This is a BAIT & SWITCH!! Beware!…read more They shut down some of the attractions due to under staffing yet sell you the package deals assuring you everything will open up or they will refund you for the closed down attraction. The day I went the alpine slide and chairlift were "closed" but since they promised they would refund that portion of it wasn't up and running by the end of the day I went ahead and purchased the Ultimate Pass. After 4 hours in the park we were ready to leave and slide and chairlift were still closed. Went back for refund only to find sales person was gone and current "manager" would not honor what they were saying earlier. I was staying across the street from this location and noticed after they had closed at 6pm, conveniently the chairlift started moving as employees sat at the bottom hanging out. We only wanted to do the slide and climbing attractions which would have been $70 but like I said we purchased the Ultimate pass for $90. We did have a good time and it was a vacation so I'm not gonna complain too much. The staff here at each attraction was really the only reason I'm adding an extra star. They were awesome and really looked out for everyone's safety and made sure everyone was having a good time. JUST DONT GET SUCKED INTO THEIR BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!

The harness is designed to put you in a seated position making it more comfortable. The experience was really made by the guides: Shane, Miguel, and Edwin. They were great. Pro tip: when on the Alpine slide slow down when the sign says slow down. I slipped off my sled resulting in minor injuries.

I definitely recommend putting this on something you go and visit in your lifetime. It is a very…read moreamazing monument from the time you walk up through the main gate you can start to see the monument and it's just amazing at the work that was put into it they have lined the pathway with the flags from all 50 states and it just kinda gives you this amazing walk up experience and that if you haven't seen you early enjoy. My family and I spent about an hour and a half there which is a great amount of time you can walk up get some great photos plenty of park Rangers around to talk to get directions and tell you a little bit more about the park They do offer videos certain times of the day that are very informative. They have a full-blown theater at the foot of the mountain, which is really amazing when people can perform and things like that which I had no idea that was there until later. And then they have this amazing easy to travel trail. You can do about 50% of it with the stroller and get close up to the monument and take a great photo but then there comes an area where it says I have almost 450 steps so we stopped right there and turned back, but it does do a loop around the whole area with spectacular views. I definitely think that this is a great place to go and visit really peaceful place well-maintained. They do have restaurants and gift shops there so if you're ever in South Dakota, go and give this place a visit

It's always fun to visit Mount Rushmore!…read more This time around I got to listen to a great presentation given by one of the staff. It was about the battle in Baltimore Maryland in 1814. He talked about the Poem "The Star Spangled Banner" that originated from the site of that battle and how it later became the national anthem. It was a very interesting and educational program that I appreciated experiencing. That paired with the usual amenities of the site really made for a fun part of the day! There is some confusing messaging about how to pay for parking that I think should be smoothed out, but I appreciate that the staff work to create a good experience even when there are uncertainties.

This is a bait and switch establishment. Told us the Alpine Slide was down but would open up later…read moreso they convinced us to buy the Ultimate Pass to take advantage of the time we would have to wait for the Slide. And if the Slide was never opened they would refund us the price of what the a la carte slide price would be. We did the Aerial adventure for 2 hours and slide still closed. So we did the zip line and tubes but still no slide. It was time for us to go so I went back to the office and was told they would not refund us as we already did everything but the slide and jump. Wtff! It was fun but NOT worth almost $200 for 2 people. ONE STAR for the staff who were all super cool and helpful. ONE STAR for the aerial adventure being a fun 2 hour experience.

If you are up for some adrenaline rush and physical exertion (can you climb a 20ft wobbly rope…read moreladder that makes you feel inverted), then definitely add this to your Mt Rushmore vacation itinerary. Located just 5-8 mins from the Mt Rushmore parking lot. We started of with a $35 package 800ft Zipline and "bungee" jump for the boys and $25 Zipline for us. TIP: don't waste your money on the jump, or the 800ft (15 second) Zipline. Go straight for the Aerial ropes course which have those elements built into several of their 8 paths/courses. We decided after that we wanted to do the 2hr Aerial adventure ropes course high in the trees, because it looked fun, well-built, new, and safe. TIP: They wouldn't re-bundle what we already did into a new package rate. Lame!!!! Buy what you think you might do up front. The regular rate is $49 for 2hrs or $10 less for 1h15m twilight pricing (after 5:00p). You have to start your last path by 6p. And you cannot try a higher difficulty path without leveling up from an easier level (yellow to green to blue to black). We did the twilight rate and only had time for the yellow, green, and blue. The green and blue were really fun, and had great Zipline and Jump elements built in. We were told the black is a real workout, not quite American ninja warrior hard, but hard. The equipment is very safe and the staff is well trained. They use a tweezle ropes system which is very safe with built in redundancies. Some of the yellow path equipment could use some tightening. Bathrooms were nasty. All in all, we had a blast and wished we could have spent all day there. This was the best ropes course we have ever tried.

HIGHLY recommend! We loved our key lime gelato (all their…read moregelato is homemade in shop!!) We loved our iced caramel latte (even offered some whipped cream for my tween). Loved the wine tasting - I tried 5 local wines from wineries: Prairie Berry and Firehouse. The three Prairie Berry wines were all VERY fruity and sweet (two reds and one white). And the Calamity Jane blend is the sweetest they offer she said! The two Firehouse were tied for my favorite! Sangiovese and Syrah. It did NOT disappoint! My wine pourer was still getting to know the wines themselves - but she was super kind and lovely to talk to - thank you Moriah!! Mya helped us at the register and was equally amazing. No joke - we've been to a few local businesses in the Rapid City/Keystone area and every single last person we talk to is LOVELY! Everyone has been super kind, helpful and willing to help a newbie Black Hills tourist find her way around. Oh! And have you seen the yard at G&G? Filled with corn hole (2 sets), a playground, an outdoor foosball table, two giant chess sets and tons of tables and chairs. And a fabulous way to spend our lunch break from sightseeing!
