We had the perfect 6 night stay at the Londonderry Inn. From the moment we met Samantha, settled into our room and savored her incredible breakfasts daily, we couldn't have asked or wished for anything more. Spending a week exploring Hershey and the surrounding areas has been on the list of want to see for a very long time and recently we had the opportunity to do just that. We had so much fun visiting with Samantha, she is the perfect GM, hostess, breakfast chef and baker. Her bubbly and friendly personality made our stay extra special. We were in the Napoleon Room, which is very private with a private staircase leading up off the kitchen. The room was huge, immaculately clean and so very comfortable. The bathroom was large with plenty of room to get ready in the mornings. The large and tall windows brought so much light into the room and having a mini fridge is a nice touch to keep waters cold. The Inn is filled with antiques, is warm, cozy and extremely welcoming to her guests. The basement has a nice pool table and a beautiful room with a long dining table, perfect for a small wedding reception or reception dinner. The grounds are beautiful and it is the perfect spot to stay for a few days or longer to explore the Hershey area. We felt right at home. Our breakfasts included, eggs benedict, scrumptious frittata and quiche along with yogurt, fruit and muffins with juice. There are fresh baked cookies and muffins with coffee and tea in the breakfast room all day for your snacking pleasure. There is plenty of parking, even a charging station for your electric vehicle. The Inn is centrally located to Hershey and the surrounding areas. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners one afternoon and they are lovely people who truly care about making the Inn comfortable and beautiful for their guests. We had the opportunity to see the other suites when guests were not checked into the rooms, each one is gorgeous with antiques, you can't go wrong with any room in the Inn. There is a certain something about staying in a bed and breakfast as opposed to a hotel. You get that personal touch that feels like you're being pampered and it's all there just for you. Your hosts make all the difference and your hosts here at the Londonderry Inn, Nicole and Dave, do just that. When we arrived they were so sweet, friendly and comforting you couldn't help but to feel welcomed immediately to your stay ( or experience). You can feel they really care and take to heart this Inn. The B&B looks just like it does in the photos ( sometimes photos don't really represent the location when you are searching for places to stay) but the Londonderry is beautiful and luxurious as shown, even more so in person. The hosts keep the Inn immaculate, with everything perfectly done up and placed. The Inn is originally from the 1800's and in the nicest way showcases just that between the furniture of the era, the rugs, the vibe, the class, and makes you feel back in time but without the heaviness of "old" things. Like I said it's airy and smells lovely inside. The rooms are each done in its own style and each one is lovelier than the next. There are soft cozy robes and bedding, delicious soaps, perfect lighting. There are tvs in the room for your modern needs and WiFi. It's the details of the place that make it a top B&B, what I look for in what I feel is worthy of its Select Registry designation! It's a more tailored and relaxing change from the Hershey hotel. There is coffee and tea all day and homemade cookies! Nicole and Dave also really enjoy preparing breakfast for their guests. We had a wonderful stay in the garden suite. Check in was a breeze, we appreciated the fresh baked cookies, and the generous and delicious / hearty breakfast. The room was bright and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. Only downside was the night we stayed a bunch of police and ambulance vehicles passed on the road in front of us in the middle of the night which woke us up. We fell right back asleep so no issues. Parking was easy and property is very nice and well maintained. We would absolutely return and would strongly recommend. Close to Hershey and the Lancaster area attractions. read more

