I greatly appreciate the care I receive each week by Dr Mary Frye as she adjusts my neck, shoulders, back and hands. And massages my knee and shoulders. She places close attention to my neck and knee. These adjustments has enabled me to work outside with flowers, weeds, and gardening. I am able to walk up and down stairs several times during the day. Dr Shelbie was wonderful. She answered all of my questions -and I had a lot. They took the time to educate me and show me specific areas of concern on my x-rays. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how challenging that can be. I was pleasantly surprised to find out I was not in as bad of shape as I was expecting. This office specializes in the health of the total patient. Of course, chiropractic adjustments are the primary aspect. The nutrition part of the program is very reasonable and balanced. It is not simply a fad diet. It is all about taking care of yourself with real food and not chemicals. Teaching me how to help myself between office visits is something that I have not experienced with previous chiropractors. My family and I have been going to Dr Mary for about a year. I see a huge difference in the movement in my neck. I'm extremely thankful. The biggest change has been with my daughter who was on asthma meds, allergy meds and taking antacids just at 11 years old. I'm proud to say that thanks to Dr. Mary's hard work she hasn't had to take her inhaler in six months and doesn't take allergy meds or antacids. Change takes time. It doesn't happen overnight. I really dislike writing poor reviews. But I want to pass my experience along to possibly save others' money. This is NOT your standard chiropractor. I met reps from the place at a craft show. I told them about a specific injury I sustained years ago. They told me about special gadgets they had and how they could fix me. They gave me an appointment and charged me $20. I figured that money would go toward a first consultation/adjustment/xrays, but upon going in they charged me more! I had a consultation, xrays, and it was around $100! Reluctantly I paid for the first visit (I wanted an answer to my injury, after all!). The Dr. had me set up a second visit right away. When I called to cancel, the Dr. called me back and convinced to me come in. She specifically asked me why I wanted to not come in. It was so awkward. I should have been stronger and said NO. I just had SUCH an uneasy feeling about the whole thing! The persistent appointment-making was very weird and unprofessional. The second visit consisted of doing stretches, wearing weights on my head/shoulders/back (which actually felt really good and I think could help with general back ailments). I was then invited to a presentation (my third visit. I really just wanted to try out a new chiropractor... the amount of visits was getting ridiculous!). Get a sitter, bring your spouse, hard-sell presentation, in the evening, after hours. It was a time-share presentation. But instead of vacations, the Dr. was selling chiro services! It was a group presentation that consisted of Q/As! By that time I had sunk in over $200 and really wanted answers. Around 7:30 at night I was finally able to look at my own xrays and hear the Dr.'s professional opinion. She did not address my original complaint at all, but made it sound like my spine was degenerating a rapid rate and I needed her office to fix it. EXACTLY LIKE I WAS BUYING A TIME SHARE, she laid out the price, and 'special offer' if I plunked down a couple hundo down payment. She had the gall to joke with me when I said I wanted to think about it! Beware, you'll be walking in to a high-pressure sales presentation! Here's the skinny: For the services it will run you around $250 a month for around 2 years (I threw away the pricing sheet I was so upset with the lack of answers and professionalism.. my numbers are a little off). I'm sure they'd find a way to juice more money out of you, too, in addition to what was originally quoted. Each visit would most likely consist of stretching, light exercises, weight wearing, and an adjustment. The name of the program is "Maximized Living" and they give you a special anti-inflammatory diet and a 'home kit' to workout at home. Good things, but not for the deception and high price they charge. I feel SO taken advantage of. My radar told me this was a scam. But I wanted to believe the good in this place! It does NOT operate like a normal chiro office. Aside from the high pressure sales, everyone in the office is as sweet as pie. They office is really warm and inviting, and very well-organized. ***Another thing: They claim that God made the body and their services could get the body close to His original design, pain-free and healthy. I agree that God made the body, and did a perfect job, but claiming you can heal... using God's name to make money... be careful with that one. Jesus overturned the money changers tables. read more

Dr. Mary is knowledgeable and listens to her patients. She explains exercises and treatments and teaches how to change diet to be more effective for maintaining optimal body function. She has a friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere. read more

I attended an informational session for my daughter who was a patient of Dr. Mary . During this meeting , Dr. Mary was telling a story about a patient of hers that was in her 20's, who came to her with sciatica. She said that she had back and neck problems due to being an UNWED MOTHER!!! Who says that??? I was a young unwed mother, and my daughter as well. I wanted to get up and leave immediately- but didn't want to embarrass my daughter. I am not an easily offended person- however when you are a business owner/professional, and you're having this "informational meeting " -and your goal for this meeting is to gain patients.... how dare you be judgmental of who's money you're taking!!! As for you Dr. Mary- we'll both pray for you that when you die, God only asks you about your sins- I'm pretty sure God won't ask you about ours . Kelly read more

They are very serious in keeping the office healthy with sanitizing everything after every patient. Strange experience. Beware if you have never been to a Chiro before. This place uses the "Maximized Living" Program and wants to program you into it. You fill out many, many forms. They have you read pamphlets and brochures and then they quiz you on them. They have a t.v. running an ad for Maximized Living all the time. I felt like they were trying to brain wash me. Some of the methods used Could be helpful but I just could not shake the feeling that they were more concerned with their Max. Liv. program and getting repeat customers via "a program". You can also be better to yourself nutritionally without going thru their program and buying their supplements. It's a method of getting you to return repeatedly and give them more money. I was not allowed to even see my xrays unless I went to a 2 hour meeting first. This is not how Chiro's work. And in fact I have every right to my xrays. They are very thorough with their questioning, however they need to use the information they get from you in a better manner. They also use scare tactics and refer to your ills and ails as "bad", but they can cure them. It's deceptive practicing. They are God oriented and put that angle on it as well. I did receive 2 adjustments after I "warmed myself up" with hardly any instruction (exercises). After the adjustments I was then made to walk around weights on my head and lower back for 10 minutes. This gave me vertigo to the point of feeling nauseous. There was next to no true concern about me. They have you do more than they do and they keep scheduling you to come back again and again. I went there on a Thursday for almost 2 hours filling out forms and getting xrays and they did some sort of measurements or something with my spine, you talk to Mary Frye and they schedule you to come back in. That night Ms. Frye called and left a message saying she looked at my xrays and it is worse than we thought but she can fix me. I spent the night wondering how serious it all was. When I returned the next day she said I had scoliosis and that is bad. She also said I was straight at the top of the spine where most people are curved and this could be the cause of many years of depression. I have no idea whether or not there is any truth in this, how would I know. I did not go to the 2 hour meeting as I felt it was a scam to scare me and my husband into signing up for their program. I went to a second chiro for another opinion and so far it has been a completely different experience. read more
