This is a must if you visit Custer State Park. It allows you to close to the wildlife and go places in the park no one else can go. During the trip you get some history of the park and a lot of interesting information about the animals in the park. Great way to get up close and personal with a bison. We attended as part of Operation Black Hills Cabin. Thank you for supporting their program and for supporting wounded veterans.

We had an amazing private tour with Roger in November. He was very informative about the park and surrounding regions, the animals, and the history of the area. He knew exactly where to find animals. This is your opportunity to get the closest to a bison you'll ever get in your life. Plus, we felt completely safe. The online system is relatively new and you can still call the game lodge if you have questions or issues with the scheduler. Thank you for the amazing tour!

A friend had taken this tour and said it was her favorite thing that she did in SD. Price wasn't bad for 2 hours of fun. Our guide Jeff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Saw a ton of bison and prairie dogs as well as a few other animals up close and burrows from a distance. Great way to explore Custer. The Jeep holds 7 customers so the group is small in case you want to ask questions. He also stopped at numerous places and made sure everyone got the pictures they wanted before moving n.

Juan was our driver and very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We did a private jeep tour so our entire family could be together. We ranged from 7yrs-62yrs old and everyone enjoyed it. Juan was able to get us up close to the animals. The buffalo were so close you could touch them. We also saw pronghorn, a rabbit, prairie dogs galore, a buffalo "bull" walking down the middle of the road, deer. Everyone was very nice, highly recommend this tour. I gave it 4.5 stars as I think they should offer cold water or drinks on the tour for length and the price.

We had an awesome tour today, with Keith as our driver. It was a beautiful day in a beautiful park. We were able to view not only the buffaloes, but also donkeys, ground hogs, a badger, prong-horns, and big horn sheep. Awesome adventure!!!

This was a little pricey, but that being said, we had a great time, and out your guide was great. He was very personable and gave us honest answers to questions we had about certain things. We had a jeep to ourselves (party of 5), but I think that it would fit 7 people. Please note, if you book this, make sure you ask how to get there because your car navigation system will not get you there.

The donkeys will stick their heads in the jeep.

I was pleasantly surprised with the value for this tour. It was about $60 per person for two hours. The guide was very informative and was able to track down some elk, donkeys, and deer, along with the prairie dogs and buffaloes. The buffalo herd we saw had about 500 head and was amazing to see all the different ages of buffalo, from grand dam mamas to recently born babies. Our guide even took us to what he called Gobbler's Knob and we got a great view of the park, clear to Nebraska. I absolutely recommend taking this tour.

Had a great guide for our tour. Very informative (sometimes too much when it came to animals being cruel to one another) and very friendly guy. However, I felt we didn't off road enough. We were on the main roads like everyone else. Got to see a few neat critters, though.

Not worth the $55 per person rate. The majority of the tour is on the public road that you can drive your own vehicle on. 15 minutes spent off road among a herd of bison (pretty cool), but the rest of the time was spent listening to stories and driving around. Save your money and do the loop drive in your own vehicle.

    Bighorn sheep

Apparently they have stepped up their game. We off roaded a lot and saw prong horns, big horn sheep, deer, prairie dogs, a coyote, and rode with a giant herd of buffalo. Our tour guide was informative, interesting, and funny. A real highlight of our trip. Afterwards, we went to a chuck wagon dinner with steak & trimmings with great entertainment and more wildlife (deer & turkeys). Pricey, but worth it.

Buffalo Bob was a great tour guide. A bit pricey but honestly worth the value instead of just driving around not knowing the fun facts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day out with Duane our guide from Dave's World Tours made us feel like family from the moment we met him. He got to our campsite early and had a plan for the day but we could alter the plan anyway we wanted to, but our goal was to get a complete overview of the highlights of the area so that the rest of our trip we could focus on places we want to go back to and spend more time at. We also brought our bicycles with us and Duane made sure we knew how to catch the Mickelson bike trail, which is previously a railroad route. Since we are at Mount Rushmore & Custer, SD in the off season, we had many opportunities to pull over to walk thru tunnels and get great photo ops without a concern about parking or being a hazard. We highly recommend Dave's World Tours. We also found out they do airport shuttles and bike drop offs/pick ups. Our fee included our admission to all the parks we visited and we were dropped off at the "front door" of each monument. If we wanted to spend more time (usually an hour)or less we just texted Duane and he was there in less than 5 minutes. We cannot say enough good things about our day with Duane with Dave's World Tours!