This is going to be a long review so put on your reading glasses. The short of it is obviously I gave it 5 stars. The long of it is a complicated traveling life for a Black woman in rural areas. So, if you feel like reading the full description, keep going. I'm often hesitant to stay at BnBs despite how much I love their intimate style. Hotels offer a sense of security and accountability should anything go wrong. So, when I wanted to stay in Hershey for an extra 2 days to shop and relax, I decided to be brave. It's not easy for people of color to travel in rural areas without fear of white aggression. Pulling into this mostly white little town and this adorable historical inn, I felt out of place but also at home. The inn itself was cozy, clean, and simply adorable. As usual, we were the only Black people there so that made for slightly awkward and uncomfortable morning breakfasts. The other guests weren't super welcoming. Thankfully the folks working at the inn were all really nice and kind. Another complicated part of travel is the possible assumptions made. So each room here is themed. All of the rooms were sold out except for ours: The Africa room. Now, personally, I love it. What I don't love is the constant association of safari animals to Africa as if it isn't a diverse, urban, wooded, desert continent with many diverse countries. If they renamed it The Safari Room, it'd be more accurate. Besides the cultural inaccuracy, the room was gorgeous. I couldn't have imagined a more romantic, classy and comfortable room. The bathroom was a great size, the fireplace was lovely, the jacuzzi was romantic and big enough for two people. I absolutely loved everything about the room. There was Netflix and Hulu for our favorite shows and movies. You can control the room's temperature to exactly what you like. They even included faux rose petals which was an adorable detail we took advantage of. Okay, so the inn was really quiet so my guess is the walls are thick. We came and went as we pleased. We felt safe and secure. Our room was on the main road but the through traffic wasn't too noisy. The bed was so plush we slept amazing! I need to know the thread count of those sheets!!! I felt like I was on a luxurious cloud. Seriously, I may contact the innkeeper to find out where they were purchased. Breakfast was equally amazing. We had seasoned themed treats like peppermint scones and caramel pears. The frittata with veggies was delicious and well-seasoned. There was coffee and tea and it was all the perfect way to start each morning. Like I said, the other guests were a little standoffish. I like for BnB visits to be like distant relatives gathering to enjoy a quick meal and a little friendly banter. Everyone ate and spoke quietly at their private tables. Oh well. So, overall, I'd highly recommend this inn. Check-in and check-out was easy. The decor and ambience was romantic. Parking was convenient. The town was pretty quiet. The park is within driving distance as well as outlet shopping. If you and your boo need a getaway where you wouldn't mind spending all day in your room, this is the place to visit. read more

Upon our 3 year gap of finally getting to return to our lovely private stay here; we've encountered the lovely new innkeeper Nicoli. She is a breath of fresh air and has amazing culinary skills to die for. She amazed us each and every morning of our stay for breakfast. She sure knows how to fill our stomachs and keep the people happy lol. Besides that she is a really amazing person that is highly relatable and very compassionate too. I would pray and hope to return to see her again. My wife and I loved the stay so much we extended another day. The Londonderry Inn will always feel like a second home to me :) read more

If I could give the Londonderry Inn a higher score I would! This B&B was wonderful. Monica, the Innkeeper and chef was awesome. The rooms are tastefully done and comfortable. I was in town for a conference and needed to be there early and was easily accommodated with breakfast an hour earlier than scheduled. Fresh fruit parfait, homemade almond donuts and artichoke souffle was this mornings offering. A Keurig and tea maker available in dining room 24/7. Pool table in basement. Only 5 miles from the center of Hershey, it is worth the few minutes of driving. Perfect place for wedding party or retreat. I will be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for something different from a regular hotel. read more

Our company held a two-day leadership retreat at this incredible property. Samantha was absolutely incredible and voluntarily coordinated lunch for our group. The breakfast was amazing and she constantly had water, juice and coffee for us in the meeting room. The large meeting area was perfect for our group and the A/V was easy to use. The Inn is close to all of the Hershey attractions and we took full advantage of that for our evening excursions. Highly recommended! read more

5 stars isn't enough. Everything is first class - the rooms, the food, the location, the amenities, the cleanliness and the reasonable cost. That being said, by far the most outstanding attribute was Monica, the inn-keeper. She could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. You call tell she enjoys what she does and puts her heart and soul into it. We attend conferences in Hershey 1 or 2 times per year and we won't stay anywhere else. Taking off one star for new innkeeper who wasn't very friendly and gave off weird vibes. This was our second time there with the first being 2 years ago. It was lovely then, with very friendly innkeeper who made us feel very welcome. She brought our breakfast to us and was very accommodating to my lactose sensitivity. This time we got our own food like a buffet, and it seemed to irritate her that I drink decaf. Anyway, the lodgings are spot on and impeccable, and we would stay here again. read more

The seating area downstairs was an oasis of calm for rest and reading, and the decor of the rooms is opulent and historic. Bed and breakfast perfection. We stayed in The Napoleon Room, which is absolutely elegant, quiet, comfortable, roomy and clean as a pin. My daughter and I felt like royalty! Gorgeous furnishings, luscious fabrics and draperies, a large, airy bathroom, plush robes and towels, even the finest of pillows made this a stay to remember ......... and the breakfast...........delicious. inventive. great variety. locally sourced ingredients.
