiful Victorian House a place to remember. Rooms are exceptionally beautiful, comfortable and most important... Clean! We had our breakfast (cooked exactly as we wanted) in the Sun room and chatted with fellow guests from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. When done with breakfast, Raquel and Juan joined us in the sun room where we chatted about all sorts of things. I couldn't have felt more at home anywhere else. This is a definite 5 Star Plus place to be.

Here are a few of the reasons that I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Manheim Manor: -Todd & Lorene: These two are truly some of the most gracious hosts you could ask for. In addition to just genuinely being nice and thoughtful people, they are also full of history about the home, the area around Lancaster, and more. When more guests were coming in the other nights and parking was getting tight, Todd called me to let me know a special place I could park in the back of the house. They are engaging conversationalists and make it a pleasure to stay here. I had mentioned to them that I was a cyclist and hoped to find some nearby biked trails, so Lorene printed out trail maps for me that I ended up using the next day to go on a ride. -The room: I stayed in the Peaches & Cream room, which has a great screened-in patio that made for a wonderful place to sit outside and read in the evenings. This was really one of the selling points for me as I wanted to stay somewhere where I had some private outdoor space, and this fit the bill. The rooms at the Manor aren't huge, but that was totally fine as I didn't have that many things with me anyway. The bed was quite comfortable as well, and despite the traditional nature of the home, they also had a Roku for streaming, which I ended up using one evening for Hulu. -The house and history: Built in the late 19thcentury, Manheim Manor is an exercise in historical exploration, in the best way. There is a downstairs library with a great collection of books ranging from Shakespeare to mystery books that I read as a kid (Nancy Drew, anyone?). There's an upstairs library of VCR tapes that brought back memories from just looking at the covers. Lorene took me on a tour of the house and showed me a variety of interesting historical points in its various rooms. The property also features a great outdoor seating area in the backyard. -The food: This is really a high point! In addition to being an innkeeper, apparently a great handyman, and many other things, Todd is also a refined chef and makes culinary creations that wow people every day. From the blueberry pancakes to the orange scones to the broccoli and cheese quiche...wow! Having been very fortunate to have visited many a highly regarded restaurant across the world, I can easily say that Todd's breakfast rivals some of the best morning means I've had in Paris, Tokyo, and beyond. There is also a great collection of tea and many other things that make breakfast at Manheim Manor the best part of waking up. Now for the bad...I don't have anything to say. I always try to have one point that's not overly positive so that my reviews seem more "real," but I honestly can't think of anything that isn't glowing to say about my stay. Lorene and Todd are wonderful, and all the other guests I met during my stay were friendly and neighborly as well. I have no doubt that upon my next visit to the area, I'll stay here again.

The bed was a little too soft for our liking but everything was super clean. They really thought of everything! The inn is within 10-15 min drive to all of the area attractions! We cannot wait to come back when we're in the area and will recommend to all of our friends and family!

We stayed in the Homestead Room which is one of the smaller rooms, and it was very comfortable and well furnished with shelves and hooks on which to hang things. The outside spaces are large and welcoming. The decor is very traditional and showcases primitive and farmhouse style throughout. The stairs are a bit steep, and there is some traffic noise as the inn is close to the road.

The owners/management were extremely helpful and communicative. They let me know in advance the event would be happening and to invite us to attend, which we did. They event was very nice, live music, drinks and hors d'oeuvres. The breakfasts were also very impressive. The rooms were very nice and the house itself was charming. The location was fantastic for visiting Harrisburg. I will definitely stay her for any future visits to the area!