Dave, the owner called a day prior to my scheduled tour day to make sure I knew exactly what would take place during my tour. Joe, my tour guide who I now consider a friend showed up on time and we hit it off immediately. He told me that it was MY tour and if there was anything I wanted to do along the way, all I had to do was ask. Joe, with a Law Enforcement and Park Ranger background helped make him the perfect tour guide. Being a long time resident he knows the area as well as anybody around. His knowledge of Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park made the days events come to life. Doing a selfguided tour would have been so much less than what Joe made it. I can't thank him enough for making the day so special for me. When we stopped for lunch several people approached him to say hello. These were his friends. Joe is a mainstay in the community. His pride and enthusiam about the area shines through. If you can't tell by now, I highly recommend Dave's World Tours. You will not regret your time in their caring hands.

The driver refused to use the microphone and he barely talked on the tour. When he did speak we couldn't hear him. At one of our first stops, we asked the driver why he wasn't using the built in microphone. He told me it didn't work. I then asked how long was it not working. He then replied it never worked. I called the company and was told a completely different story. Regardless, the driver put no effort to even try to use it or call the company for help. That is not even the half of the poor experience. I called the company at one or our next stops and he wanted to talk to the driver. I don't know what they spoke about, but nothing changed. About 3/4 of the tour, I called the company to explain about our dissatisfaction and to seek a resolution. The owner agreed the driver should be using the microphone. He offered to discount the tour by 50%. I agreed to the offer and felt that was an appropriate compensation. 2 hours after the trip ended, we received the receipt for the full price. I tried to call the owner 3 times the next day with no answer. On the second day, I was able to reach the owner to confirm the agreement we made. The owner then told me that we were satisfied with the service he wasn't going to discount the tour. Before I could discuss the issues with him any further, he hung up on me. When I tried to call him again 2 times he didn't answer. In addition, the van was unclean with old food, the seatbelt were broken and the back seat itself came loose. In summary. The driver lied to me. Our experience was very poor. Worst of all, the owner refused to honor our verbal agreement and charged us in full. A verbal agreement is a legal agreement and this company is just plain bad. I recommend you go with another company. This company is unprofessional.

Our tour took us through some of the most breathtaking locations, including Mount Rushmore, the Badlands, and so many hidden gems we never would have known about without him. We also went to Wyoming and saw Devils tower and beautiful frozen waterfalls. But what made this trip amazing wasn't just the scenery, it was Daniel himself. From the moment we started, it was clear that Daniel goes above and beyond for his guests. He thought of everything--water, coffee, snacks, chargers, binoculars--literally everything we could have needed. He is like a walking encyclopedia, sharing history, stories, and fascinating details that made each location come alive. We never felt rushed; instead, he took his time to make sure the experience was all about us. One of the most memorable highlights was something completely unplanned--stargazing in the Badlands. Living near a city, I never get to see the stars like that. But out there, I saw shooting stars, the Milky Way, and even satellites. It was absolutely magical, and it wouldn't have happened without Daniel. He even brought his camera and took stunning photos, which he sent to us at the end of the day--such an amazing touch! This wasn't just a vacation--Daniel said something that really stuck to me, it was a reminder to slow down and reconnect with life and nature (I have a high stress career and always looking to disconnect). The beauty of South Dakota was unforgettable, but without Daniel, we wouldn't have enjoyed it nearly as much as we did. If you're on the fence about booking with My XO Adventures, just do it, It's SO worth it, and you'll walk away with memories that will last a lifetime. We were picked up at 3:15 and dropped off at 11:30! We even stopped on the way at Wall Drug. The day we went, unfortunately , the weather was not aligning with the night sky we needed to see the stars which is something no one has control over. But the sunset was beautiful and the Badlands did not disappoint so I got over my no star night. My husband said a few times to me, this is well worth the money. He was just the greatest and Aimee the owner was very much updating us about the details and they brought snacks and a huge sub sandwich. I am attaching some pictures but they are ones that I took.
